‘The Willowbrook’ Trailer Invites Influencers for Recovery
Image
From Producer by Jeffrey Reddick, creator of the Final Destination franchise, enter The Willowbrook this November.

In the film…

A renowned wellness influencer invites one of her recently overdosed followers to seek recovery at her small-town manor. Once the follower arrives, she realizes the dark world existing within the manor is not what she–nor millions of others–perceived from the internet. With a gripping and fast-paced tone, this film explores the duplicitous side of social media.

Bloody Disgusting has the exclusive trailer drop for The Willowbrook, written and directed by first-time director Zach Koepp and starring Jessica Bishop, Erin Day, and Lawrence J. Hughes.

It was executive produced by Koepp and Bethe H. Gordon and produced by Jeffrey Reddick, Jessica Bishop, Krista Kolegraff, Aaron Hammersley, and Greg Bekkers. The film is a Rag Tag Pictures Production. The film won the Audience Award for Best Feature Film at Silicon Beach Film Festival.

#MeToo Musical: Weinstein Accuser Louisette Geiss Teams With Songwriter Diane Warren On New Production
Image
The Right Girl, a new musical based on (and co-written by) the real-life story of former screenwriter Louisette Geiss and the sexual harassment by Harvey Weinstein she says ended her film career, will be presented in a film version to a live audience for the first time next month. The production features music by 11-time Oscar nominee Diane Warren and is directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Susan Stroman.

The filmed performance will screen at the Barrington Stage Company in Pittsfield, Massachusetts on Sunday, November 1, the first time the musical will be seen by the public.

Geiss, a former actress who went public several years ago with her account of Weinstein masturbating in front of her while the two met at his Sundance Film Festival office ostensibly to discuss her screenwriting hopes, wrote the book for the new musical with Howard Kagan, and the lyrics with Warren and Kagan.
