47 Meters Down premiered in 2017, following two sisters who go cage diving during a holiday in Mexico. It starred This Is Us' Mandy Moore and The Vampire Diaries' Claire Holt in the leading roles. A sequel followed two years later called 47 Meters Down: Uncaged with an entirely new cast. Variety reports that the streaming service has submitted Teen Wolf: The Movie for Emmys consideration in the following categories: Outstanding Television Movie, Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie (Tyler Posey), Directing (Russell Mulcahy), Writing, Prosthetic Makeup and Original Music and Lyrics (“Lemon” by Tyler Posey).

Since Posey was also a producer on the film, Variety notes that these submissions give him three chances to earn an Emmy nod.

The former — a film revival of the beloved 2011 young-adult supernatural series that reunites a majority of the cast, including stars Tyler Posey and Tyler Hoechlin — broke the streamer’s record for the most-watched original move in the first day of its debut.

Oh, and there was even a treat for potential fans of Wolf Pack, the new series from the Jeff Davis, the creator of Teen Wolf.

Both Teen Wolf and Wolf Pack are set to premiere Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023 exclusively on the service in the U.S. and Canada.

The film, written and produced by Jeff Davis, will premiere the following day on Friday, Jan. 27, 2023 on Paramount+ in the U.K. and Australia.

In Latin America and Brazil, the film will be available early next year. Premiere dates for other Paramount+ international markets will be announced at a later date.

New Teen Wolf: The Movie images reveal fresh looks at the Nogitsune and more returning characters. Loosely based on the 1985 film of the same name and developed for television by Jeff Davis, the original MTV series ran for six seasons and on Scott McCall (Tyler Posey), the titular teenage werewolf who defends the town of Beacon Hills from various supernatural threats. Now, the MTV show's story will be continued in Teen Wolf: The Movie, which is written by Davis and will debut next year.

Entertainment Weekly released some brand-new Teen Wolf: The Movie images, revealing fresh looks at the Nogitsune and Allison. The images also show a grown-up Scott McCall and many more returning characters. Check out the new images below:

The “Teen Wolf” movie has a premiere date!

The anticipated film, which members of the original cast, will drop Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023 on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada, it was announced Friday at New York Comic Con. It will be available on the streaming service the following day on Friday, Jan. 27 in the U.K., Latin America and Australia.

Release dates for other international territories will be announced later.

Paramount+ has announced that the upcoming original film Teen Wolf: The Movie will premiere Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023 exclusively on the service in the U.S. and Canada. The film, written and produced by Jeff Davis, will premiere the following day on Friday, Jan. 27, 2023 on Paramount+ in the U.K., Latin America, and Australia. Premiere dates for other Paramount+ international markets will be announced at a later date. It was quite the Teen Wolf cast reunion at the 2022 New York Comic Con on October 7th. Series creator Jeff Davis joined his returning Teen Wolf stars Tyler Posey, Crystal Reed, Holland Roden, Colton Haynes, Shelley Hennig, Dylan Sprayberry, and Khylin Rhambo for a packed Teen Wolf: The Movie panel at Javits Center. Teen Wolf newcomers Vince Mattis and Amy Workman also took the stage for the half-hour panel.

Writer/executive producer Jeff Davis kicked off the panel discussing the inspiration for Teen Wolf: The Movie. “One thought was could we bring Crystal Reed back? I always said if we were going to do a movie, we would have to bring Crystal Reed back. And so the idea started percolating and I said to Crystal over text – actually on Instagram it was – and I said, ‘Are you ready to pick up the bow and arrow again?’ And we talked and there was magic still there.

That means we don't have long to wait to check back in with the humans, wolves, and everything in between who resides in the popular town.

With the trailer debuting at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, more details are starting to materialize.

TV Insider sat down with creator, Jeff Davis, and stars Tyler Posey and Tyler Hoechlin about the project.

Davis revealed that "the studio wanted it," speaking of the formal pickup to the outlet.

Posey, who plays Scott McCall, said that he "wouldn't stop bugging him [Davis] about it."

Davis also said that there was the option of him not writing the movie, but he wanted to.

“I’m like, ‘I’m writing this. Nobody else is writing this,'” he shared.

“That’s always fun to do, to see where are [the characters now] now and to create a story off of that.”

Paramount+ today revealed the official teaser trailer for Teen Wolf: The Movie during the film’s Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

The teaser trailer teases some big returns, but one that is sure to get the fans talking is the return of Allison Argent.

Allison died on Teen Wolf Season 3, but it sounds like there's a reason for her miraculous return from the dead.

"Allison, she's alive," we see Scott telling her father in an emotionally-charged scene.

Understandably, there will be plenty of questions surrounding how -- and why -- she's back.

Hopefully, the writers have some answers that work when telling such a tale.

The movie was written and executive produced by Jeff Davis.
