The biopic based on the life of prominent human rights activist, Jaswant Singh Khalra has been subjected to delays owing to the clearance for the censor certificate. The makers of the film moved the Bombay High Court and asked for legal intervention.
The yet-to-be-titled film, which is directed by Honey Trehan, and headlined by actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh, has hit the roadblock and the makers have sought legal help from the court.
Following Operation Blue Star, the assassination of Indira Gandhi, and the 1984 Anti-Sikh Riots, the police were empowered to detain anyone as suspected terrorists. The police were accused of killing unarmed suspects in staged shootouts, and burning thousands of dead bodies to cover up the murders.
Jaswant Singh Khalra was the director of a bank in Amritsar during the militancy period in Punjab. He found the evidence of abduction, elimination and cremation of thousands of unidentified bodies by the police.

Pune, Feb 24 (Ians) Services Sports Control Board (Sscb) ruled the waters at the Army Rowing Node, Cme, but it was 22-year-old Navy-man Satnam Singh who prevented them from sweeping stakes in the 40th Senior National Rowing Championships 2023, on Friday.
Services at the end of the day bagged all but one of the eight titles up for grabs in the men’s section, which included the Para Men’s Single Sculls, which was decided on Thursday.
The face-off between the Army Sports Control Board (Ascb) and Services turned out in favour of the latter in the five events that both lined up for. As a result, the Coxed Eights, Quadruple Sculls, Coxless Fours, Double Sculls, and Lightweight Double Sculls events saw a Service-Army end at the finish line.
The day also saw a huge result in the Men’s Single Sculls event when 2018 Youth Olympian Satnam Singh (7 minutes 11.9 seconds) topped his run in the 2000-meter run.
