Even though David Visentin is pitted against his new Love It or List It co-host Page Turner on the hit show, the long-time HGTV favorite has shown he has her back once the camera’s stop rolling. After an Instagram commenter recently insulted Turner, the realtor jumped to his co-star’s defense. “Hate her! Miss Hillary!!!” the social media user wrote, referring to Visentin’s former co-host Hilary Farr, who announced her exit from the show after 19 seasons in 2023. Turner has taken over Farr’s spot, but some fans aren’t on board with the change. Turner was the first to respond to the comment, writing, “Dang! Hate is so strong Did I steal your puppy or something?!” Visentin then got involved in supporting his co-star, writing, “You’re a blast to work with …and no puppy stealer. A ‘list it’s stealer maybe – but I’m working on that!

Love It or List It fans are finding it hard to adjust to the show without Hilary Farr, the beloved host who announced her departure from the series in 2023 following a 19-season-long tenure. For years, HGTV fans had watched Farr sparring with her co-host, real estate agent David Visentin, on the hit home design show. Viewers quickly grew to love the dynamic between Farr and Visentin, making Love It or List It one of the network’s top shows. However, in 2023, Farr announced she’d be stepping back from the program. “I’ve given it so many years of my life. It’s got me through hard times. It’s got the audiences through hard times. It has evolved into a mainstay of people’s lives and it’s been incredibly gratifying. But now it’s time for me to move on and meet new challenges,” she told People at the time.

For years, Love It or List It was one of HGTV‘s premier home design shows. The series featured designer Hilary Farr sparring with co-host and real estate agent David Visentin over whether their clients would love her home remodeling choices enough to keep their original house or put it on the market and buy a new home. Farr’s history of both acting and design and home renovations made her a natural in front of the cameras, with charisma and confidence to spare. The show ran for 19 seasons from 2008 to 2023, but Farr shocked the watching world when she decided to walk away last December after more than 250 episodes. She told People, “I’ve given it so many years of my life. It’s got me through hard times. It’s got the audiences through hard times. It has evolved into a mainstay of people’s lives and it’s been incredibly gratifying.

Discovery said today that its cable nets TLC and Hgtv are teaming to revive the 2000s home-makeover series while you were out.
The premiere of the first series co-production under Discovery’s expanded lifestyle portfolio will be simulcast on both networks, with each brand lending its special flair to the series, Discovery said. Production begins this month for a 2019 premiere.
While You Were Out will feature TLC and Hgtv stars designing one room in neighboring homes
while each set of homeowners send their significant others on a weekend getaway to await the ultimate surprise reveal upon their return. The nets will air their own version of the same episode featuring the same homeowners, designers and carpenters.
“This is an exciting moment for the newly combined Discovery Lifestyle portfolio and for our passionate, female audiences,” said Howard Lee, President and Gm of TLC, and Allison Page, President and Gm of Hgtv and Food Network.

Love It or List It’s Hilary Farr and David Visentin aren’t married, but they still make for a pretty cute couple.
“It’s good. Even when he’s a pain, he’s more laid-back than I am,” says Farr, 64, the hit Hgtv series’ interior designer.
“That’s an understatement,” real estate agent Visentin, 51, adds.
Though they’ve played a vital role in each other’s lives since the show began in 2008, when they first crossed paths, Visentin didn’t exactly leave a memorable impression.
“She actually says she doesn’t even remember me from the audition,” Visentin recalls.

Leslie and Michael are Fillipino immigrants who bought a 1,300-square-foot townhouse, which was plenty of space for them and their young daughter. But Leslie's two sisters and brother-in-law have since moved in and they need more space. Leslie wants to stay in their home, while Michael is ready to have a home that affords more space (and more privacy).
