The first Punjabi movie ever produced by one and only Hema Malini gets a release date. Punjabi Film Mitti ? Virasat Babbaran Di is produced by actress Hema Malini and B Venkatesh Rao and is directed by Hriday Sheetty will release on 23rd August , the teaser of the film was unveiled by the makers today.
The story revolves around 5 youngsters which is set in current Punjab with a backdrop of drug menace that has plagued the state. Mitti ? Virasat Babbaran Di is inspired by a true incident of 1920 when 5 Sikh (Babbars) NRIs came back to India and fought with britishers and died in the process. The film?stars Rabbi Kandola, Kuljinder Sidhu, Japji Khaira, Jagjeet Sandhu, Nishawn Bhullar, Dheeraj Kumar, Pali Sandhu and Aakanksha Sareen.
