That Star Wars: The Force Awakens Lego trailer is good fun, but just wait until you see what one YouTube user managed to accomplish just days after the teaser trailer's release. The “Star Wars: Episode VII Trailer - George Lucas’ Special Edition” is all about poking fun at George Lucas and the fact that his frames were “so dense” and that “every single image has so many things going on.” The piece is a pretty brilliant jab at Lucas’ tendency to overdo the visual effects, but it’s also worth noting that this fan-made trailer is a pretty impressive VFX achievement. UTA has signed Star Wars: Episode VII actor Pip Andersen, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned. Andersen landed a role in the highly anticipated J.J. Abrams-helmed sequel after producers auditioned thousands of hopefuls throughout the U.S. and U.K. during open casting calls. Plot and character details remain among the most closely-guarded in Hollywood. Production on Star Wars: Episode VII is well-underway, with director J.J. Abrams working alongside a cast of newcomers and seasoned veterans who first traveled to a galaxy far, far away many years ago. It appeared as though all of the main players in the film had been officially confirmed nearly two months back, with the announcement that Lupita Nyong’o and Gwendoline Christie are part of the Episode VII cast; since then, we’ve gotten confirmation of additional folk, in the shapes of youngsters Crystal Clarke and Pip Andersen, who are presumably members of the film’s supporting ensemble.

No word yet on who she’s playing, but Christina Chong has joined the burgeoning cast of J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode VII. She’s best known for acting opposite Kiefer Sutherland in this summer’s 24: Live Another Day miniseries, and also recently landed the lead female role in the digital series Halo: Nightfall. The actress should be a familiar face to British TV viewers as well, having appeared in Doctor Who, Monroe, Whitechapel and Black Mirror. She’s also had roles in the films W.E. and Legacy.

The latest developments on Jj Abrams' now in production Star Wars: Episode VII are that there are two new faces in the cast, and a bit of a production rejiggle. So let's take that in order.

Crystal Clarke and Pip Anderson are the new cast members. They've both been discovered through the open casting call process that took place last year, where tens of thousands of people tried to nab a role in the new Star Wars movie. The official press release from Lucasfilm didn't give any details on what their roles would be, but it did provide a snap of the pair. So here you go...

Like the rest of the new Star Wars: Episode VII cast members, the most recent additions' (Crystal Clarke and Pip Anderson) roles are being kept under wraps. But, in Anderson's case at least, a very particular skill set he possesses offers a clue to why he was cast, and possibly what type of character he'll be playing. One of the vids below is actually a Spider-Man themed advert for Sony's new Experia mobile phone. Like Ray Park in The Phantom Menace before him, it's very unlikely that Anderson's (spelled AndersEn in those vids) incredible skills won't be put to use in the new film. So which type of characters do we know in the galaxy far far away that would make the best use of some jaw dropping acrobatics? That'd be the Jedi/Sith -- and my money's on Anderson playing another silent villain type in the Darth Maul vein.

Actress Crystal Clarke, a U.K. performer whose debut film The Moon And The Sun is set to be released in 2015, and British actor Pip Andersen, best known for his parkour skills, have been hired by the production in unspecified roles.

Two more actors have joined the cast of J.J. Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII".

In an official announcement, Lucasfilm have confirmed that Pip Anderson and Crystal Clarke have scored roles, the pair were two of the 37,000 or so hopefuls who attended casting calls across eleven cities.

Crystal Clarke is an American actress studying in Glasgow. Her first film, "The Moon and the Sun," opens next year. British actor Pip Anderson is a skilled parkour practitioner and recently shot a Spider-Man advertisement for Sony which you can see below.

Details of their roles are unknown. Filming on the project continues at Pinewood Studios in London ahead of a scheduled two-week production hiatus in August which is due to adjustments following Harrison Ford's leg injury. Shooting remains on track to wrap this fall.

If you’re unfamiliar with the names Pip Anderson and Crystal Clarke, it’s because neither has appeared in a released feature film before. Andersen is a parkour artist, having highlighted this skill set in a Spider-Man ad for Sony and in the first World Freerunning Championships in September of 2008. Clarke, on the other hand, is an American actress studying in Glasgow, who has appeared in stage productions and has a role in the upcoming The Moon and the Sun.
