“This podcast meant so much to Shannen because it allowed her to tell her story and tell her truth,” she said in the episode, called “Let’s Be Clear… Continues.”

Shannen Doherty’s mother, Rosa, has revealed that she will continue her late daughter’s podcast, Let’s Be Clear, in celebration of Doherty’s legacy.

In the latest episode, released on Thursday, Mama Rosa, as she’s known, was joined by Anne Marie Kortright, who was one of Doherty’s closest friends. The late actress’ mother explained that the podcast meant a lot to Doherty because it allowed her to “tell her story and tell her truth,” clearing up misconceptions about her life.

“It meant so much to me because I got to watch her do this when it was so special for her, and it helped so much in everything that she was going through,” said Mama Rosa. She thanked fans for supporting the podcast and confirmed she will now “try to do my best to continue this” for Doherty, according to the actress’ request before her death.

Nine years into her battle with breast cancer, Shannen Doherty is now struggling through a divorce from her husband of 11 years, Kurt Iswarienko. Doherty, 53, and Iswarienko, 50, married in Malibu, California in October 2011. The couple separated in January 2024 and Doherty filed for divorce three months later. With her husband by her side throughout her cancer battle, Doherty’s rep, Leslie Sloane told People “Divorce is the last thing Shannen wanted.”

Shannen’s Battle With Cancer

Shannen Doherty was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. Doherty had a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery as well as chemotherapy and radiation. She went into remission in 2017, but unfortunately the cancer returned in 2019 and had progressed to stage 4. On a recent episode of her podcast Let’s Be Clear With Shannen Doherty, Shannen stated that “My priority at the moment is my mom. I know it’s going to be hard on her if I pass away before her.

Shannen Doherty, who is suffering from late-stage brain cancer, posted an image on Instagram showing herself standing alongside hairstylist Adir Abergel, artist Laura Sophie Cox and makeup artist Hinako.

She could be seen wearing a white sweater covered in small, oval-shaped cutouts over a white buttoned-down shirt, black stockings and knee-high boots.

The actress’ hair was also parted down the middle, and she is wearing eye makeup and lipstick.
