Christanna Rowader is an LA Ovation Award winner as Mother in Stephen Flaherty's & Lynn Ahren's Ragtime (2015).
She was born in Chicago, Illinois. Her father, Darrell Rowader, is a retired music teacher and guest conductor for the Prescott Pops Symphony Orchestra. Both her parents were opera singers in Chicago (approx. 1977-1993) with the Grant Park Symphony Chorus.
When Christanna was 18, she moved to New York City and briefly studied at The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts (2003). Later, she studied musical theater and creative writing at Arizona State University (2005-2009). She graduated with a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies, concentrations in music and creative writing. In 2009, Christanna moved to Los Angeles.
Christanna has been in numerous regional productions in the Los Angeles area.
