Netflix Posts Solid Q2 Results, Raises Full-Year Revenue Forecast
Image
Netflix topped Wall Street’s second-quarter expectations and raised its full-year forecast for revenue.

Earnings per share of $7.19 beat analysts’ consensus by a dime, while revenue of $11.079 billion exceeded the Street’s outlook by a much narrower margin. The bar for revenue was in the $11.06 billion range according to most surveys of analyst sentiment.

As it rolls out a big second half of 2025 on the programming front, Netflix said it was raising its revenue forecast for 2025. The updated guidance calls for revenue between $44.8 billion and $45.2 billion, up from the previous target of $43.5 billion to $44.5 billion.

“The majority of the increase in our revenue forecast reflects the recent depreciation of the U.S. dollar vs. most other currencies, with the balance attributable to continued business momentum driven by solid member growth and ad sales,” the company said in its quarterly letter to shareholders.

They even make the same slip of tongue in unison. In search of an imaginary land, the Orkneys – where true love is possible – they start digging a tunnel through an entire mountain range.” Fascinating.

According to Deadline‘s exclusive report, Orlando Bloom plays Gareth Mulroney, the sisterly duo’s riotous ex-lover,...

Sebastian Stan Says Actors Won't Discuss 'The Apprentice' for Fear of Donald Trump
Image
Sebastian Stan was highly praised for portraying Donald Trump in the biographical drama, The Apprentice. While the movie did not make a huge splash at the box office, it stirred up a lot of controversy prior to its release, thanks mainly to the former and new president of America. Now Stan has revealed that since Trumps unprecedented election victory, he has found himself being shut out when it comes to being able to speak about the movie even having to cancel an episode of Varietys Actors on Actors series as no one would participate with him.

Speaking at a Q&a after a screening of The Apprentice, Stan joined director Ali Abbasi to talk about the film, and revealed that he has struggled to find people willing to openly discuss the movie and its subject in any way for fear of receiving some kind of blowback for it. Stan said:...

Abbasi has been vocal about his struggle to make the film and score a distributor, encountering networks like ABC and CBS that refuse to air the movie in TV spots. As the 2024 election grows closer, new details about the tough production are being revealed.

‘Boys from County Hell’ Review
Image
Stars: Jack Rowan, Michael Hough, Fra Fee, Robert Nairne, Nigel O’Neill, Louisa Harland | Written and Directed by Chris Baugh

Despite its title Boys from County Hell isn’t another backwoods hicksploitation film. It’s actually an Irish horror comedy that pits a road crew against the Emerald Isle’s own species of bloodsucker. Writer/director Chris Baugh (Bad Day for the Cut) has expanded the short he did with co-writer Brendan Mullin to feature-length, and the results definitely don’t suck.

Eugene (Jack Rowan; Beowulf: Return to the Shieldlands) lives in Six Mile Hill, a rural Irish town where, according to legend, Bram Stoker got the inspiration for Dracula. Eugene and his buddies S.P. and William (Fra Fee; Monochrome) get a bit of amusement scaring tourists who’ve come to see the cairn that marks the grave of Abhartach the legendary bloodsucker who inspired Stoker.

But all is not well in Eugene’s life.
