Exclusive: Walk Like A Duck Entertainment and Renegade Entertainment have entered into a two-picture financing and co-production deal, tapping veteran second unit director, stunt choreographer and fight coordinator Chris Brewster as the director for the first film under the deal, titled Relentless. The deal follows Wlad’s participation in Renegade’s recently released features Dig and Slayers, starring Renegade principal Thomas Jane.

Relentless is a Taken-style action-thriller in which Jane will play Charlie Thorne, a former U.S. Army Green Beret living off the grid who is forced back into action when smugglers steal his boat, leaving him for dead and attempting to kill a young girl he has befriended. In the cross-fire of warring crime gangs, Thorne re-enters battle, fighting to rescue the young girl, while combatting his own internal demons.

Exclusive: Renegade Entertainment, the production company co-founded by Courtney Lauren Penn and Thomas Jane, has optioned Chuck Hustmyre’s feature screenplay Relentless and will develop and produce the project as a starring vehicle for Jane.

Pic is an action thriller following a former U.S. Army Green Beret (Jane) who, after smugglers steal his boat and leave him for dead, gets caught between warring crime gangs as he fights to save the life of a young girl.

Hustmyre spent 22 years in law enforcement and retired as a special agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (Atf). During his career he specialized in violent crime, narcotics, and fugitive investigations. He previously wrote the Momentum Pictures action film Disturbing the Peace, starring Guy Pearce, and the Lionsgate films House of the Rising Sun starring Dave Bautista and End of a Gun starring Steven Seagal.

The Efm has hurled up another new horror title seeking potential buyers. 'Chomp 3D' is the genetically enhanced super-sized alligator movie that we've been missing from our collection. Once sold the project will be exec produced by Nick Stiliadis and producer Dan Grodnik with a director still on the shopping list. The package has said to be a mix of the humour of comedy horror of Joe Dante's 'Gremlins' with the 'sheer terror and smarts(?)' of Renny Harlin's 'Deep Blue Sea'. If the flick gets picked up then the lucky helmer will direct from a script already penned by Chuck Hustmyre. Head below and cast your eyes upon the super-sized plot synopsis and teaser art....

Daniel Zirilli will direct "End of the Gun" from a screenplay by Chuck Hustmyre, Mass Hysteria Entertainment said Friday.  The movie is scheduled to start shooting in late spring.  "End of the Gun" centers on a one-time federal agent who falls several stations in life to become a mall security guard. He saves a woman from being beaten in a parking lot, but finds himself on the wrong side of a drug kingpin's ruthless enforcer.  Zirilli previously directed the prison thriller "Locked Down" (2010) with Vinnie Jones and  the racing comedy "Fast Girl" (2008).
