'Unfriended' TV Spot: Revenge Comes Online
Shelley Hennig in Unfriended (2014)
Producer Jason Blum arrived at WonderCon over the weekend like a rock star, and was swarmed by a throng of fans. His Blumhouse Productions banner has gained a strong reputation as the next big voice in horror, delivering one hit after the next. While we saw the first sneak peeks from the convention center floor for Sinister 2 and Insidious Chapter 3 this past Saturday, we're now getting a TV spot for a completely new thriller experience with Unfriended.

Ushering in a possible new horror franchise, Universal Pictures' Unfriended unfolds over a teenager's computer screen as she and her friends are stalked by an unseen figure who seeks vengeance for a shaming video that led a vicious bully to kill herself a year earlier. After Universal executives saw a test screening of Unfriended terrify a test audience, the studio acquired the thriller that was developed and conceived by visionary filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted,...

Trailer Unfriended Promises Horror Via Skype
Unfriended is the latest found footage horror movie that will try to copy the Paranormal Activity formula of making a microbudget film a box office hit. The film begins when the most popular girl in school Laura Barns commits suicide due to ridicule received over an embarrassing video of her passed out at a party. Following the suicide six classmates have decide to get together to talk with one another via Skype but are illprepared when an uninvited seventh person logs onto Lauras old Skype chat. Lets just hope the entire movie does not happen during a Skype chat. Unfriended is in theaters on April 17th 2015. Directed by Levan Gabriadze written by Nelson Greaves and stars Cal Barnes Matthew Bohrer and Courtney.

New Unfriended Trailer & Poster
“Online, your memories last forever… but so do your mistakes.” The deceptive safety of the screen between teens and the online world is shattered when a malevolent entity crashes a Skype session between six high school friends, forcing them to commit gruesome, self-inflicted acts of violence in front of the computer camera. Going viral gets vicious in Unfriended, as shown in the film’s newly released trailer and poster.

“While video chatting one night, six high school friends receive a Skype message from a classmate who killed herself exactly one year ago. At first they think it’s a prank, but when the girl starts revealing the friends’ darkest secrets, they realize they are dealing with something out of this world, something that wants them dead.”

Directed by Levan Gabriadze off a screenplay by Nelson Greaves and produced by Timur Bekmambetov (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter), Unfriended stars Shelley Hennig, Renee Olstead,...

'Unfriended Trailer': A Killer Stalks Teen Prey Online
Shelley Hennig in Unfriended (2014)
The dangers of social media are extolled in the first scary trailer for Unfriended, which hits theaters this spring from Blumhouse and Universal. The tale unfolds after a teen suicide is the result of a shaming video that goes viral. Universal bought the low budget thriller after watching a test audience become terrified by the horror experience.

While video chatting one night, six high school friends receive a Skype message from a classmate who killed herself exactly one year ago. At first they think it's a prank, but when the girl starts revealing the friends' darkest secrets, they realize they are dealing with something out of this world, something that wants them dead. Told entirely from a young girl's computer desktop, Unfriended redefines 'found footage' for a new generation of teens.

The idea for Unfriended was developed and conceived by filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter), and is directed by Levan Gabriadze.
