“Yeah, I do [think I was pigeonholed],” she said. “I was so thrilled to work on [2006’s] A Prairie Home Companion [opposite Meryl Streep and Woody Harrelson], and yet even today I have to fight for stuff that is like that, which is frustrating.

Although Lindsay Lohan has experienced an onscreen comeback in recent years, she’s looking to switch up her roles.

The actress recently explained how her working relationship with Netflix came to be amid the Covid-19 pandemic, while admitting she “can’t do movies like these forever” after leading three romantic-comedies for the streaming platform.

“It was really Netflix. Many things weigh on Aza Holmes, the anxious protagonist of Hannah Marks’ Turtles All the Way Down, but none more than the existence of bacteria. Thoughts of these microorganisms — the ease with which they can infiltrate a body and the chances of infection — plague her. She worries about a wound on her left middle finger, a slit in the skin she can’t let heal. Warner Bros. Discovery has announced the movies, TV shows, and live sports that will be available on the Max streaming service in May. The Max May 2024 lineup includes season three of the comedy series Hacks, the drama series Pretty Little Liars: Summer School, and the unscripted series Thirst with Shay Mitchell.

The May schedule also includes the comedy special Nikki Glaser: Someday You’ll Die, as well as the original documentaries Stax: Soulsville, U.S.A. and MoviePass, MovieCrash. Turtles All the Way Down, Stop Making Sense, and The Iron Claw are some of the films coming to the service.
