Serhat Teoman is a Turkish theater, cinema, and TV actor.
Teoman was born in the Southeastern region of Turkey, in the city of Diyarbakir, in 1983. His first experience with theater was in the beginning of the year 2000. Teoman majored in acting at the Dokuz Eylul University in Izmir, and then moved to Istanbul and got his masters degree on theater, at the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. While studying, he got a part in the play 'Dalga (Wave)', produced by 'Donkisot Tiyatro'. This play was awarded with the 'New Generations in Theater' award at the 'Afife Jale Theater Awards', and with the 'Ensemble' award at the '8th Lions Theater Awards', in 2008.
Stepping foot into the world of TV shows with 'Kursun Yarasi', Teoman appeared in many other series such as;,'Yalanci Yarim', 'Yemin', 'Hepimiz Birimiz Için', 'Uygun Adim Ask' and 'Bitmeyen Sarki'. Alongisde TV projects, he continued working on stage plays at 'Tiyatro Kutu', which he formed with friends; Bugra Gulsoy, Fatih Sonmez, and Emre Erkan. 'Caesar Bir Denge Oyunu (Caesar: A Balance Game)', and 'Dorian Grey' are two of the plays he has taken part in.
Serhat Teoman gained wider fame and recognition with his role of 'Burak Çatalcali', in the 2012 TV show, 'Kuzey Guney'. In the meantime, as 'Tiyatro Kutu' shut down, Teoman formed 'GET Productions' with partners Bugra Gulsoy and Emre Erkan, and put out 'Pragma' - a play that got a lot of attention and sold out for a whole season. After a short break, he portrayed the character of 'Savas Ataman', in the TV show, 'Bugunun Saraylisi', which gained Teoman more recognition as a drama actor. He later went on to act in the comedy series, 'Acil Ask Araniyor', in which his performance was highly praised. Teoman currently continues to give life to the character of 'Sinan Demir', in the hit TV show, 'Anne (Mother)', in which he shares the lead with Vahide Perçin and Cansu Dere.
Teoman is also working on cinema projects with 'GET Productions'. His first feature-length film, 'Mahalle 36', which he co-wrote and co-directed with Bugra Gulsoy, and also acted in, made its world premiere at the '36th Istanbul Film Festival - Golden Tulip National'.
