Sets of movies, TV shows and even commercials are filled with creatures trying to eat, hump and/or poop on everything, and that’s just the humans. Trying to film an animal is an almost impossible task at times, resulting in some truly wild on-set incidents. Like when…
5 The ‘Royal Tenenbaums’ Falcon Was Kidnapped
While soaring across the New York City skyline, the falcon who played the Tenenbaum children’s beloved bird, Mordecai, got loose. He made it all the way to New Jersey, where he was found by an opportunistic resident who somehow figured out his origin and held him for ransom. It took two weeks to recover the bird, by which time Wes Anderson et al decided to proceed with filming, which is why some characters comment on Mordecai looking different when he returns.

One of the longest-running shows in TV history, The Simpsons is currently airing its 34th season. While the show’s golden age ended decades ago, season 34 has received some of The Simpsons’ best reviews in years. There are some interesting show-within-a-show premises that the writers have conceived for the Simpsons universe.
From Eye on Springfield to Itchy & Scratchy to the spy-fi police procedural Knightboat the Crime-Solving Boat to a talk show hosted by Gentle Ben, there are many fictional TV series from The Simpsons universe that Redditors wish were real.
Eye On Springfield
Kent Brockman’s main source of income is anchoring the Channel 6 weekday news broadcast, bringing the residents of Springfield updates on the local current affairs. But he also hosts a bunch of other Springfield TV shows, including Smartline, Bite Back, the game show Springfield Squares, and the entertainment news magazine Eye on Springfield.

Need a laugh? Paul Newman shoots people, hangs others and runs a judiciary speed trap for unwary outlaw vagrants. John Huston’s picture is a slack, passably amusing interpretation of writer John Milius’s career- boosting screenplay. A slow-going exercise in ‘printing the legend, only funnier,’ it’s recommended just to take in Stacy Keach’s memorable albino menace, ‘Bad Bob.’
