Betty White’s career spanned nearly seven decades, and while she is likely most well-known for her role as Rose in The Golden Girls, the five-time Emmy Award-winning actor stole the show in this 1999 creature feature. Now, 26 years later, Lake Placid, starring Bill Pullman, Bridget Fonda, and Oliver Platt, along with White, is becoming a sleeper hit on streaming.
Per FlixPatrol, Lake Placid is now the No. 7 most-streamed movie on AMC+ as of July 13. The movie from director Steve Miner and writer David E. Kelley is up from the No. 10 spot, which it held on July 5. The movie is ahead of Dark Winds, The Last Anniversary, and Ash, which hold the No. 8, 9, and 10 spots, respectively.
Lake Placid, billed as a dark comedy horror film, also stars Brendan Gleeson as Sheriff Hank Keogh, who, while waiting in a boat on Black Lake in Maine, his colleague and wildlife officer, goes scuba diving.

Scarlett Johansson has nothing but love for her Jurassic World Rebirth co-star Jonathan Bailey.
Throughout the press tour for their upcoming feature in the latest Jurassic Park sequel, the two actors have shared a few smooches on the red carpet. In particular, Johansson and Bailey locked lips at the film’s London premiere on June 17 and its New York City premiere on Monday.
To put it lightly, photos of the two kisses swiftly went viral, which led Today host Craig Melvin to bring up the topic during Wednesday’s episode, noting that “he’s just so attractive.” The Eleanor the Great director agreed and defended their platonic kiss, responding, “Yeah, you said it.”
“He’s a lovable guy, what can I say?” Johansson quipped. “I don’t know, we’re friendly people.”

Victor Webster has played action heroes, sci-fi bad boys, and even dabbled in stockbroking, but he’s never looked more at home than he does in Hallmark’s cozy world of sleuthing and sweet treats.
Returning as Chad Norton in Pie to Die For: A Hannah Swensen Mystery, Victor brings heart, humor, and a slow-burn charm that’s made fans root for his character’s blossoming romance with Hannah.
We had a chance to sit down with him on Zoom to chat about it.

The stars — and even one of the dinosaurs — of “Jurassic World Rebirth” hit a very green carpet in central London on Tuesday for the film’s world premiere.
Alongside director Gareth Edwards, Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey (no stranger to green carpets thanks to “Wicked”), Rupert Friend and Ed Skrein were in attendance at the Odeon Luxe cinema in Leicester Square. Also at the premiere was the film’s writer David Koepp, who penned the original franchise-launching “Jurassic Park,” producer Frank Marshall, plus composer Alexandre Desplat and Universal’s Donna Langley and Peter Cramer. Meanwhile, a tiny animatronic dinosaur — who appears in the film (and is named Delores by one of the younger characters) — posed for photos alongside her handler.
Speaking from the carpet, Johansson — wearing a figure-hugging pink dress — said “Rebirth” took the franchise back to its roots, noting Koepp’s involvement and Edwards being an “enormous fan” of Steven Spielberg.

In recent years, many films and TV shows have been rebooted or revived, with many proving unsuccessful. However, Tim Burton's Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was a delightful exception.
Over 30 years after the original Beetlejuice, starring Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O'Hara, premiered in 1988, the actors reprized their roles as Beetlejuice, Lydia Deetz, and Delia Deetz, in the 2024 sequel. The film was a massive hit, and after the critical and commercial success of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, its long string of achievements continues with the film becoming a hit on Netflix. Shortly after its release on the streaming service, it's already up in the charts, per Tudum.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice premiered on Netflix on May 6, and it didn't need a lot to make an impression. For the week between May 5 and May 11, Tim Burton's highly anticipated sequel debuted in 10th place globally with 3.4 million views and 6 million hours viewed.

Beetlejuice…Beetlejuice….we won't say his name three times for the easily frightened, but this beloved Tim Burton horror-comedy franchise has been resurrected in a major way. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the long-awaited legacy sequel, killed it in theaters last year. With that success, the film unleashed a whole Neitherworld of merchandise. This included apparel collections, action figures, 4K editions of both films, and Funko Pops. Now Funko has returned with their latest Bitty Pop based on Beetlejuice.
Their New Bitty Pop Town set is Dantes Inferno Room, which briefly made an appearance in the original 1988 classic. This comes with a Bitty-sized version of the adult location and Michael Keaton's Ghost With the Most. Everyone's favorite bio-exorcist is seen in his tattered graveyard outfit. Even though this is such a small figure, Beetlejuice comes with a lot of great detail, like the spikes that are protruding through his body. This set...

Lake Eden, Minnesota appears as a picturesque setting where everyday life takes an unexpected turn. The movie follows Hannah Swensen, whose expertise as a baker unexpectedly puts her at the heart of unforeseen events. As she prepares for a live cooking show in her very own bakery, a shocking occurrence during filming alters the rhythm of her day. A murder on set sparks a parallel series of incidents, as local incidents of theft begin to disrupt the community. This dual storyline presents a lively mix of domestic comfort and sudden disorder.
The film employs a storytelling style that marries the familiar rhythms of daily baking with the tension of a crime investigation. Moments of routine and culinary delight are interspersed with scenes of investigation that catch the viewer off guard.

Following the success of Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice (1988), as the film turned into a pop culture phenomenon, the filmmaker returned with its highly anticipated sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, in 2024. Following up on the first film’s events, thirty-six years later, the sequel became just as popular as the original.

Perhaps the 2024 movie earned global success because of the Og characters’ return, including Betelgeuse (Michael Keaton), Lydia Deetz (Winona Ryder), and Delia Deetz (Catherine O’Hara). But most importantly, as the sequel brought back Betelgeuse, the age of the mysterious character became a hot topic. So, let’s explore how old Betelgeuse is in both films.
How old is Betelgeuse in Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice (1988)?
First things first—Michael Keaton’s Betelgeuse isn’t your typical ghost. He doesn’t just haunt places—he haunts people, dreams, and even the rules of the afterlife.

The following contains spoilers for Bubble & Squeak, currently screening at Sundance Film Festival 2025.
In the independent film scene, the Sundance Film Festival is one of a kind, as many smaller franchises get picked up here. That's not to say it doesn't have big names in properties being shopped around to larger studios. One such example is Dave Franco and Alison Brie's Together being bought by Neon. There is another movie that's flying under the radar, with some popular faces as well: Bubble & Squeak.
The movie focuses on Himesh Patel's Declan and Sarah Goldberg's Delores, two Americans who fly into a fictional European country for a honeymoon. “Bubble & Squeak” (2025) is an absurd marriage drama that puts companionship under a microscopic lens. It does that in a script filled with outlandish elements that seem straight out of a children’s book. Imagine a kid letting their imagination run wild and writing down every idea that popped into their head the moment it did. That’s how a lot of its gags sound. The film shows a European officer (Matt Berry) offering his unmistakable Werner Herzog impression and expecting his subordinates to speak only in English as they walk through the forest, looking for a couple accused of smuggling cabbages in a country where they are illegal.
The couple in question, Declan (Himesh Patel) and Delores (Sarah Goldberg) is an oddball duo. Declan is thoroughly analytical and looks at things so clinically that he sucks the life out of them. Delores is full of life and a sense of wonder.

In Evan Twohy’s twee debut feature Bubble & Squeak, a couple gets detained by police while honeymooning in an unnamed country. We meet Declan (Himesh Patel) and Delores (Sarah Goldberg) in an ascetic holding area, anxiously awaiting their interrogation. When Bkofl, an attending officer played by Steven Yeun (also a producer on the film), walks into the room, he, with humorous solemnity, asks the couple if they are smuggling cabbages into this vaguely Slavic-coded province.
It’s a strange but grave accusation. This tiny country has a charged relationship with cabbages, which were forced upon its people during a long, abstract war. The vegetable is now illegal and most of the population abhors it. Declan and Delores deny the claim. These American honeymooners know better than to sneak in contraband. Odd, then, that the room smells like cabbage and even more curious that the couple, the moment they are left unattended,...

Suspending your disbelief is a requirement for viewing “Bubble & Squeak,” writer-director Evan Twohy’s directorial debut. A couple honeymooning in a country that bans cabbage doesn’t exactly scream romance — and there is none here. Because before Declan and Delores can even begin celebrating their nuptials — the culmination of a long courtship where they felt more compelled to buy a house together than to say “I do”— they are detained in customs.
When an agent informs them of their crime of smuggling contraband cabbage into the country, Declan is flabbergasted; he cannot fathom why anyone would put cabbage in their pants to go on vacation. The problem, however, is that Delores has done just that.
Cabbage, it turns out, is banned in this unnamed Slavic country because of its critical role in the nation’s collective trauma. Smuggling it carries a hefty price: large sums of money, dismemberment and maybe even death.

“We should have gone to Bora Bora like the Pattersons,” says Delores (Sarah Goldberg) in Bubble & Squeak, writer-director Evan Twohy’s feature debut. A quirky, prescriptively surreal comedy in the vein of the late Jeff Baena, with a hefty debt to the two Sacha Baron Cohen Borat movies, it’s a very Sundance kind of funny that goes all in on a very bizarre premise. If you go with it, it will take you all the way, but for those with a low tolerance for cheerfully madcap bonkersness, its lean 97 minutes may well seem like an eternity.
The pre-credit sequence very quickly sets the scene. Delores and her husband Declan (Himesh Patel) are sitting in a nondescript, steely-gray office room, where they have been waiting for well over an hour. The two Americans are on honeymoon, preferring to go “off the beaten track,” and their wanderlust has taken them to a strange,...

It starts intriguingly enough: An American couple (Himesh Patel and Sarah Goldberg) wait anxiously in a dowdy customs office in an unnamed Slavic country. They’ve just arrived for their honeymoon — Declan (Patel), we’re told, wanted the pair to enjoy a vacation somewhere “off the beaten path” and economical, Delores (Goldberg) doesn’t seem to have much pull in the matter — and are being held in official custody, believed to have already violated one of the major laws of their destination by smuggling in contraband. The law in question is beyond silly (this seems to be the bulk of the gag at hand), but filmmaker Evan Twohy’s concept for his debut film “Bubble & Squeak” is original enough to engender plenty of audience goodwill and patience, at least at first.
It’s about cabbages. Again: cabbages. And get ready to hear the word “cabbages” innumerable times over the film’s 95 minute running time.

‘Bubble & Squeak’ Review: Cabbages Are Banned in Quirky Sundance Comedy, but the Laughs Shouldn’t Be
How many times can the characters say “cabbages” in a movie before making you want to throw cabbages at the screen? With “Bubble & Squeak,” writer-director Evan Twohy sets out to answer that question — and little else of relevance to contemporary audiences. Not all movies need to serve up profound insights into the human condition, but the ones that don’t should at least be entertaining, and Twohy’s particular strain of absurdism is not just contrived, but deeply unfunny.
Set in a small, unnamed Slavic nation (most of which appears to have been shot in Estonia), “Bubble & Squeak” begins with a silly premise, with the interrogation (by an eccentrically disfigured Steven Yeun) of a newlywed American couple accused of smuggling cabbages into a country where the vegetables are expressly forbidden. The husband and wife are Declan (“Yesterday” star Himesh Patel) and Delores (Sarah Goldberg of “Barry” fame), a...

2024 was a great year for movie fans, delivering a combination of instant classics, blockbuster hits, and well-received sequels, from Nosferatu and Longlegs to Twisters and Alien: Romulus. While some of the year's best movies weren't blockbuster hits, others crossed box office records, delivering fan service and entertainment for various fan bases. The year has been perfect for large franchises.
Although not a surprise, 2024 marks a rarity for Hollywood as a year when all of the US' ten highest-grossing movies are sequels, without exception. From long-awaited superhero team-ups to continuations of iconic family animated movies, the year has raked in billions for major studios, affirming the industry's focus on major franchises. Financial success is no guarantee of quality one way or the other, but the year has produced plenty of successful and entertaining films.

In another distinctive year for movies, 2024 featured many actors in Hollywood getting very booked and busy. It is typical for an actor to have one or two projects for them to stand out in the year, yet some actors go beyond and star in three or more movies. Because 2024 became crowded with new cinematic features, most viewers didn't realize they saw one actor multiple times.
These actors in 2024 showcased more of their range. They could transition from a spectacular blockbuster to a more character-driven drama or even an animated feature. Acting veterans like Willem Dafoe and Giancarlo Esposito and continuously rising stars such as Margaret Qualley and Fred Hechinger are just a few of several performers who worked extra hard during this particular year.

I must commend Tyler Perry. Out of the many films about World War II, he chose one so foreign to most of us that it almost seems entirely unbelievable. Perry’s latest feature isn’t a hoopla of major battles and violent sequences. It tells the untold story about the U.S. Army’s 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, another history lesson that's been buried long enough. The Six Triple Eight is about the first and only Women’s Army Corp unit of color that served overseas in Europe in WWII, a tale long overdue even if it is extremely rough to get through.
The Six Triple Eight is a documentary released in 2019 that chronicles the experiences of the 6888 Central Postal Directory Battalion, an all-black female unit in World War II. It highlights their mission to clear mail backlogs in Europe while overcoming racism, sexism, and the challenges of wartime.

The world of Beetlejuice is packed with colorful and interesting characters, but there’s one who was introduced in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice who would make for an amazing spinoff that I would totally watch. Tim Burton surprised its audience with a sequel to his 1988 hit Beetlejuice, over thirty years after the first movie’s release. Appropriately titled Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the movie reunites viewers with Lydia (Winona Ryder) and Delia Deetz (Catherine O’Hara), who return to Winter River with Lydia’s partner, Rory (Justin Theroux), and her estranged daughter, Astrid (Jenna Ortega), after Charles Deetz’s death.
Back in Winter River, Astrid is tricked and taken into the Neitherworld, so Lydia has no choice but to summon Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton) for help. The bio-exorcist agrees to help her, but at a big price, while also hiding from his vengeful ex-wife, Delores (Monica Bellucci). In a recent interview, Dolores Catania opened up about her friendship with Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga, but was she honest?
The Real Housewives of New Jersey viewers call out the brunette beauty as she continues playing Switzerland among the feuding sisters-in-law.
Dolores said the Og has no issues with her being close to Melissa since she was friends with both before their fallout.
She also made a statement that had Rhonj fans looking at her sideways—claiming the mom of four doesn’t tell anyone who to be friends with.
Rhonj fans quickly responded to Dolores’ remark, bluntly telling her, “We don’t believe you.”
Viewers are convinced that Dolores is afraid of the Og, but she’s obviously not scared enough to sever ties with Melissa, whether Teresa likes it or not!

Though Beetlejuice Beetlejuice continues to delve into the history of the bio-exorcist, it doesn’t address his relationship with a character from the first movie. The sequel establishes the ghost with the most has been dead for longer than six centuries, heightening the mystery behind his Neitherworld career. Reviews for Beetlejuice 2 demonstrate a renewed interest in delving into the infamous character, even if the sequel chooses to explore only a snippet of his living story instead of his already confirmed more interesting past as a rogue ghost.
Joining Beetlejuice 2’s new cast of characters, Delores solves the enigma of Betelgeuse’s first wife, however, his key experience as an assistant in the Neitherworld remains untold. As the Beetlejuice 2 ending leaves the door open for a third movie, hopes are that this will finally explore that side of Michael Keaton’s popular role. Chances seem small, considering that,...

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is a fitting reunion with the title bio-exorcist, but its ending raises many questions as part of it is a dream, but the rest is real. Tim Burton isn’t a filmmaker known for making sequels to his works, so it was a pleasant surprise when he announced a sequel to Beetlejuice, with him returning as director. Set over 30 years after the events of the first movie, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice reunites the audience with Lydia (Winona Ryder) and Delia Deetz (Catherine O’Hara), who return to Winter River after Charles Deetz’s death.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice takes Lydia Deetz (Winona Ryder) and the title character (played by Michael Keaton) on a new adventure through the afterlife and the world of the living, but it copies many things from the first movie. Tim Burton isn’t a filmmaker known for making sequels to his movies, so it was a huge but pleasant surprise when he returned to direct Beetlejuice Beetlejuice 36 years after the release of the first movie. Back in 1988, Burton introduced the world to chaotic bio-exorcist Beetlejuice, teenager Lydia Deetz, and Adam (Alec Baldwin) and Barbara Maitland (Geena Davis), who die but don’t cross over.
When the Deetzes move into the Maitlands’ home in Winter River, the Maitlands do what they can to scare them out of the house but fail – however, they bond with Lydia, the only one who can see them. The Maitlands summon Beetlejuice for help, but he only unleashes...

From Tim Burton’s hidden cameo to the secrets of Delores’ resurrection, these behind-the-scenes details from the making of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice make the sequel even more impressive. Beetlejuice 2 is one of the most satisfying legacy sequels in recent memory. Michael Keaton slips effortlessly back into the role of Betelgeuse, Jenna Ortega makes for a compelling new lead who recaptures what made Lydia Deetz so iconic, and Burton’s use of old-school practical effects is refreshing in the age of CGI. But the wild stories about how the sequel came to be make it even better.
Charles Deetz’s shocking stop-motion death scene was based on a typically eccentric personal confession from Burton. One of the actors in the Beetlejuice 2 cast was so hilarious that they kept making one of their co-stars crack up and break character. The now-iconic “MacArthur Park” dance sequence at the sequel’s climax almost...

The 2024 hit is a legacy sequel to the 1988 horror-comedy and reteams original director Tim Burton with stars Winona Ryder, Catherine O'Hara, and Michael Keaton alongside an incoming cast that includes Burton's Wednesday collaborator Jenna Ortega. An unsolved mystery from its predecessor resurfaced in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and once again, no answer was apparent. Bio-exorcist Betelgeuse (Michael Keaton) reprises his favorite role of haunting Lydia Deetz (Winona Ryder). Only now, she is a mother herself to angsty teen Astrid (Jenna Ortega). The Deetzs family might have thought Betelgeuse was dead and buried at the end of the original 1988 Beetlejuice film. Not only is he back, he has the same goal of making Lydia his eternal bride. Betelgeuse will do anything to make his dream come true, no matter how deadly.
Betelgeuse is not the most patient groom-to-be, however. In both movies, Betelgeuse makes minor characters disappear, seemingly to their deaths after slight annoyances. But it is not clear if they actually died at first. Even though it appeared Betelgeuse killed two dinner guests in the original movie after he sent them flying through the ceiling, Beetlejuice 2...

Tim Burton fantastically expands the afterlife throughout Beetlejuice Beetlejuice with a variety of new characters, some of whom he didnt even get to properly introduce. While half the movie is spent in the world of the living as Beetlejuices Deetz family reunites to grieve the death of Lydias father Charles, the other half takes place in the spooky, nonsensical realm of the afterlife. In the 1988 movie, the afterlifes representation was largely confined to the Neitherworld waiting room, Junos office, and the hallway to the lost souls room, but Beetlejuice 2 dives much deeper into this worlds lore.
Some of the new afterlife characters introduced in Beetlejuice 2 include B-movie actor-turned-detective Wolf Jackson, the call center office full of Shrinkers, Betelgeuses ex-wife Delores, and Astrids father Richard, who works in the immigration department. Still, there are plenty of departments, aspects, and figures in the afterlife realm that have yet to be explored,...

Michael Keaton Had No Idea About His Beetlejuice Cameo! Here’s How It Happened! ( Photo Credit – YouTube )
The gothic fever dream brought us by Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice was weirdly the most beautiful movie ever. Michael Keaton’s portrayal of Beetlejuice, the “ghost with the most,” wasn’t just about the ghost. He played a chaotically endearing con artist with a taste for the bizarre, topped with green hair and sporting that iconic sneer. No wonder his return was evident for the long-awaited sequel.

Warning: Spoilers ahead for Beetlejuice 2!Beetlejuice 2 seemingly left the fates of Delores and Rory a mystery after a sandworm eats the duo, but that's not actually the case. Before Betelgeuse is sent back to the afterlife in Beetlejuice 2's ending, the "ghost with the most" helps defeat his vengeful ex-wife, Delores, and Lydia's manipulator, Rory. Lydia is supposed to marry Rory, who has been exploiting her and her ability to communicate with the dead since the pair met. Though Betelgeuse assists in ending that potential marriage, the wedding between him and Lydia is stalled when Delores arrives.

Bob's tragic fate in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was already upsetting, but the new behind-the-scenes extra that includes Bob's voice makes his story so much worse. Among the star-studded cast of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Bob is one of the most strangely lovable characters. Despite being a new addition and having very little screen time, Bob's shy loyalty to Betelgeuse made him an immediate favorite to audiences. Of course, this made it all the more disappointing when Delores sucked out Bob's soul. However, the tragedy of Bob apparently didn't end with Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
Following the success of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, audiences recently received some behind-the-scenes footage and commentary surrounding the movie. Tim Burton returned with the long-awaited sequel to 1988's Beetlejuice this year. Several original stars, including Michael Keaton, returned to reprise their roles, and it included several exciting cameos.
Michael Keaton revealed in an interview with Forbes that he didn't know about a secret cameo Tim Burton had planned for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. The film stars Keaton, who reunited with Winona Ryder and Catherine O'Hara. It also added Jenna Ortega, Monica Bellucci, Justin Theroux, and Willem Dafoe. However, Danny DeVito had an unexpected cameo, and Burton didn't tell Keaton about it.

A lot of interest has gone into explaining how Tim Burton created Delores' resurrection scene in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. In the legacy sequel's special feature, "The Handbook for the Recently Deceased," the Dumbo director and his crew break down how the Frankenstein-esque scene came to life. Director Tim Burton is no stranger to the use of special effects, having created unique worlds with the help of VFX in Disney's Alice in Wonderland as well as standing out for his dark, but appealing, stop-motion projects Corpse Bride and Frankenweenie.
Discussing the long-time coming sequel over the years, Burton decided it would not only need to feature the return of Beetlejuice's legacy cast of characters, but it would also need to bring back the handmade quality that gave the original its "spirit." From Keaton's Betelgeuse transformation, the shrunken-heads room, the sandworm, to dead people in the waiting room, Burton's demonstrated...

Though Beetlejuice Beetlejuice doesnt exist without Michael Keatons titular character, Tim Burton makes a great point about why Jenna Ortegas Astrid is the anchor of the sequel. When the long-awaited sequel to the 1988 horror-comedy was officially announced, the initial appeal was the confirmation of Tim Burton back in the directors chair and Beetlejuice 2s returning cast members Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine OHara. The returns of Betelgeuse and the Deetz family reiterated which figures were the true emotional crux of the franchise, but one more piece was still required to complete the puzzle for a compelling story.
Thankfully, Burton noted in his directors commentary that he wouldnt have done the sequel had Keaton, Ryder, and OHara not all agreed to come back. However, the returning cast members and Burton have agreed on the new addition to Beetlejuice 2s Deetz family story that gives the sequel its necessary heart and...

I was happy to see Michael Keaton's Betelgeuse back and better than ever in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, yet I can't get over the fact that the demon willingly sacrificed my favorite character. Released in September 2024, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice throws audiences right back into the wacky world of Winter River and the afterlife that lurks underneath it. Not only do we see the return of the original Beetlejuice cast members, but we also meet new characters like Astrid and Delores. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice provides the same silly dark humor of the first movie, but it also expands on its world in interesting ways.
One of my favorite additions to Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was Bob. Compared to the other new characters introduced in the movie, Bob does very little, yet he makes a big impact on me because of his sweet demeanor. In an afterlife where everything is scary and unexpected, Bob defies the odds...

Imagine starring in a movie with Danny DeVito, and not even realizing it. Well, that's what happened to Michael Keaton when he made his triumphant return for Tim Burton's Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Keaton reprized the role of Betelgeuse after almost 40 years, returning to terrify the Deetz family once again. But this time, his ex-wife Delores (Monica Bellucci) was hunting him. To set the stage for how terrifying the new villain is, Dolores approaches a random janitor in the afterlife, lifting him in the air with one hand and stealing his soul. That poor, blue-faced janitor was none other than It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Batman Returns star Danny DeVito. Promoting his new movie Goodrich, Michael Keaton told Forbes:
"I didnt know he was in Beetlejuice [Beetlejuice]."
While Keaton and Danny DeVito don't share any screen time, you'd think the two Tim Burton veterans would know they were appearing in the same,...

Michael Keaton has revealed that he didn't know anything about a particular Beetlejuice Beetlejuice cameo, which surprised him while watching it for the first time. The latest entry in the horror-comedy franchise includes a storyline where the titular Betelgeuse (Keaton) is trying to escape the wrath of his ex-wife, Delores (Monica Bellucci), who puts her chopped-up body back together at the start of the film. Aside from her, the new cast of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice also includes a cameo from Danny DeVito, who portrays an afterlife janitor whose soul gets eaten by the new antagonist.
Speaking with Forbes about his upcoming movie Goodrich, Keaton revealed that director Tim Burton never told him anything about DeVito's Beetlejuice Beetlejuice cameo, surprising him the first time he watched the movie. The actor explained how he didn't recognize him immediately, but after a minute or so of watching him onscreen, it finally clicked for him who it was.
