William founded Secret Channel Films (SCF) after working in the film industry for several years as a writer, producer and script editor. SCF is dedicated to making high quality and distinctive independent features with a strong social message.
SCF is has a number of feature film projects slated for 2018-2020. These include Cry Me a River, a dark Euro-style noir thriller set in Norway and the UK starring Sam Hazeldine and directed by Richard Parry (due for release in 2019); The King Of Notting Hill, the explosive true story of British black power leader Michael X; The Emissary, a spy thriller based on the recently discovered diary of the ill-fated lawyer who conducted secret peace negotiations between Chamberlain and Mussolini during the appeasement crisis of the 1930s and Football Kingdom, a darkly compelling satire about corruption in sport.
The company's 2012 short film, Roadkiller, was well received at a number of shorts film festivals. The film stars Phil Davis and Susan Tracy. William was also recently commissioned to re-write a high-concept noir thriller financed in Canada and slated for production next year after initially acting as a script editor on the project.
William trained as a screenwriter with the likes of Syd Field, Robert McKee and Adrian Mead. He frequently attends films festivals around the world including Cannes, Berlin, the AFM and TIFF. William is also an experienced script consultant, having collaborated with the likes of Euroscript, the NPA and several independent film producers.
