It has been four years since director Cary Fukunaga, who previously directed Daniel Craig's final outing as James Bond in No Time to Die, was accused of multiple accounts of sexual misconduct. Fukunaga was accused of sexual misconduct, grooming, and crossing professional lines on set, which one would imagine would kill anyone's career. Yet that doesn't seem to have stopped him from lining up a new film with the two stars Sony Pictures has invested in to carry their Spider-Man-led franchise that doesn't feature the superhero.
Deadline has reported that Fukunaga has signed on to direct an adaptation of John Nesb crime thriller novel Blood on Snow, with Tom Hardy (Venom) and Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kraven the Hunter) set to star. Nesb will pen the script based on his original novel, marking a rare turn for him to adapt one of his books. His work has previously been adapted...

It’s no mystery what “True Detective” creator Nic Pizzolatto thinks of the fourth season, “True Detective: Night Country.” Yet showrunner Issa López isn’t taking Pizzolatto’s public criticisms personally.
Ten years since Pizzolatto’s anthology HBO series starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson debuted, the screenwriter took to Instagram to comment on how “Night Country” connects to the first season of “True Detective,” calling it “so stupid.” Despite serving as an executive producer on “Night Country,” Pizzolatto wrote (via screenshots of the comments), “I certainly did not have any input on this story or anything else. Can’t blame me.”
“Night Country” showrunner Issa López, who writes and directs all six episodes of the new season led by Jodie Foster and Kali Reis, told Vulture that Pizzolatto is certainly “entitled” to his beliefs.
“I believe that every storyteller has a very specific, peculiar, and unique relation to the stories they create,...

“No Time to Die” director Cary Fukunaga is being accused of inappropriate workplace behavior and abusing his power on set to engage in relationships with younger women. Anonymous sources from the production of the upcoming AppleTV+ miniseries “Masters of the Air,” on which the 44-year-old Fukunaga serves as a director, told Rolling Stone that he engaged in an “absolute, clear-cut abuse of power” when engaging with young female actresses and crew members.
Fukunaga denies the claim, with his attorney Michael Plonsker issuing a statement that notes, “There is nothing salacious about pursuing friendships or consensual romantic relationships with women.” Plonsker continued that “no one ever — not once — voiced such sentiments to” Fukunaga over harassment claims. “He creates a work environment that is creative, collaborative and welcoming to all,” Plonsker said in a statement.
IndieWire has reached out to representatives for Fukunaga and at Apple TV+ for comment.

“No Time to Die” director Cary Joji Fukunaga has been accused of inappropriate sexual advances by at least three young actresses.
In a series of online posts last week, actress Rachelle Vinberg (HBO’s “Betty”) last week accused Fukunaga of taking advantage of their two-decade age difference, claiming he began pressuring her into a romantic relationship just after she had turned 18. She said they became “completely fully intimate” several years later, before he broke it off when she was 21.
Meanwhile, twin actresses Hannah and Cailin Loesch (Netflix’s “Maniac”) said they endured the director’s simultaneous romantic pursuit of both of them, with requests for a “threesome” and an encounter last year in his New York City penthouse during which they said “he grabbed [Cailin] and pulled her on top of him, Hannah still right there” — which left Cailin “terrified.”

With his upcoming indie zombie drama Maggie opening in theaters on May 8, Arnold Schwarzenegger has released yet another clip on his Facebook page. This scene shows the actor's character Wade, trying to protect his daughter Maggie (Abigail Breslin) from a group of zombies. We know that Maggie eventually becomes infected by the undead at some point in this movie, but it isn't clear if that has happened yet in this scene.
Maggie tells the story of a deadly zombie virus that has put a plague on the world. When Maggie, a vivacious young woman becomes infected, her father brings her home to let her be with their family. As Maggie's condition worsens, their relationship is tested, a father's love holding on stronger than the disease. If you caught my Maggie review, you know I’m not particularly into the film, but there are a few instances where first-time feature director Henry Hobson puts some really interesting spins on the zombie apocalypse scenario. However, sadly, this new Maggie clip cuts just short of revealing one of them. No, you don’t want to spoil a movie in the marketing campaign, but had this clip lasted mere seconds longer, it could have given you something curious to chew on without revealing the entire scene. You can check out the clip for yourself below. Maggie arrives On Demand and in theaters in New York City on May 8th. The film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Abigail Breslin, Joely Richardson, J.D. Evermore, Raeden Greer and Bryce Romero. Via Arnold Schwarzenegger. // Maggie Clip: Arnold Schwarzenegger Faces off Against Zombies appeared first on Collider.
