Kathleen M Wilce is a New York based theatre and film actor whose
passion for Shakespeare brought her to London, England where she has
also studied the British stage. Notable NY Theatre credits in which she
played lead roles include: Anna in Anna Karenina (which she also
produced) at ATA's Beckmann Theatre, Viola in Shakespeare's Twelfth
Night, Helen in Helen Keller, Maggie, in Maggie a Girl of the streets
by Stephen Crane, Dominique DeWilde in Taming the Bull as part of the
Strawberry One-Act Festival at St. Clement's Theatre, Bettina Barnes in
Psycho Beach Party by Charles Bush, Agnes in Agnes of God by John
Pielmeier, Susha in The Gamblers, adaptation by Arthur Reel, Darla in
Homecoming 1972 as part of the Summer Shorties Festival at Turtle Shell
Theatre and most recently Sofia in In Love Again at The Manhattan
Repertory Theatre. Her Film/TV credits include: The Sopranos, Sex in
the City, Boardwalk Empire, Celebrity Ghost Stories: The Rebecca
DeMornay Story, Monsters Inside Me Episode 204-206 on the Animal
Planet, The Psychologist in a music video by rap artists: Mazz &
Sneakas, commercials: Played a Mom for a Children's Tylenol commercial
produced by Eye Patch Productions, Ogilvy & Mather and most recently
modeled for an Infomercial for Warren-Tricomi's hair product "Repair".
Other films include: Journey to the surface of the Earth, Icebreaker,
Soul Mate, and several other short indie films and voice overs which
are available upon request. She has written, directed and performed in
several of her own one-act plays that ran Off-Off Broadway including;
Marie Tesoro Mio, Hershey Kisses, Wet Socks, The Game, and I am a
Vietnam Vet. When she's not acting she can be found directing and her
directing credits include: Summer by Edith Wharton, Cold Reading,
Discovery Date, Obnoxious Beauty and Iced Cubed by Edan Schappert. She
is the recipient of the Distinguished Director's Award at Kean
University for Outstanding Performance and Rehearsal Technique. She has
studied Film Technique with Bill Hopkins at Stella Adler Studio,
Acting/Directing with Aleksey Burago at HB Studios, Audition Intensive
with George DiCenzo at The School for Film And
Television,Singing/Movement with Elizabeth Hodes at H.B. Studios and
completed an intensive program in Russian Art Theatre at Columbia
University under the Direction of Slava Dolgatchev and Oleg Kheyfets.
She recently finished shooting the short film "Molly" playing the role
of Kathy produced by 435 Films. She performed her solo Theatre
production of "Love without Law", a play which she wrote and performed
in December at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre Fall Festival 2011. She
will be seen playing the role of Joyce in the upcoming short film
"Youth & Death" and most recently performed the lead role of Dr.
Vanessa Michaels in the play "From the Inside" which was performed at
Manhattan Repertory Theatre in March 2012.
