Judging by the trailer, Don’t Log Off has certain surface similarities to the celebrated pandemic horror picture Host. However, from what we can tell from the trailer, it looks like Don’t Log Off might feature a more human antagonist than Host,...

Teen Wolf: The Movie is seeking Emmy nominations
Image
The MTV series Teen Wolf – which was loosely inspired by the 1985 comedy film Teen Wolf (watch our Awfully Good video on that movie Here) – wrapped up its six season run back in 2017, and back in January it got a feature film follow-up on the Paramount+ streaming service. (Read our review of Teen Wolf: The Movie at This Link.) Now Paramount+ is hoping that movie is going to rack up multiple Primetime Emmy Awards nominations.

Variety reports that the streaming service has submitted Teen Wolf: The Movie for Emmys consideration in the following categories: Outstanding Television Movie, Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie (Tyler Posey), Directing (Russell Mulcahy), Writing, Prosthetic Makeup and Original Music and Lyrics (“Lemon” by Tyler Posey).

Since Posey was also a producer on the film, Variety notes that these submissions give him three chances to earn an Emmy nod.

47 Meters Down: Uncaged's 5 Deaths Ranked
Image
While there may only be a mere five death scenes in 47 Meters Down: Uncaged, the 47 Meters Down sequel still ensures that most of these demises pack a pretty vicious punch. Since director Stephen Spielberg’s Jaws warned viewers to stay out of the water in 1975, shark movies have been one of the most reliably popular monster movie sub-genres. Whenever Hollywood wants to make a quick buck, studios can always turn to the open water, as evidenced by the 2011-2012 success of Bait 3D and Shark Night 3D and the 2016-2017 success of The Shallows and 47 Meters Down.

Despite these two sets of dueling shark movies arriving within a year of each other, all of these turned a tidy profit thanks to the perennial appeal of the sub-genre. 47 Meters Down even managed to net itself a sequel in 2019 with 47 Meters Down: Uncaged. While the dark twist...

Teen Wolf: The Movie 2? Tyler Posey and Crystal Reed want a sequel

The MTV series Teen Wolf – which was loosely inspired by the 1985 comedy film Teen Wolf (watch our Awfully Good video on that movie Here) – wrapped up its six season run back in 2017, but last month it got a feature film follow-up on the Paramount+ streaming service. And now that Teen Wolf has made its return, stars Tyler Posey and Crystal Reed said they would like to see it keep rolling with feature sequels.

Speaking with Screen Rant, Posey said he wants to work on Teen Wolf: The Movie 2 and possibly more sequels because, “(The Movie) is definitely not the perfect ending. I think it lends itself to more, I want more. I think it would be interesting to now see how they live their lives as adults. We got to see them as teenagers. The Teen Wolf Movie Proves Why It Should Have Been A Sequel Show
Image
Warning: Contains spoilers for Teen Wolf: The Movie

Teen Wolf: The Movie picks up the story more than a decade after Teen Wolf’s original ending, but the movie would have been much better as a show. Teen Wolf: The Movie brings Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) and most of his pack back together to take on the Nogitsune (Aaron Hendry) once more. Out for revenge, the Nogitsune instigated Allison Argent’s (Crystal Reed) resurrection to tear the pack apart and kill Scott, only to be thwarted by the pack’s belief in one another. Teen Wolf: The Movie’s ending is both tragic and hopeful, as Scott and Allison get a second chance at love, and the next generation of the Hale family is set to take center stage.

Teen Wolf: The Movie packs a lot of action into its nearly two-and-a-half-hour runtime, and yet it doesn’t feel like enough.

The Teen Wolf Movie Completely Failed The Show's Friendships
Image
Warning! Spoilers for Teen Wolf: The Movie.

Teen Wolf: The Movie reunited most of Teen Wolf’s beloved heroes, yet in doing so, ignored the show’s most important friendships. Teen Wolf: The Movie saw Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) and his pack members join forces once more to take on the Nogitsune (Aaron Hendry), one of Teen Wolf’s creepiest villains. A fundamental pillar of Teen Wolf has always been the love the pack members have for one another, whether romantic or platonic. This was never more apparent than when they beat the Nogitsune for the first time in Teen Wolf season 3. They did everything they could to save Stiles (Dylan O’Brien), who had been possessed by the Nogitsune.

With Crystal Reed’s return as Allison Argent in Teen Wolf: The Movie, it was to be expected that the revival would focus on her romance with Scott. Allison...

‘Teen Wolf: The Movie’ Breaks Paramount+ Record for Most-Watched Original Movie in First Day (Exclusive)
Teen Wolf: The Movie (2023)
Paramount+ has spooked up two hits with debuts “Teen Wolf: The Movie” and “Wolf Pack,” both of which hail from MTV Entertainment Studios, creator Jeff Davis (who’s under a multi-year deal at the studio) and MGM.

The former — a film revival of the beloved 2011 young-adult supernatural series that reunites a majority of the cast, including stars Tyler Posey and Tyler Hoechlin — broke the streamer’s record for the most-watched original move in the first day of its debut.

The latter, which stars and is executive produced by Sarah Michelle Gellar, marked the platform’s most-viewed YA show since the “iCarly” reboot, making it the No. 2 YA series premiere overall in its first 24 hours.

Teen Wolf: The Movie Review: A Disappointing Continuation
Image
In its heyday, Teen Wolf was massively popular and one of MTV's few successful scripted dramas, which led to the series getting its very own film continuation in Teen Wolf: The Movie. Based very loosely on the 80s movie of the same name, Teen Wolf managed to find lightning in a bottle with its charming and charismatic young cast, who brought to life the increasingly ludicrous supernatural world of Beacon Hills with tremendous heart. Now, the former teens are reuniting as adults and, along with creator Jeff Davis, seeing if they can replicate that same spirit. Teen Wolf: The Movie tries to capture the magic of the original show, but though many original cast members returned, it falls short of the mark.

Picking up 15 years after the death of Allison Argent (Crystal Reed) at the end of season 3, Teen Wolf: The Movie finds members of Scott McCall's (Tyler Posey...

Teen Wolf Trailer Breakdown: The Pack Is Back In A Compelling Continuation Of The Show's Best Plotline
Image
Guess who's back, back again? "Teen Wolf" is back, and you should definitely tell your friends because there is a lot to be excited about. The beloved MTV series is getting the movie treatment with "Teen Wolf: The Movie" debuting in January, and the first trailer gives us the full scope of what we can expect from this nostalgia-heavy supernatural reboot.

First off, what exactly brings us back to Beacon Hills fifteen years after the final season of "Teen Wolf"? It appears that the Oni — the neutral demon warriors from season 3 of the show — have returned to the northern California town, and no one knows why. Naturally, this brings our favorite alpha, Tyler Posey's Scott McCall, back into town, and he summons the majority of supernatural crew from the days of yore to reunite and fight.

So, who exactly are we talking about here? By the looks of the trailer,...

Teen Wolf: The Movie poster unveiled ahead of January Paramount+ release
Image
Eleven years ago, Jeff Davis took the basic concept of the 1985 comedy film Teen Wolf (watch our Awfully Good video on that movie Here) and turned it into a supernatural teen drama series for MTV. The show ran for six seasons, wrapping up in 2017. Five years later, much of the show’s cast has been brought back together for the Teen Wolf franchise’s return to the world of feature films, a project appropriately titled Teen Wolf: The Movie. The new movie is going to be released through the Paramount+ streaming service on January 26th, and today they unveiled a poster for it. You can take a look at the poster at the bottom of this article.

Directed by Russell Mulcahy from a script written by Jeff Davis, Teen Wolf: The Movie has the following synopsis:

A full moon rises in Beacon Hills, and with it a terrifying evil has emerged.

Teen Wolf newcomers Vince Mattis and Amy Workman also took the stage for the half-hour panel.

Writer/executive producer Jeff Davis kicked off the panel discussing the inspiration for Teen Wolf: The Movie. “One thought was could we bring Crystal Reed back? I always said if we were going to do a movie, we would have to bring Crystal Reed back. Teen Wolf fans are getting something they never thought they'd get:

A movie based on the hit MTV series.

TV Insider sat down with creator, Jeff Davis, and stars Tyler Posey and Tyler Hoechlin about the project.

Davis revealed that "the studio wanted it," speaking of the formal pickup to the outlet.

Posey, who plays Scott McCall, said that he "wouldn't stop bugging him [Davis] about it."

Davis also said that there was the option of him not writing the movie, but he wanted to.

“I’m like, ‘I’m writing this. Nobody else is writing this,'” he shared.

“That’s always fun to do, to see where are [the characters now] now and to create a story off of that.”

We are so ready to head back to Beacon Hills after that trailer, Teen Wolf fans.

Paramount+ today revealed the official teaser trailer for Teen Wolf: The Movie during the film’s Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

The teaser trailer teases some big returns, but one that is sure to get the fans talking is the return of Allison Argent.

Allison died on Teen Wolf Season 3, but it sounds like there's a reason for her miraculous return from the dead.

"Allison, she's alive," we see Scott telling her father in an emotionally-charged scene.

Understandably, there will be plenty of questions surrounding how -- and why -- she's back.

Hopefully, the writers have some answers that work when telling such a tale.

The movie was written and executive produced by Jeff Davis.

The film will stream exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S., Canada, U.K. and internationally, where the service is available.

“I wanted to make sure I did the character justice,” creator Jeff Davis said at the “Teen Wolf” panel. “Having her back was amazing. I texted Crystal, ‘We don’t really have a story yet. I mostly have ideas but I always said if I was gonna do a movie, I would bring back Allison.’ She texted back and said that she burst into tears. She was in from that moment.”

When asked about what it was like working with Reed again, star Tyler Posey — who was happy to report that...
