Fire Country Season 4: Release Date, Cast, Plot, and All You Need to Know
Image
Fire Country has been turning up the heat ever since it blazed onto screens in 2022, and it’s showing no signs of cooling off. Co-created by Max Thieriot, Tony Phelan, and Joan Rater, the series doesn’t just chase flames in the forests—it chases the sparks, burns, and bruises in its characters’ lives, too. Front and center is Bode Donovan (played by Max Thieriot), an inmate swapping a prison cell for a fire line in California, where every blaze fought is a step closer to freedom.

Over three seasons, it’s been this perfect mix of adrenaline-pumping rescues and gut-hitting emotion, all while tipping its hat to the real-life volunteers in the California Conservation Camp Program. And with that Season 3 finale leaving viewers clutching their hearts—after Sharon, Vince, and Walter are trapped inside the care home as the roof gives way—fans are waiting for Season 4 to answer their smoldering hot questions.

‘Fire Country’ Season 4 Premiere Date Gets Major Change With ‘Sheriff’ Spinoff
Image
Fire Country is returning for more, but it will do so without two of its original stars — Billy Burke (Vince) and Stephanie Arcila (Gabriela) — in a shocking twist after the Season 3 finale, which ended on a major cliffhanger. CBS renewed quite a few of its shows early on, with the Max Thieriot-led drama one of them, in February 2024. But that’s not all that’s coming as the Fire Country universe is expanding. And that addition is tied to a notable change for the series’ fourth season premiere, as announced in July. Read on for everything we know about Fire Country Season 4, from the premiere date to the cast, as well as the spinoff Sheriff Country, and more. What led to Fire Country‘s early renewal? “This season, our new and returning series continue to showcase CBS as the leader in launching and programming the biggest hits with mass...

Fire Country: Season Three Ratings + Viewer Votes
Max Thieriot has been part of CBS' primetime schedule since 2017 — first on Seal Team and then on his own show, Fire Country. The former series just ended on Paramount+ after a seven-season run (Thieriot departed in season six). How long will Fire Country last? Will the series be cancelled or renewed for season four? Stay tuned.

An action drama series, the Fire Country TV show stars Max Thieriot, Billy Burke, Kevin Alejandro, Diane Farr, Stephanie Arcila, Jordan Calloway, and Jules Latimer. In the story, Bode Donovan (Thieriot) is a young convict seeking redemption and a shortened prison sentence. He joins a prison release firefighting program in Northern California, and it's a high-risk, high-reward assignment. Bode is unwittingly assigned to Three Rock Con Camp in his small hometown of Edgewater. That's where he was once a golden all-American son and where his troubles began. Five years...

'Fire Country' Fans Are in For a Treat on Netflix This Summer
Image
As CBS’ Fire Country prepares for its much-awaited return to the network, the procedural also has fantastic news for fans. Fire Country was renewed for Season 4 earlier in February amid Season 3’s run, and, unsurprisingly, a premiere date wasn’t announced, although that should be expected in due time. As we count down till then, Netflix is giving fans in the U.S. the opportunity to revisit previous episodes of the action drama this summer, about a year after Season 1 debuted on the streamer.

What’s on Netflix can confirm that Fire Country Season 2 will be available on the streamer starting August 1, with the license to the show possibly being retained through at least August 2027. The season comprises ten episodes, the lowest of all so far, and it aired on CBS between February 16 and May 17, 2024. Max Thieriot, Kevin Alejandro, Jordan Calloway, Stephanie Arcila, Diane Farr, and Billy Burke are among...

Fire Country Has Always Hated Gabriela
Image
It is always disappointing when something you’ve been looking forward to for a long time seems to be happening finally, only for everything to fall apart.

That’s how Fire Country is making me feel with the writers’ decision to write out Gabriela Perez in the upcoming season.

Just to recap, it was announced that Billy Burke and Stephanie Arcila will be demoted from their series regular duties in Fire Country Season 4.

(Sergei Bachlakov/CBS)

The Season 3 finale did not set up such exits, although we have a feeling about how Vince Leone will be written out.

These two departures could not have come at a worse time.

We explored how Billy Burke’s departure would be detrimental to the show, but most of the points made are not directly related to the character’s journey.

However, for Gabriela, it would be antithetical to the work done throughout the...

What Does The Future Look Like For Bode Leone In Fire Country Season 4? (Photo Credit – Prime Video)

Fire Country isn’t just about wildfires. It’s about the ones that rage inside Bode Leone—and Season 4 is about to stoke those flames harder than ever. When the CBS firefighter drama returns this fall, Max Thieriot’s redemption-seeking hero will navigate more than just a smoldering landscape.

With the Season 3 finale literally bringing the roof down on his family, Fire Country is setting the stage for Bode’s emotional inferno. And honestly? It’s the bold, gritty shake-up this story needs.

"We’ll See How The Community Heals": Stephanie Arcila's Fire Country Co-Stars React To Gabriela's Looming Exit
Image
Fire Country stars react to Stephanie Arcila's unexpected departure, and how this will impact Gabriela's impending exit. It has been confirmed that Arcila will unexpectedly not return for Fire Country season 4, despite her character having no exit storyline, even among season 3's cliffhanger ending. Gabriela's stalker story came to a conclusion, with crazed stalker Finn attacking her, before being shot by Audrey, but there is no indicator that she will get an exit story.

TV Line interviewed cast members Kevin Alejandro, Diane Farr, and Jules Latimer at a CBS red carpet event, and asked about why Gabriela will suddenly be missing in Fire Country season 4, and if they'd heard anything. Alejandro revealed that it is a mystery to the rest of the cast, and that the community will need to heal, stating the theme of the show is about family. Farr also revealed that Arcila will be invited back at some point.

Fire Country Season 4: It’s a ‘Mystery’ How Gabriela Will Be Written Out, Say Co-Stars — Watch
Image
Stephanie Arcila’s Fire Country co-stars agree: “It’s a shocker” that she is not returning as a series regular for Season 4 — especially since no exit storyline was even hinted at in last month’s otherwise cliffhanger-filled finale.

Working the red carpet at CBS’ recent schedule-reveal shindig, TVLine asked Kevin Alejandro, Diane Farr and Jules Latimer if they had heard anything — or had theories — on why Gabby will suddenly be missing from Edgewater when Season 4 arrives this fall.

"Very Broken": ‘Fire Country' Star Max Thieriot Reveals How Bode Will Handle Vince Possibly Dying
Image
After the jaw-dropping cliffhanger in the Season 3 finale, Fire Country is bracing for seismic shifts as it heads into Season 4. The finale ended with several characters’ lives hanging in the balance, including Vince (Billy Burke), Bode’s father. In the closing moments, Bode joins his grandfather, Walter (Jeff Fahey), on the frontlines of the Zabel Ridge wildfire, but things take a tragic turn when Vince and Sharon (Diane Farr) enter the Buena Vista care center and become trapped inside after the roof collapses. Their fate remains unknown, but with reports confirming Burke’s departure from the series, fans are preparing for the worst. If Vince does not survive the ordeal, Bode will likely be left to deal with overwhelming guilt, especially since he defied his father’s direct order to stay away. Star Max Thieriot has hinted at what Bode’s emotional state might look like if Vince doesn’t make it out alive.

Fire Country Season 4: Max Thieriot Worries Bode Will Be ‘Very Broken’ If [Spoiler] Has in Fact Died — Watch
Image
Fire Country star and co-creator Max Thieriot is frankly worried “how poorly” Bode will respond if his firefighter father, Vince, winds up dying in the blaze that closed out Season 3.

When last we tuned into the Friday-night CBS drama, the scene at Walter’s memory care center was mayhem. Racing to the facility after realizing it was in the path of the Zabel Ridge wildfire, Bode and Walter (Jeff Fahey) spent a lot of time hunting for Walter’s pal Otto, eventually finding him sheltered in a closet.

Here’s What Billy Burke’s and Stephanie Arcila’s Departures From Fire Country Means For Season 4
Image
Big changes are ahead for Fire Country Season 4 — some good and some bad.

As we saw during the Fire Country Season 3 finale, three main characters faced certain peril, and we already know that two cast members are done with the show.

I must admit that I have become numb to the show threatening to kill off members of the Leone family, only to have them miraculously survive — but that time may have passed.

(Sergei Bachlakov/CBS)

As has been widely reported, the Fire Country cast will move on without Billy Burke (Battalion Chief Vince Leone) and Stephanie Arcila (Firefighter Gabriela Perez).

This is where fans will have mixed reactions about where the show is heading, but I am keeping hope alive that it opens some new doors for fresh storytelling.

(Sergei Bachlakov/CBS)

The writers long ago ran out of stories to tell about Gabriela, having her bounce between Bode...

Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2 Episode 4 Review: Symphonies and Secrets
Image
Some relationships work harmoniously like a symphony, whereas others are filled with dysfunctional secrets.

Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2 Episode 4 highlighted many problematic relationships, though Wolfie and Tina’s relationship was most on display.

However, it also dove into the control and power dynamics of several other relationships, including Victoria and Imogen.

(Reiner Bajo/Disney)

This was the most enjoyable episode since it combined angsty and dysfunctional relationships with entertaining antics while the guests were high.

While this was Wolfie and Tina’s backstory, this installment still featured enough of everyone else. It felt like an ensemble, while some of the previous episodes felt like they only focused on select characters.

The Rainmaker Trailer Brings Back the USA Network Vibes We’ve Missed
Image
We’re calling it the official return of Blue Sky programming, and it can’t come too soon.

If you’ve been pining for the heyday of USA Network — when law was a little looser, characters were a little quirkier, and drama still knew how to have fun —The Rainmaker might just be the comeback you’ve been waiting for.

Today, the official trailer was released, and we admit it. It knocks our socks off.

(Courtesy of USA Network)

From the mind of John Grisham and the producers at Blumhouse and Lionsgate, The Rainmaker premieres on August 15 on USA, with episodes available on Peacock one week later.

It stars Milo Callaghan as Rudy Baylor, a scrappy new lawyer who loses one job before lunch and lands another under Lana Parilla‘s Bruiser, a no-nonsense attorney who runs her firm out of a rehabbed Taco Hut.

Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Service Exclusive Clip: Uncovering a Health Horror Show
Image
Think your favorite local diner is safe? Think again.

Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Service is here to remind us why we might want to stick to cooking at home.

In this exclusive sneak peek of the upcoming “Mrs. White’s” episode, Ramsay proves that what we don’t see behind kitchen doors could ruin our appetite for good.

(Fox/Screenshot)

The clip is stomach-turning. And not in the exaggerated TV way — in the real, “I may never eat chicken again” kind of way.

Ramsay uses tiny inspection cameras to probe under stoves and behind shelves, only to find decades of grease, grime, and biological betrayal.

(Fox/Screenshot)

It’s like peering into a culinary crime scene.

One glance at the goop-covered mystery equipment or the vat of what used to be poultry and you’ll be rethinking your next restaurant outing.

Joe Locke and Kit Connor in Heartstopper (2022)
Is Netflix Making the Right Move with a Heartstopper Movie?
Joe Locke and Kit Connor in Heartstopper (2022)
Netflix recently announced its decision to conclude Heartstopper with a movie, rather than another season.

The show premiered in 2022 and is based on a webcomic series created by Alice Oseman.

Dedicated fans widely loved the first three seasons.

(Netflix/Samuel Dore)

Heartstopper is known for its creative animations and storytelling style, which is similar to the comics. It’s also known for its queer representation.

Not many shows like Heartstopper exist to show young queer people and the realistic challenges they face. The range of LGBTQ+ representation in the show is also pointed out as revolutionary.

So, fans have fought to keep Heartstopper going. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end.

Steven Spielberg’s Daughter Makes Her Horror Debut — and You Can Watch It for Free on Tubi
Image
Summer horror just got a little cooler, and this time, it comes with a Spielberg twist.

Tubi is giving us a thrilling gift on June 27 with the premiere of Please Don’t Feed the Children, the directorial debut of Destry Allyn Spielberg.

Yes, that Spielberg. And yes, she’s diving headfirst into horror, which, as we all know, is the best summer genre. Campfires, slasher flicks, and now a viral dystopia with a creepy title? I’m in.

(Courtesy of Tubi)

The Tubi Original stars Michelle Dockery — Downton Abbey’s icy aristocrat — flipping the script as a woman with a seriously sinister streak.

Giancarlo Esposito joins the ride (as if this cast wasn’t already elite), and the story follows a group of orphans escaping a virus-ravaged world, only to stumble into something even darker.

(Courtesy of Tubi)

Let’s just say, surviving childhood may be the least of their problems.

Stephanie Arcila Addresses Gabriela & Bode’s Relationship Following Fire Country Exit
Image
Stephanie Arcila, who plays Gabriela Perez, is exiting Fire Country as a series regular ahead of season 4, leaving many fans wondering what comes next for her character's relationship with Bode Leone. Bode and Gabriela's dynamic was a focal point in the first three seasons of the CBS action drama series. It was also a source of conflict, as the two have a contentious history. However, Bode and Gabriela's chemistry and attraction towards one another couldn't be denied, which is why they were so drawn to each other. They could never get the timing right, though.

During an interview with ScreenRant's Rachel Foertsch, Arcila spoke about the state of Bode and Gabriela's relationship following the Fire Country season 3 finale. Now that Gabriela will be gone, it's unclear what comes next for her and Bode. It also doesn't help that, as Foertsch pointed out, Bode and Gabriela's story feels unfinished.

“They’ll Always Have Love For Each Other”: 'Fire Country’ Star Assures Audiences Bode Won't Forget About Gabriela
Image
Big changes are on the horizon for Fire Country when Season 4 premieres, as the show has promised to "keep pushing the envelope." Some of those changes are expected to unravel through the show's efforts to address the departure of two key cast members — Stephanie Arcila, as Gabriela Perez, and Billy Burke, as Chief Vince Leone. Gabriela's romance with Bode (Max Thieriot) was essential to the show's emotional core. Despite their romance being fraught with setbacks, audiences constantly rooted for the pair, hoping Season 3 would reunite them as a couple. Alas, with Gabriela set to leave Edgewater, their future as a couple seems bleak. In a recent interview with ScreenRant, Arcila reflected on Gabriela and Bode’s complex connection.

Given how their attempts to move on with other people always fell apart, it seemed like the show was building towards an inevitable reunion for Gabriela and Bode. Consequently, Arcila's departure was shocking.

"Sometimes We Need Breaks": 'Fire Country's Stephanie Arcila Defends the Creative Decision To Write Out Gabriela
Image
Stephanie Arcila has had time to ruminate on her character's shock exit from Fire Country, and now, she's thinking it might be what's best for her character, Gabriela. Soon after the Season 3 finale aired, news broke that Arcila would not be returning to the first-responder series as a series regular. The news shocked not just the fans but Arcila as well. The actress was informed of her exit on the same day the show scored a Season 4 renewal, shortly before the news was made public. "I think I was in shock because I had no idea, and at the same time, this is the industry that we're in," the actress said in a recent interview with ScreenRant, addressing the departure. Further sharing her initial reaction with the outlet, she continued:

Gabriella Perez’s Departure: Did Fire Country Do Her Justice?
Image
When the Season 3 finale of Fire Country ended, fans believe that biggest thing they had to worry about what whether or not any of the trapped members of the Leone family would survive the fire.

However, shortly after the end of the finale, it was announce that Gabriella Perez (Stephanie Arcila) would be exiting the show along with another unconfirmed actor. Gabriella’s exit was to leave town.

Gabriella Perez Is Leaving Town

Fire Country spoilers indicate that Vince Leone (Billy Burke) seems to be the other actor who is ready to leave. Gabriella’s exit certainly makes sense for a little while.

After all, Gabriella has been through quiet a bit. Gabriella should probably seek out some professional help at the moment anyway. However, this is not the exit that Gabs deserves.

The finale ended with Bode outside, only able to watch as the burning building collapsed on his family. As Fire Country Fizzles, Sheriff Country Unveils Impressive New Cast Members — Can the Spinoff Succeed?

There’s been so much chatter about the future of Fire Country after some significant departures that I forgot Sheriff Country was gearing up for its launch during the 2025-26 season.

It was a compelling way to connect these two universes, but beyond that, there were many questions about who else would be on Sheriff Country.

“They’ll Justify This Journey”: ’Fire Country’s Stephanie Arcila Is Ready To Be Surprised by Gabriela’s Exit Storyline

When Fire Country wrapped up its Season 3 finale, fans were left reeling — but not because of Gabriela’s fate. In a total shocker, it was announced that Arcila, who had been with Fire Country since the beginning, wouldn't be back for Season 4. And there was no setup for an exit storyline. What's going on?

Speaking to TVLine, Arcila reflected on the sudden departure, admitting that she learned the news the same day Season 4 was officially ordered. As for why Gabriela won’t be around when the new season picks up, Arcila kept it diplomatic:

The following contains spoilers from the Season 3 finale of CBS’ Fire Country.

Though the Fire Country Season 3 finale on Friday night left viewers with a number of cliffhangers, the fate of Stephanie Arcila’s Gabriela did not figure into any of them. The first hour did hint that Gabby had shot almost-beau turned stalker Finn, which at the very least could have raised questions of “self-defense,” but soon enough it was revealed that ex-con Audrey (Leven Rambin) had instead pulled the trigger, to protect her friend.

"There's a Lot of Loss": 'Fire Country' Team Explains the Upcoming Departures in Season 4
Image
Changes are on the horizon as the CBS firefighter drama series Fire Country gears up for Season 4. Following an eventful third season for Gabriela Perez (Stephanie Arcila) and Vince Leone (Billy Burke), it was revealed that the characters won't return in the upcoming season, marking the first major exits in the hit series. Deadline talked to executive producers and co-creators Joan Rater and Tony Phelan about this decision that will have a huge impact on the show when it returns in the fall. "It really just comes down to what’s the best creatively," Rater said when asked if cutting costs was a motivating factor in writing out the two fan-favorites. Some shows like Chicago Fire have resorted to reducing the number of series regulars as the cost of keeping shows on the air has become a major consideration for many productions. Rater explained:

"There’s a lot of stuff...

“Never Say Never”: This 'Fire Country' Star Won't Rule Out a Return to the Show After Shocking Season 3 Exit
Image
Gabriela Perez will not appear in Fire Country Season 4. This decision was made creatively by the show's executive producers. "We were filming. I actually got the news the day that we got renewed, so it was kind of serendipitous because I love the aspect of death and rebirth. Not that I’m dying, but you know what I mean, synonymously," series star Stephanie Arcila told Deadline about how she learned that her character was being written out. "I believe in fate and that we’re put where we’re supposed to be. And this is the nature of our business, right? This is what we all sign up for," she added. The exit was unforeseen and shocking, and the outlet asked the actress if she would consider returning to the show. Arcila shared a positive update about her future on the drama series, saying:

"I never say never. Life takes us through so many avenues,...

"We Will Play With Time": Work on 'Fire Country' Season 4 Is Starting Sooner Than Fans Think
Image
Following the massive cliffhanger in Fire Country Season 3, it's only natural that viewers would want to know what comes next. The good news is that this curiosity will be satisfied when Season 4 returns this fall. Details about the upcoming season are not yet out, but showrunner Tia Napolitano told Deadline that decisions will be made soon. "The writers room starts in a week and a half, so I think we will play with time," she said, revealing that the team is ready to dive into the story's next chapter. The showrunner promised viewers would get their answers, saying:

"I think the most important thing is, we’ve left huge cliffhangers, so we’re going to satisfy all of those cliffhangers and give everyone the information that they’re craving — we’re certainly never going to skip over any of that. Will we play the time deeper into the episode? Perhaps,...

‘Fire Country Is Losing Two Crucial Cast Members Ahead of Season 4
Image
Fire Country finished its third season with a two-hour finale on Friday, April 25. The show will return for Season 4 in the 2025-2026 TV season, but a report from Deadline reveals that two series regulars won't return for the upcoming season. Stephanie Arcila, who plays firefighter Gabriela Perez, was confirmed to be leaving the show after playing the character for three seasons. It was also reported that Billy Burke, who plays Chief Vince Leone, might also be leaving the show, but Fire Country's creative team refused to confirm this departure, possibly to keep the outcome of the Bella Vista fire a mystery.

These departures mark the first major exits in the hit series that has kept its main cast intact for as long as it has been on the air. "It really just comes down to what’s the best creatively," co-creator Joan Rater told the outlet when asked why these departures were happening now.

‘Fire Country’ Shocker: Two Original Cast Members Leaving CBS Drama After 3 Seasons
Image
Spoiler Alert: The story includes details about the two-part Season 3 finale of CBS’ Fire Country, “A Change In the Wild” and “I’d Do It Again.”

Exclusive: Three seasons in, CBS’ Fire Country is shaking things up. After keeping its original seven-member main cast intact since the pilot — something extremely rare these days — the firefighter drama will head into its fourth season without two of them, sources tell Deadline.

The series had been setting up a possible exit for Jordan Calloway, whose ambitious Station 42 Captain Jake Crawford had given a two-week notice in pursuit of better career opportunities elsewhere. Instead, sources tell Deadline it will be Stephanie Arcila, who plays firefighter, paramedic and Bode Leone’s (Max Thieriot) on- and off- love interest Gabriela Perez, and Billy Burke, who portrays Jake’s boss and Bode’s father, Cal Fire Battalion Chief Vince Leone, who will be leaving the series.

Fire Country Spoilers: Finn Grabs A Hostage, Could It Be Sharon
Image
Fire Country spoilers reveal that Gabi Perez’s (Stephanie Arcila) stalker has gotten away with a scalpel even though Vince Leone (Billy Burke) prevented him from hurting Gabi. However, that doesn’t mean that Finn (Blake Lee) won’t try to get to someone else at station 42 to get his hands on Gabi. Will Sharon Leone (Diane Farr) be his unfortunate next victim?

Sharon Leone Is On Antirejection Medication

Sharon would be the ideal candidate because her life would be in danger if she were kidnapped. Sharon had to have a kidney transplant during Season 2 and has to take medication to make sure she doesn’t reject the kidney.

However, Sharon doesn’t likely keep her medication at work. If Finn were to grab her at that station, Sharon could fall ill very easily.

Finn knows that Gabi isn’t about to let someone get hurt in her name. Finn...
