Glowflare Horror Film Festival Kicks Off with Vampires, Sorcery and Amnesia
Image
The Glowflare Horror Film Festival has announced the first titles in its 2025 programme, setting the stage for a weekend of unsettling cinema in East Yorkshire this May. Running 17-18 May at Parkway Cinema in Beverley, the festival kicks off with three fiercely independent horror features, all of which promise to test the nerves and expectations of its audience.

First on the list is All This Time, the new psychological time-loop chiller from Rob Worsey. Starring Emily Rose Holt, the film follows a mother ensnared in a never-ending night within a mysterious house where reality slips further away with each repetition. Pursued and manipulated by a sinister vampire, played by Dan De Bourg, Grace must confront a labyrinth of memory and trauma to escape. With gothic imagery, an enigmatic housekeeper, and echoes of The Others and Triangle, Worsey’s film looks set to be a standout entry for fans of character-driven terror.

HorRHIFFic 2025: ‘The Cellar’ Review
Image
Stars: Meghan Adara, Neil James, Charlotte Marshall, Mickaela Sands, Obie Dean, Tom Clear, Sophie Flack, Wayne Liversidge, Sophie Karl, James Merganser, Abi Mcloughlin | Written and Directed by Jamie Langlands

The feature-length directorial debut of actor Jamie Langlands, The Cellar follows Abigail (Meghan Adara), who awakens to find herself imprisoned in a subterranean chamber. After managing to escape her confinement, she discovers an expansive and labyrinthine network of cellars, patrolled by a masked guard. As she evades her captor, Abigail uncovers a flurry of missing posters – possible evidence that the entire Alcoholics Anonymous group she attended has also been abducted, though the motive behind their imprisonment remains a mystery.

Most of The Cellar plays out, for the majority, without any dialogue. The only dialogue there is takes place in flashbacks to the AA meetings Abigail attends, otherwise, her entire capture and suspenseful escape is largely silent, her fear conveyed in the...

All Of You Review: Brett Goldstein & Imogen Poots' Chemistry Sizzles In Bittersweet Romantic Drama
Image
When we meet Simon (Brett Goldstein) and Laura (Imogen Poots) in William Bridges and Goldsteins sci-fi romantic drama, All of You, we are instantly hit with their palpable chemistry. As someone unfamiliar with Ted Lasso, I was incredibly taken by Brett Goldsteins presence as a romantic lead. He acts tough and unbothered by the fact that his best friend is undergoing a test to find her soulmate, but we can see in his gaze that he is head over heels in love.

We know as well as Simon this isnt going to work out for him, but he isnt tempted to distance himself from Laura just yet. As the movie ends, I was left with one strong feeling...

Yes folks, we have a newcomer to the UK horror scene, something we keep a close eye on here at Nerdly (that’s why we sponsor both Grimmfest and the Romford Horror Festival), coming out the gate with not one but two films – both of which we’ll be reviewing this week and both of which tackle very different aspects of the genre.

The film tells the story of a young cellist called Eve Taylor (Lara Lemon) who gets kidnapped and imprisoned in a dungeon-like basement,...
