General Hospital Spoilers: Will Michael Grant Willow’s Visitation Plea Following The Disastrous Drew Wedding?
Image
General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) may face Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) visitation plea if her wedding to Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) fails. Michael may have to decide if this desperate mom can see the kids, so let’s talk about this tricky situation.

Michael’s Given Ultimatums In The Past

Gh fans know Michael has given Willow ultimatums in the past regarding Drew. Willow ignored warnings to cut Drew out of her life, so Michael felt he had no choice but to keep her away from the children, too.

However, things could change if Willow decides to cut Drew out of her life after all; Willow still has that chance since she hasn’t officially married Drew yet.

Now that Willow knows about Drew and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) hooking up behind her back, her world has been shaken.

Willow can’t look...

Why Rockmond Dunbar's Michael Grant Left 9-1-1
Image
As seen in many of its best episodes, "9-1-1" thrives on being unexpected. From the get-go, the crime procedural, from co-creators Ryan Murphy, Tim Minear, and Brad Falchuk, has been as much a week-to-week exploration of what it's like to be a first responder to emergencies in Los Angeles as it is about the wild and woolly personal lives of these people. One of the show's stalwart heroes is LAPD officer Athena Grant (played by the majestic Angela Bassett), first glimpsed as the wife of Michael Grant (Rockmond Dunbar) and mother to May and Harry. In the series pilot, as much as Athena is capable and sure-handed when wearing the shield and weapon of an LAPD officer, we learn her personal life is messy when Michael reveals to their kids that while they're married, he's gay. That decision would lead to Athena getting divorced, even though Michael stayed close to the family.

A Genre-Bending Thriller Is Dominating the Hulu Charts: “Some funny super meta moments”
Lucy Hale
I fell in love with Lucy Hale back when she came onto the scene as part of the Pretty Little Liars cast. She never fails to brighten my day. Even when Hale is in a movie that’s decidedly beneath her, I’ll sit through it because she’s almost always an engaging and accessible presence. I think a lot of people have a similar reaction to her output. Case in point: Even though the comedic thriller F*** Marry Kill isn’t widely regarded as a standout effort, the flick now sits as the most-watched title on the Hulu platform. I posit that the picture’s success on the streamer has something to do with Hale’s inherent charm.

In the new thriller:

Thrust into the dating app world by her best friends, true-crime junkie Eva Vaugh suddenly finds herself at the center of a real murder case. As new details come to light,...

Action Is Great, But 9-1-1’s Heart Lives In Its Characters
Image
Yes, 9-1-1 is a procedural, and by the very definition, it is the detailed and realistic treatment of a professional procedure.

There are police procedurals, medical procedurals, legal procedurals, and then there are ones that don’t fit into a cute little box like 9-1-1.

These types of series are typically story-driven, namely cases of the week, and character-driven stories second, but 9-1-1 has never been the typical procedural, and the key to their long-term success has always lain in that convergence of adrenaline, heart-pumping action, and beautifully crafted character stories.

(Disney/Christopher Willard)

When 9-1-1 Season 1 premiered, the hook for many new viewers was the star-studded lineup, which included Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, and Connie Britton, alongside the action.

Early promotion sold a show that would have daring emergencies, and that’s something the series has excelled at over its first eight seasons.

Why Was Harry Grant Recast in 9-1-1?
Image
9-1-1 is packed full of intriguing characters, all of whom work together to create an alluring picture of the Lafd. While the main cast is enough to keep the show flowing at a fast and dynamic pace, it's their family and friends who work to produce a unique and three-dimensional procedural. Thus, not only does this help 9-1-1 to compete against its contemporaries like Chicago Fire and Fire Country, but it also works to place the show in a league of its own.

Harry Grant is a prime example of how secondary characters support their primary counterparts. Though he started on the show as a fresh-faced little boy, his arc has experienced a ton of intense ups and downs. But, long-time fans of the show will notice that he looks a tad different nowadays. So, why was Harry Grant recast, and will it affect his character in the future?...

Why Michael Grant Left 9-1-1, Explained
Image
For the first 5 seasons of ABC's 9-1-1, Rockmond Dunbar played a prominent role as the husband -- and then ex-husband -- of Athena Grant (Angela Bassett). Over time, Athena and Michael, who came out in Season 1, Episode 1, "Pilot," repaired their relationship so that they could co-parent their children, and Michael even built a close friendship with Bobby Nash (Peter Krause) after he and Athena got together. Michael eventually fell in love with a doctor, and it was their relationship that led to Michael's departure in Season 5.

9-1-1, which debuted on Fox in January 2018, quickly became one of television's most popular shows. Set in Los Angeles, 9-1-1 follows the firefighters and paramedics of the Lafd's Firehouse 118 as they work with the LAPD and 9-1-1 dispatch to serve their city. 9-1-1 moved to ABC between seasons 6 and 7, and so far, the move has only been positive for the show,...

A '90s Sci-Fi Series Should've Been Nickelodeon's Darkest
Image
Animorphs was an adaptation of a '90s book series. Nickelodeon had a crack at adapting Animorphs, but to this day remains controversial. Looking back at Nickelodeon's live-action sci-fi series, it questions if it deserves its infamous status.

The late 1990s were an ambitious and strange time for Nickelodeon's lineup, yet Animorphs should've been their darkest live-action show. Nickelodeon wasn't hesitant to explore dark and complex stories, as seen in Invader Zim, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, and Hey Arnold!. Reflecting on shows where aliens harvest organs from children, Gilbert Gottfried dispels morbid curiosity about death, and mental health takes center stage; it's baffling that Nickelodeon's adaptation of Animorphs deviated so radically from its source material. This raises questions about what got lost in translation, the era in which Animorphs aired, and whether the TV adaptation warranted the controversy that continues to haunt the series.

Angela Bassett, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Kenneth Choi, Peter Krause, Aisha Hinds, Oliver Stark, and Ryan Guzman in 9-1-1 (2018)
The Og 9-1-1 continues to dominate ratings and the conversation.

After moving to ABC, the veteran drama returned to form with an action-packed opener and engaging and thought-provoking character-driven hours throughout the season.

9-1-1 has always been known for its emergencies, but the heart of the series has always been with its incredibly diverse cast of characters.

The star-studded ensemble has (mostly) stayed intact throughout the series run, which is almost unheard of in today's TV landscape.

As 9-1-1 Season 8 gets ready to premiere in the fall of 2024, we're looking at the dynamic cast that brings the stories to life and the complex and captivating characters they play.

After 6 Years, 9-1-1 Is Still Afraid To Take A Major Cast Risk
Image
Warning: This article contains spoilers for 9-1-1 season 7, episode 10.

9-1-1 season 7 missed a chance to shake things up with a major cast risk, opting to keep the series on the same path. Bobby's fate in 9-1-1 season 7 finale teased a major death, but the show chose not to take the risk. The reliance on cliffhangers in 9-1-1 undermines the impact of potential character deaths and future storylines.

After seven seasons, 9-1-1 is still afraid to take a cast risk that could take the show in a compelling new direction. Despite a cruise ship disaster as part of 9-1-1 season 7's biggest story, the series soldiered on with its cast intact. The only two series regulars that exited 9-1-1 are Connie Britton's Abby Clark, who moved to Ireland, and Rockmond Dunbar, with Michael Grant moving to Florida, but there have been opportunities for bigger risks.

9-1-1 Cast and Character Guide
Image
9-1-1 began on Fox in 2018 and quickly became a popular show, even spinning off into 9-1-1: Lone Star. Though Fox canceled the show at the end of its sixth season, it was picked up by ABC for Season 7 -- and potentially future seasons. 9-1-1 stars Peter Krause, Angela Bassett, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and an ensemble cast that greatly contributes to its status as one of the most popular procedural shows about first responders.

Created and executive produced by Ryan Murphy, 9-1-1 can sometimes seem outlandish, but that is often what makes audiences enjoy it so much. Over the first six seasons, the firefighters at the 118 and their LAPD and 9-1-1 dispatch colleagues have dealt with everything from a tsunami in Santa Monica to a mudslide that took out part of the Hollywood sign and hackers whose work even has zoo animals out of their cages and wandering downtown Los Angeles.

Is Animorphs Connected to Transformers?
Image
Quick Links What Is Animorphs? The Animorphs TV Series Is a Late 1990s Sci-Fi Classic How Is Animorphs Connected to Transformers? Will Animorphs Get a Reboot?

The Transformers franchise has multiple timelines or "generations," with the first of these being retroactively known as Generation 1. In the 1990s, the franchise maximized into its most animalistic form through the Beast Wars subseries. This eventually became an acclaimed entry in the property, but it also connected Hasbro's toyline to a completely unrelated brand.

Animorphs first took form as a series of science fiction novels for young readers. The popularity of these books morphed into a live-action TV series, which itself had a toy tie-in. Said toys were actually marketed under the Transformers toy brand, despite having nothing to do with the robots in disguise. Now, Animorphs is mostly forgotten beyond nostalgia for the 1990s, but it's irrevocably a part of Hasbro's main plastic moneymaker series.
