Oscar nominated Italian star Giancarlo Giannini has joined James Franco, Bella Thorne and Mike Tyson in the cast of Italian feature Bunny-Man, we can reveal.

Tatiana Luter is also joining the cast on the production, which is due to begin a new phase of filming in Rome next week.

Italian stage and screen veteran Giannini will play Judge Gladwell and Luter his wife Luise. The film tells the story of the double life of a multimillionaire hip-hop artist known as Bunny-Man (his stage name), whose fame and public persona mask a web of pain, revenge, and private justice. His seemingly perfect life is shattered by the tragic suicide of his sister, a consequence of a brutal sexual assault. Hollywood A-lister Al Pacino became the first movie star to meet with Pope Leo Xiv.

The 85-year-old had an audience with the new American pope, elected after the death of Pope Francis, at the Vatican on Monday. According to reports in Italy, Pacino arrived in Rome by private jet from New York City over the weekend.

“We are honored to announce that this morning His Holiness Pope Leo Xiv received in a private audience at the Holy See a delegation from the film Maserati: The Brothers, including Oscar winner actor Al Pacino and the film’s producer Andrea Iervolino,” Iervolino said in a statement given to The Hollywood Reporter.

Al Pacino is racing off to join the cast of Bobby Moresco’s Maserati: The Brothers.

Per intel sent by the producers Thursday in Cannes, the second and “final phase” of filming will start in Rome in June, and the filmmakers are eyeing a fall debut. Maserati: The Brothers chronicles the rise of the Maserati family and their legacy in the world of automotive innovation.

Pacino will portray businessman Vincenzo Vaccaro, a champion of Maserati family and an early investor in the auto dynasty. In the biopic, produced by Andrea Iervolino, Pacino and newly cast actors Gina La Piana and Tatiana Luter join previously announced cast of Anthony Hopkins, Andy Garcia, Jessica Alba, Michele Morrone and Salvatore Esposito.

Nicki Cortese and Wayne Marc Godfrey of Bright White Light are co-financing and executive producing the project.

In a statement, Iervolin said the team is “thrilled” to have Pacino join the cast.

Al Pacino has joined the cast of “Maserati: The Brothers,” the biopic directed by Bobby Moresco about the family behind the high-performance automobiles that, along with Ferrari and Lamborghini, Italy is known for.

Pacino’s cameo in the film was announced by producer Andrea Iervolino. A rep for Pacino did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

In “Maserati” Pacino will be playing businessman Vincenzo Vaccaro, who supported the Maserati family and invested in the early days of the company. Also joining the star-studded film’s cast are Gina La Piana (“Intentional”) and Tatiana Luter (“Rudy Valentino”), according to a Iervolino statement.

Previously announced “Maserati” cast comprises Anthony Hopkins, Andy Garcia, Jessica Abla, Michele Morrone and Salvatore Esposito.

Oscar winner Al Pacino has joined the cast of biographical drama Maserati: The Brothers, featuring Anthony Hopkins, Andy Garcia, Jessica Alba, Michele Morrone and Salvatore Esposito.

Also joining the cast are Gina La Piana and Tatiana Luter while Nicki Cortese and Wayne Marc Godfrey from Bright White Light are aboard to co-finance and executive-produce the project.

Get Enveloped by the Official Poster and Trailer for Surrounded
It's been several months since we've gotten an update on Surrounded from Gabriele Albanesi Productions, but with the European Film Market looming, a new poster and trailer for the film have arrived.

Surrounded is written and directed by Laura Girolami and Federico Patrizi and produced by Gabriele Albanesi (The Last House in the Woods, Ubaldo Terzani Horror Show). It stars Tatiana Luter, Daniel Baldock, and Emanuela Birocchi.

Minerva Pictures will present the film during the Efm in Berlin, which kicks off later this week.

Synopsis:

24 hours in the life of a young teacher (Luter) after her husband, a lawyer (Daniel Baldock), leaves for a business trip... Left alone in her country house completely isolated, she begins to be haunted by invisible and elusive presences, which besiege her more and more with the arrival of night.
