Image
Black Clover Anime Revival Hinted After 5 Years ( Photo Credit – Facebook )

Black Clover wrapped up its original anime run in 2021, just as things were starting to build toward something bigger. Asta’s growth was far from over, and the anime didn’t even touch the manga’s final war arc, leaving viewers with half the story and all the anticipation.

For years, nothing concrete followed as there was just silence while Studio Pierrot focused on other major projects like Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War.

Black Clover Season Return Rumors Spark Hope Among Fans

Now, five years later, signs of life have finally emerged. A recent tease from Jump Giga magazine suggests that Black Clover might finally be returning. The publisher hasn’t made anything official, and Studio Pierrot hasn’t stepped forward either. Still, the rumor alone has stirred up excitement. The fanbase hasn’t let go of this series, and the buzz is getting louder again.

Studo Pierrot might have already begun the pre-production procedure, and fans await an official announcement now.

Once season 5 of the anime is announced, it will quickly become one of the most highly anticipated Shonen anime. Needless to say, after a four-year-long hiatus, excitement is at an all-time high. Yet, the current workload of Studio Pierrot does not bode well for the anime.

Black Clover’s Most Controversial Episode was Secretly a Masterpiece
Image
Black Clover has been straddled with one controversial episode after another. But the uproar against it probably reached its peak when episode 63 of the anime aired. What was meant to be a fun and experimental approach was bogged down by criticism.

Tatsuya Yoshihara, the director of the anime, had struggled with an understaffed team and a lack of resources ever since Black Clover‘s pre-production began. A Black Clover Episode Sacrificed Cohesiveness for Experimentation

Tatsuya Yoshihara had been battling with Studio Pierrot’s lack of care about Black Clover for years before episode 63 of the anime debuted. Ever since it began, the anime has been full of inconsistencies and low animation quality. As the director, Yoshihara bore the brunt of the backlash. At the same time,...

Why Was Tatsuya Yoshihara Called the Second Protagonist of ‘Black Clover?’
Image
Black Clover fans might know Tatsuya Yoshihara as the director of the anime, but not many know about the struggles he faced in the position. His rise to fame with Black Clover came with a heavy cost, and his dedication to the work is why he is a central figure behind the anime, one who can even rival the influence of Asta.

The early episodes of Black Clover faced plenty of criticism due to their low-quality animation. Yet, fans need to understand that Yoshihara was not at fault; in fact, it was Studio Pierrot who had set the anime up for failure.

Despite Its Hiatus, Black Clover Still Reigns as One of Netflix's Biggest Anime
Image
While Black Clover has unfortunately suffered a hiatus for a few years now, the anime is still as popular as ever, ranking highly in Netflix's most-watched anime of 2024. This is a given, considering how absolutely beloved and popular the anime was when it was airing, and if it comes back stronger, there is no doubt that it will soar to even greater heights. A new Netflix report has revealed which anime were the most-watched from last year. Surprisingly, Naruto took the top spot despite it ending more than 10 years ago, with One Piece lagging behind at second.

There were some no-brainers on the list, such as Hunter X Hunter, My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, Pokémon, and more, but the most surprising one was definitely Black Clover, which was the sixth most-watched anime on Netflix last year, racking up 138+ million hours on the platform. True to the underdog theme of the story,...

If You Like Dragon Ball Daima, Here's 10 Series You Better Watch Asap
Image
Dragon Ball Daima is the newest addition to the Dragon Ball universe, and it hasn't missed its mark. It's a fun, light-hearted series that reintroduces the cast of Dragon Ball in an amazing light. While Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Gt, and Dragon Ball Super put action first and comedy second, Daima changes the formula to create a new series that feels fresher than ever.

The evil Demon King Gomah used the Dragon Balls to make Goku and the rest of the Z Fighters become kids again, leading to a hilarious adventure, great battles, and surprising transformations. As a series that puts fun first, it has a different tone than most of the Dragon Ball franchise, but there are still plenty of other anime series that share a lot in common with the latest entry into the Dragon Ball canon.

Chainsaw Man Is Ready to Embrace a New Animation Style, But Is the Change Really For the Best?
Image
The anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man was one of the most anticipated ever in the months leading up to its release. Produced by the famed studio Mappa, the series following main devil hunter Denji on his dream chasing journey came with built-in hype, due to the massively popular original manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto. Season One of the anime eventually came and delivered an incredibly cinematic adaptation, while garnering some heavy fanfare and critical acclaim.

However, the anime didn't quite make the cultural impact that fans expected, performing well and bringing new eyes to Chainsaw Man, but ultimately lacking the overwhelming success of other modern adaptations like Jujutsu Kaisen or Demon Slayer. In the two years that have passed since the anime's final episode, fans have debated what exactly held the series back, and the most popular belief is that the visual style just was not fit for a Fujimoto story.

Chainsaw Man’s Movie Is Fixing One Of the Anime Biggest Season One Criticisms
Image
More than one year ago, Chainsaw Man's first season took the anime world by storm and dominated charts and streaming services. While many people loved and enjoyed the anime, there were still many others who had criticisms about the direction the series took. Fortunately, for them, their concerns have been alleviated.

Finally, after more than a year since it was announced, a trailer has been released for the Chainsaw Man Reze movie, and it was everything and more fans wanted. The voice acting was on point, the melancholic and violent soundtracks did justice to the bombastic tone of the arc, and the animation was as wild as can be, perfectly fitting the no-limits action of Chainsaw Man. However, what really caused a stir was the vibrant and colorful visuals and character designs, something season 1 lacked and was a major point of contention.

Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc Trailer, Cast, Latest News, & Everything We Know So Far
Image
Since it first began airing in October 2022, Chainsaw Man has taken the anime world by storm with its compelling and high-stakes action plot. The dark shonen fantasy series, adapted from the original manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto, currently has one season consisting of twelve episodes that concluded in December 2022. The series follows main character Denji, a teenage boy with a mysterious chainsaw power that he uses to kill scary creatures called devils.

Chainsaw Man is widely appreciated for its jaw-dropping action and fight sequences that redefine the constraints of shonen, as well as its fantastic and in-depth character development. Denji is a hilariously interesting main hero and every other character also possesses an intriguing backstory and distinctive, realistic personality. Mappa, the studio responsible for truly stunning animation projects like Attack on Titan and Jujutsu Kaisen, produced the first season of the anime with stunning results. Chainsaw Man Might Be Making a Huge Mistake Letting Go of Ryu Nakayama Because of a Possible Live-Action Adaptation
Image
With Reze Arc’s release, Chainsaw Man is turning heads for all the good reasons. The movie is set to be a cut above the rest in terms of its riveting plot and stellar visuals. It exemplifies quality and superior animation in every sense.

But that is not all, considering Mappa’s arduous efforts to make it a complete masterpiece. This, however, has its fair share of pitfalls as some fans pointed out on the internet.

With Tatsuya Yoshihara headlining the project, there’s a breakaway from the series’ core element. This is especially true with the franchise’s frittering away of Ryu Nakayama’s brilliance as a director.

While the first season was pulled to pieces by most fans, it is only recently that fans have come to appreciate it. Furthermore, Nakayama’s absence would highlight irregularities and inconsistencies with the possible live-action adaptation.

Black Clover Director Rumored To Replace Ryu Nakayama In Upcoming Chainsaw Man Movie
Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc (2025)
Rumors are swirling online that Tatsuya Yoshihara, who served as a director and then Chief Director for Black Clover anime, may be taking the helm as director for the upcoming Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc.

This rumor is gaining tractions because of the perceived departure of the anime’s first season director, Ryu Nakayama, who announced the formation of his own animation studio, Andraft Co. Ltd earlier this year.

While Studio Mappa remains the production house for the Chainsaw Man movie, Nakayama’s move to a new studio had fueled speculations about the future direction of the adaptation.

Nakayama, who was also appointed Chief Creative Officer of animation studio Mayflower this year, had previously hinted at challenges within the production environment on X (formerly Twitter).

He expressed a desire to create a better working environment free from unnecessary power and moral harassment, leading many to believe his departure...
