Ecologist, bear specialist, author, filmmaker, presenter and TV host Chris Morgan is no stranger to adventure. He has spent over 20 years immersing himself among the wildlife of the world. His research and education work focuses on the interface between humans and wildlife - especially carnivores. Chris's engaging and authentic personality has led to hosting Emmy-nominated, award-winning TV productions for PBS, National Geographic Television, BBC, Discovery Channel, and an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman. He is a familiar voice of the world-renowned television series PBS NATURE having narrated 15 films since 2011, and has twice been awarded "Best Host" for his work.
Chris is the host and co-creator of 'THE WILD with Chris Morgan', a podcast that transports people back to nature through exquisite storytelling about wildlife, conservation, and the wonders of our wild planet. Within it's first year, the podcast hit the top 1% of all podcasts and has become a hub for Chris's storytelling through audio and film....all part of his mission to reconnect people with nature, so they fall in love with it, and want to protect it.
Morgan's broader mission is to do his part to reverse the trend of nature deficit disorder and turn conservation into a social norm. He has an acute sense of the power of media to bring hearts, minds, and resources towards conservation. With this purpose, Chris co-founded Wildlife Media - a non-profit conservation organization that oversees 'BEARTREK', a global campaign and film for bear conservation. 'BEARTREK' is Morgan's unique approach to raising awareness and funding for conservation through a project that includes a documentary film, a campaign, and a social media movement, changing hearts and minds along the way.
Chris is also co-founder of the acclaimed Grizzly Bear Outreach Project, now called Western Wildlife Outreach, which has been praised as a model for effective education outreach and has taken great steps to engage rural communities in grizzly, black bear, cougar, and wolf information dissemination since 2002. He has been honored as an Outstanding Environmental Educator Of The Year, and his contributions to grizzly bear conservation in the USA were recognized with an award from the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee, a governmental panel responsible for recovery of the great bear.
As a public speaker and presenter, Morgan has transported thousands of people to the wildest places on earth through his world-class live presentations - all told through stunning photographs and film clips.
