Image
Ghosts may not return for Season 5 until October, but the stars of CBS‘s hit comedy were spilling all of the need-to-know details about the upcoming chapter during their visit to the TV Insider and TV Guide Magazine San Diego Comic-Con studio. Utkarsh Ambudkar, who plays living chef and B&b proprietor Jay, joined costars Danielle Pinnock, Asher Grodman, and Devan Chandler Long, who portray Woodstone-bound spirits, jazz singer Alberta, Wall Street bro Trevor, and Viking Thorfinn, were all on site to spill teases on the latest season. As fans will recall, CBS renewed the series for Seasons 5 and 6 back in February 2025, promising viewers plenty of excitement in the years to come. As they sat down for an interview, the stars got candid about Jay’s future after his unintentional deal with demon Elias Woodstone (Matt Walsh), who they’d love to see in future roles, and much more. ‘Ghosts’ Cast Reveals How They’ll Step Up to Save Jay’s Soul in Season 5 [Exclusive]
Image
The end of Ghosts Season 4 left us on quite an interesting cliffhanger with not only Jay’s life but his eternal soul hanging in the balance. When Season 5 returns in a few months, we can expect to see the ghosts of Woodstone rally around Jay as they all must find a way to get him out of his contract with Elias. At San Diego Comic-Con, the cast of the hit sitcom stopped by the Collider studio for a delightful conversation with Perri Nemiroff, who asked Danielle Pinnock, Asher Grodman, and Devan Chandler Long how their characters may contribute to the rescue plan.

Pinnock, who plays 1920s jazz singer Alberta, chimed in immediately, saying she’d be more than willing to go to hell to save Jay, whom she thinks of as a nephew. “Alberta wants to go to hell. I know that for sure. I wanna see what this universe looks like.

‘Ghosts’ Star Asher Grodman Reveals What Hetty and Trevor Are to Each Other [Exclusive]
Image
As we count down the weeks until GhostsSeason 5 premieres on CBS, some of the cast of the hit sitcom took to San Diego Comic-Con this weekend to give us our first taste of what to expect from the new season. Following a panel full of exciting announcements, including the return of Trevor’s daughter Abby (Gideon Adlon), a new Halloween episode, and more of Bela (Punam Patel) helping around Woodstone, Asher Grodman, Danielle Pinnock, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and Devan Chandler Long stopped by the Collider studio for a delightful chat with Perri Nemiroff.

During their wide-ranging conversation, Nemiroff made sure to ask Grodman about Trevor’s ever-evolving relationship with Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky), inquiring whether they’re stronger as “power friends” or as a “power couple.” To Grodman, whatever label they decide to give their complex and captivating relationship comes secondary to the tension and connection between Trevor and Hetty. 'Ghosts' Star Teases Pete and Alberta's "Tricky" Romance in Season 5: "He's Dating a Murderer!" [Exclusive]
Image
At the end of Season 4 of Ghosts, following a terrifying cliffhanger for Jay, the series left us with a sweet treat as Pete (Richie Moriarty) and Alberta (Danielle Pinnock) finally shared a kiss in the last moments of the finale. Pete has been pining for Alberta since Season 1, but Alberta only realized she reciprocated his feelings a few episodes ago. In Season 5, which premieres on CBS on October 16, Pete and Alberta will have to navigate this new dynamic as their opposites-attract relationship finally sets sail.

During the Collider Ladies Night panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Perri Nemiroff asked Danielle Pinnock about the kiss and how we can expect it to shape Alberta’s story in Season 5. Confessing that the bootlegging jazz singer is now in her “soft girl era,” Pinnock told the audience:

"First of all, Richie Moriarty is an incredible Pete, and I’m so excited I get to play Season 5 with him,...

A single-camera comedy series, the Ghosts TV show stars Rose McIver, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Brandon Scott Jones, Richie Moriarty, Danielle Pinnock, Asher Grodman, Roman Zaragoza, Rebecca Wisocky, Sheila Carrasco, and Devan Chandler Long. ‘Ghosts’ Season 5 May Finally Answer One of the Show's Biggest Questions
Image
Since February, Ghosts has gotten a double renewal that will see the fan-favorite comedy return for Seasons 5 and 6, both of which have no set premiere dates — though the show is expected to stay in its regular time slot. Not many details have been shared about the upcoming seasons either, but that is likely to change soon. Nevertheless, there’s only one major question that needs answering regarding a particular character’s death, which co-showrunner Joe Wiseman has teased the possibility of an answer finally being provided in Ghosts Season 5.

If you’ve been following Ghosts closely, you’d have noticed that details about all the main ghosts' deaths have pretty much been revealed except one: Sasappis (Román Zaragoza), who is often the only voice of reason among the bunch. Fortunately, viewers will “very likely” find out more about his death when the sitcom returns, according to Wiseman, who also offered...

Why Some Characters Were Occasionally Absent In Ghosts Season 4 Gets Answered In New Report
Image
Many episodes of Ghosts season 4 were missing one or more characters from the sitcom’s lineup, and there is a satisfying explanation for this. The spirits of CBS’s Ghosts are the show’s main characters and, despite all that Sam and Jay do for them, the sitcom’s true focus. As such, it is always noticeable when one of the show’s ghosts goes missing for a few episodes.

With so many major characters, it is no surprise that some season 4 episodes didn't feature major Ghosts characters like Sass, Thor, or Flower. However, the sheer number of characters in the sitcom’s lineup isn’t the only cause of its missing cast members in season 4. When asked about this phenomenon inTVInsider’s "Ask Matt" column, TV critic Matt Roush had this explanation to offer:

“When this question has come up before, the show’s creators have typically explained that...

"It Gives Her a Little Bit of Power": 'Ghosts' Star Sheila Carrasco Reveals How Hetty and Trevor Brought Out a New Side of Flower [Exclusive]
Image
Across 22 episodes, GhostsSeason 4 brought us some new sides of our favorite characters. After being stuck in a well for a significant portion of Season 3 while actress Sheila Carrascowas on maternity leave, Flower stepped into the spotlight a few times in Season 4 to show off a side of the perma-fried hippie that we've never seen before. After sharing some revelations about her past with the cult, Flower has gained a bit of confidence, allowing her to go head to head with two of the house's most powerful — and most conniving — ghosts. During the latest episode of Collider Ladies Night, Carrasco spoke with series host Perri Nemiroff about getting to deliver those more authoritative moments for her typically rather aloof character.

In Season 4, Episode 18, "Smooching and Smushing," Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky) and Trevor (Asher Grodman) attempt to teach Flower a lesson by showing her how having money would corrupt even her charity-driven heart.

GhostsSeason 4 has come to a close. After 22 episodes of laughs and undead shenanigans, we've been left on the edge of our seats awaiting the return of Season 5 this fall. As far as relationships go, Season 4 took our ghosts all over the map — literally! Pete (Richie Moriarty) continued his romance with Donna (Allegra Edwards) only to later break up with her in the finale, now that his long-time crush, Alberta (Danielle Pinnock), is interested in being with him.

Why CBS’s Ghosts Absolutely Deserved To Be Renewed For Two More Seasons
Image
If you think I am about to rant about my favorite show, Ghosts, you are absolutely right. There’s a reason the series was renewed for two more seasons without anyone objecting.

If you haven’t given Ghosts a chance, you’re not too late to the party, unlike these spirits. Honestly, I’m jealous of viewers who get to experience the series for the first time.

(Bertrand Calmeau/CBS) Though No One Talks About It, Ghosts Has Had Major...

"There's Something Bizarre About It": 'Ghosts' Star Román Zaragoza Reveals What Kind of Flashbacks He Wants in Season 5
Image
With over 1000 years of character history, Ghostshas nearly endless opportunities for flashbacks, ranging from brief jokes to elaborate character reveals. In Season 4 alone, we've seen the first meeting between Sasappis (Román Zaragoza) and Thor (Devan Chandler Long), the moment Alberta (Danielle Pinnock) set out to chase her dreams of being a musician, and Flower's (Shiela Carrasco) early days in the cult.

I recently sat down with Zaragoza to unpack his big two-part romance arc in "His Girl Shiki" and this week's episode, "Smooching and Smushing," and during our delightful conversation, I had to ask what kind of flashbacks he'd like to see in the future now that the show has been renewed for two seasons. "Oh, boy. Gosh. I definitely want to see more of Thor and Sass before anyone else is there," he explained, building off of the flashback to their first meeting in this year's holiday special, "A Very Arondekar Christmas.
