For the better part of the past decade, a new Masters of the Universe movie has been trying to get off the ground, with several studios taking a crack at this beloved franchise. Sony has been developing the franchise since 2009, picking up the rights from Warner Bros. We reported back in January that McG entered talks to direct, although we haven't had any updates since then. For those who have been waiting for He-Man and the rest of these iconic characters to hit the big screen, DreamWorks TV has some comic relief for you today, with the animated spoof reality series The Real Masters of Eternia.

This hilarious eight-minute spoof takes footage from the 1980s animated series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, and with the help of some crafty editing and new voice actors, turns these characters battling for Eternia into roommates, who have all moved into Castle Greyskull.

Continuously out to prove that he's more than just Mariah Carey arm candy, entrepreneur Nick Cannon is adding feature film director to his already long list of achievements, helming the teen comedy School Dance. The film features comedian Kevin Hart, alongside actresses Melissa Molinaro, Amber Rose, and Kristinia DeBarge, all of whom are seen in a handful of photos that have just arrived from the set. Check it out as Kevin Hart reaches in the fridge to get his Eazy-e on in this tale of a shy freshman who hopes to join his high school's hottest dance clique despite suffering incurable stage fright.

School Dance comes to theaters in 2013 and stars Melissa Molinaro, Korrina Rico, Efren Ramirez, Amber Rose, Kayla Collins, Kristinia DeBarge, Catherine Masters, Jasmine Sanders. The film is directed by Nick Cannon.
