Filming on the third season of HBO's Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon is about to begin. We've heard a lot about the show staffing up lately with new actors. The latest is Lucas Aurelio, who's probably best known for playing Paul Suarez in the third season of Bridgerton on Netflix. In that series, Aurelio played an upper crust society type who has a threesome with Lady Tilley Arnold (Hannah New) and Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson). Aurelio also played a minor character named Antony in Netflix's The Witcher. One of the greatest pirate shows of all time will hit Tubi next month. The fan-favorite Black Sails debuted for free on January 18, 2014, on YouTube, several streaming platforms, and video-on-demand services before arriving on Starz a week later.

Steinberg and Robert Levine, the historical action-adventure series is a prequel to Robert Louis Stevenson's iconic 1883 novel Treasure Island. Im more certain than ever that Bridgertons upcoming Benedict story will still end the same way as in the books, but it wont be as easy. The choice to embrace Benedicts sexuality, with Bridgerton season 3s ending seemingly promising to explore his freedom more, was a strong one, but its also complicating things. As almost every Bridgerton book fan will no doubt have thought at the time: where does this all leave Sophie Beckett?

Thats not to say that Netflix's has struggled to tell the right stories, even with changes to the Bridgerton books.

Black Sails includes a blend of historical figures and original characters, but historical accuracy is not its primary objective. The show takes liberties with the deaths of real pirates Charles Vane, Edward "Blackbeard" Teach, Benjamin Hornigold, and the interactions between Charles Vane and Ned Low. Black Sails inaccurately portrays the lives of Anne Bonny and Calico Jack Rackham, including the timeline of their relationship.

Black Sails may tell a fictional story, but many of its characters are based on historical figures, which makes it worth analyzing the historical accuracy of the series. The show is written as a prequel to the famous Robert Louis Stevenson novel, Treasure Island, though it is careful to craft its own version of the characters from the novel. Black Sails also includes historical pirates, distancing itself further from the novel throughout its four-season run.

Bridgerton Season 3 explores two romances and introduces new characters with themes of scientific discovery and nature. The season maintains elements like Queen Charlotte's involvement and gossipy ton members, but diverges with split episodes. The book "The Age of Wonder" complements the season's themes, focusing on Romantic Era explorers and scientists.

After watching Bridgerton season 3, there's one perfect complementary book to read, but it doesn't have a bit of romance at least, not for another person. This season diverges somewhat from previous seasons. For starters, it's the first Bridgerton season to be dropped in two parts, with the season split into episodes of four and four. Bridgerton season 3's story also differs from previous seasons in that it follows not one, but two different romances. While Penelope and Colin's blossoming romance is the main focus, Francesca and John Stirling also see their own romance unfold.

A few common Bridgerton elements didn't change in season 3, however.

When we look at it through a certain lens, Black Sails is a show that is all about power. First and foremost, of course, the series concerns itself with the power of a great story. Its ending, in particular, is entirely dedicated to how art shapes our perception of history and how, when push comes to shove, all we have is a bunch of disjointed tales that may or may not be true and a flag that says a lot more than a few words. Plot-wise, though, Black Sails is also a story about power in the sense that it focuses on who has the power over the island of Nassau. Is it the pirates? The British? The soon-to-be-independent Americans, through the hands of the Guthrie family? Or is it someone else entirely? On a smaller scale, Nassau begins as the property of Eleanor Guthrie (Hannah New), then changed hands...

When we reviewed Trauma Therapy: Psychosis it was mentioned the fillm was a reworked version of The Vance Institute. A was originally shot with the intent of being released in black and white with a few colour scenes. Instead, it was released all in colour.

There was also new footage added featuring Tom Sizemore as the host of The Tom Sizemore Show interviewing Victor, one of the characters from the 2019 film Trauma Therapy. After Sizemore died this made a centrepiece of the film’s publicity as his last film despite there being several more of his films yet to be released.

This was shot and edited in without the participation of the original director, Lawrie Brewster who says he was assured he would have the final cut.

A sequel to the 2019 Trauma Therapy, which I remember as not too bad of a film with a lofty concept but sadly a sloppy execution leaving viewers with a middling taste. A sequel that I don’t think anyone was asking for but here we find ourselves. A sequel marred in a touch of controversy due to unhappy directors, overbearing producers, writers, actors and the untimely demise of the late Tom Sizemore.

Apparently, there are two cuts of this movie out in the wilderness. One with and one without Tom Sizemore and to be honest I can’t see there would be much of a difference considering the insignificance of his screen time. But… it is always nice to see the man on screen.

Trauma Therapy: Psychosis is the last film Tom Sizemore worked on before his passing, where he portrays himself as a talk show host.
