Montgomery George was enrolled in the Columbia College Film and Video MFA program where he received the prestigious Rosebud Stipend. He was in classes with industry professionals, including Michelle Crenshaw (cinematographer). He produced and directed a graduate film, "The Loving Edge".
He also worked in the film industry as a camera intern and production assistant on a made-for-TV movie, and numerous commercials and industrials in the 1990s.
