Hakan Türksen is a renowned Turkish film producer and actor. Born on November 17 in Istanbul, he began his TV and cinema career in 1993 with the highly popular and long-running TV series 'Süper Baba' on Turkey's largest private channel, ATV. He worked on the show for four years. Over his career, he has made significant contributions as a producer, production coordinator, and production manager on numerous award-winning films. His work in both production and acting has earned him many accolades.
Hakan has been involved in projects that have won the Best Film awards at prestigious festivals like Sundance and Tribeca. He has received over 50 awards for his work in both feature and short films. Hakan served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at SESAM (the Turkish Professional Association of Cinema Owners), a semi official state institution, for six years. He was one of the few leaders who worked without compensation. Currently, he is the Chairman of the Board at SINEGED (the Turkish Cinema Development and Promotion Agency), where he has been contributing to both Turkish and global cinema for the past eight years.
He graduated from the Cinema and Theater Department at Baskent Communication Sciences Academy. To further his skills, he has attended numerous workshops and seminars on film production and directing in major cities in France, the Netherlands, Austria, and the United States. He continues to bring innovations to the global film industry through his work with artificial intelligence (AI).
Hakan has been honored with the "Carriers of Turkish Cinema from Past to Future" award for his contributions to production and the "Golden Angel" award for Producer of the Year. He regularly attends the Cannes Film Festival, Berlin Berlinale, and American Film Market, contributing to both Turkish and global cinema. He has produced nearly 20 films, including "Meleklerin Mucizesi,"( Miracle of the Angel) "Beni de Gotur," and "Green and Leylak." In addition to his production work, his talent in acting also stands out.
