The “Screenlife” movie has become a bona fide subgenre here in the horror world, with films including Searching, Missing, and Unfriended paving the way for other movies that uniquely play out their stories entirely on computer screens. Timur Bekmambetov is the producer of all of the above, and he’s launched a new initiative to foster new talents in the screenlife space.
Deadline reports this week that Bekmambetov has created the Black List-style “Screenlifer” platform, which will “identify, support, and promote screenlife content from emerging filmmakers, and give it exposure to both audiences and industry professionals.”
“Projects that meet the platform’s standards will receive a Black List-style mark of distinction, signifying their alumni status, which Bekmambetov believes will enhance their industry credibility,” Deadline adds. “The best concepts will be published on the project’s website.”

Exclusive: L.A.-based screenlife movie pioneer Timur Bekmambetov is launching a new platform supporting projects using the format in which all the action takes place on a computer, tablet or smartphone screen.
Bannered Screenlifer, the initiative is modeled on the successful The Black List, which has helped bring some 450 unproduced screenplays to the big screen since its creation in 2005.
Russian-Kazakh director Bekmambetov, who is currently in post-production on his new movie Mercy with Chris Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson for Amazon MGM Studios, put the screenlife format on the cinematic map with hits including Unfriended, Searching, and Missing.
His ambition for the new Screenlifer platform is to scale screenlife film production globally. The new ecosystem will identify, support, and promoting screenlife content from emerging filmmakers, and give it exposure to both audiences and industry professionals.

Meghan Markle appeared in different shows before marrying Prince Harry. MEGA90210MEGA
Before she married Prince Harry, Meghan Markle made a shocking appearance on the pilot episode of 90210. She played the role of Wendy, the woman who was caught orally stimulating Dustin Milligan's Ethan in his parked car at their school.
Meghan's name did not appear in the credits, as the show simply referred to her as "hot girl."
The scene resurfaced several times after she became a royal, with the public calling her out over the Nsfw scene in the CW's teen drama.
"Meghan was hesitant to shoot the scene, but struggling actresses can’t be picky," Finding Freedom authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand said.

A veritable army of Disney Channel stars are reuniting for a very un-Disney project.
Matthew Scott Montgomery (“So Random!”), Debby Ryan, Alyson Stoner, Kevin Chamberlin (“Jessie”), Tim Bagley, Shayne Topp (“So Random!”) and Damien Haas (“So Random!”) have all signed on to appear in an upcoming LGBTQ+ horror thriller directed by Allisyn Snyder.
Titled “Howdy, Neighbor!,” the upcoming film is written by Montgomery, and is formatted as a “screenlife” film, with all of the footage occurring on computer screens. Montgomery stars as Benjamin, a young queer millenial actor living in West Hollywood who was once a famous child actor. When a new neighbor Chase (Grant Jordan) moves across the hall and reveals himself as a fan, Benjamin begins investigating the oddly familiar man with his best friend Harley (Ryan). Aside from the former Disney Channel stars, the supporting cast also includes Sterling Sulieman, Adam Faison, Greer Grammer and Kimmy Shields.
