There has been a significant rise in the number of animated series on offer on streaming giant, Netflix, with the prospect of more coming in the future. One of its most exciting offerings in recent times is Blue Eye Samurai, which premiered on the platform in 2023. While attending the Anime Expo 2025, Netflix offered a wide range of insight into several of its animated productions, including Beastars, Record of Ragnarok III, Sakamoto Days, and the aforementioned Blue Eye Samurai. In attendance at the event, albeit via pre-taped interviews, were Amber Noizumi and Michael Green, co-creators of Blue Eye Samurai, and executive producer Jane Wu, previewing the return of the series.
It's exceedingly clear that Netflix's hit animated series Blue Eye Samurai is an ambitious show, and Season 2 will look to push the boundaries established in the first season. The animated series follows Mizu, a half-Japanese, half-white woman who lives in Edo-period Japan.

According to Green and Noizumi, we will see a cut in the total episode count for season 2. Instead of there being eight episodes like in season 1, there will only be six episodes in the second season. However,...

The Shin Megami Tensei games have become some of the world’s biggest and most popular RPG series of all time. Standing alongside the Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy franchises, Shin Megami Tensei has proven itself to be an incredibly successful and long-lasting series, spawning multiple spin-offs, sequels, and cross-media expansions over the years. With three major series to its name with multiple titles attributed to each, plus over 20 spin-off titles, the Shin Megami Tensei series is simply massive.
It would be only natural for the series to enjoy various anime and manga adaptations over the years. Existing across many of the Shin Megami Tensei titles, the many animated films, OVAs, and anime series have all helped to broaden and expand the worlds of their respective games. With so many having been released over the years, it can be easy to overlook a few that may have fallen through the cracks.

“It's groundhog week! Akemi and her office colleagues go through the same work week over and over again. The time loop might be caused by their boss's procrastination and his unfinished manga.”
Ryo Takebayashi's “Mondays: See You “This” Week!” wastes no time diving into its absurd ‘groundhog day' scenario of a group of office workers caught in an infinite loop, placing two staffers as peculiar eccentrics working to convince their co-worker, Akemi, of the perplexing scenario. As each member of the office is brought into the fold of being aware of this repetition, the humor only escalates as they turn their eyes on their boss whose hidden desires may be the catalyst for the cyclical nightmare the workers find themselves trapped in.
