Fox Corp. Races to Collect Creators Before Rivals Can Do the Same
Image
At Fox Corporation, the next Colin Cowherd or Jesse Watters isn’t likely to come from the ranks of TV-host wannabes.

Fox’s various operations, which include Fox Sports, Fox News and the Tubi streaming service, rarely act in tandem. In recent months, however, many of them — even the ad-sales department — have begun reaching out to digital-media entrepreneurs, also known as “creators,” in a bid to find new talent that might just be the next hot talker or buzzy showstopper the company needs to keep viewers and business partners coming to its screens.

Fox News, which has minted outspoken personalities like Megyn Kelly or Sean Hannity for years, surprised observers recently by striking a licensing deal with the principals of the popular conservative “Ruthless” podcast, part of a bid to expand its portfolio of opinion programming. Fox Sports seems poised to feature the outspoken commentary of Dave Portnoy, the founder of upstart outlet Barstool Sports.

Will Philadelphia Eagles Go to the White House After Super Bowl 2025 Win? Report Debunked & Latest Answer Revealed!
Image
The Philadelphia Eagles are mid-celebration after their 2025 Super Bowl win earlier this month, which means that they could be heading to the White House for a visit.

However, there are conflicting reports about whether or not the NFL team has accepted the invite – or if they’re even going.

Keep reading to find out more…

A new report reveals that the team actually has not been formally invited to the White House yet to celebrate their win.

A source told The Philadelphia Inquirer that the team has not yet received an invitation from President Donald Trump, despite an article in the U.S. Sun that claimed that the Eagles had already turned down a visit before even playing in the Super Bowl.

Outkick.com founder Clay Travis and Front Office Sports also confirmed that this was the case.

“White House source: the Philadelphia Eagles have not rejected a White House invite.

Elon Musk Briefly Changes X Handle to ‘Harry Bolz,’ CNN Anchor Mocked for Saying It On-Air

CNN is talking about Elon Musk’s “balls” again.

Anchor Dana Bash did not seem thrilled on Tuesday when mentioning how Musk — whom she called the “Disruptor in Chief” — changed his X handle to “Harry Bōlz.”.

“Elon Musk, who apparently has adopted the alias — at least he changed his social media handle — to ‘Harry Bōlz,’ tweeted this morning, ‘Democracy in America is being destroyed by judicial coup. An activist judge is not a real judge.”

Hilarious moment from CNN's Dana Bash:

Fox Corp. Acquires Red Seat Ventures, Backer of Shows Led by Megyn Kelly, Tucker Carlson
Image
Megyn Kelly, Tucker Carlson and Bill O’Reilly are going home — sort of.

Fox Corp., the backer of Fox News Channel, where all three of the aforementioned hosts led shows, is acquiring Red Seat Ventures, a digital media company that helps create content for a bevy of news personalities who have gone independent.

The move appears to be aimed at bolstering Tubi, Fox’s free, ad-supported streaming outlet. Red Seat Ventures will operate as a standalone unit of Tubi Medi Group, and Paul Cheesbrough, CEO of that operation, was named Red Seat Ventures’ chairman. Founding partners Chris Balfe and Kevin Balfe will continue to lead the business. Terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.

“From the beginning, Red Seat Ventures has had the opportunity to work with some of the most influential creators in the world to grow their new media businesses and develop their personal brands,” said Chris Balfe,...

Fox News Media has become the first broadcaster to announce a plan to simulcast the CBS News vice presidential debate when it airs next month.

The debate, scheduled to take place on Tuesday, October 1, will pit Republican Party nominee Senator J. D. Vance and Democratic Party nominee Governor Tim Walz in their only scheduled television debate of the 2024 presidential race.

As was the case with the two presidential debates hosted by CNN and ABC News earlier this year, CBS is offering other broadcasters the opportunity to simulcast its television debate. Trump Insists That He and His Weird VP Pick J.D. Vance Are ‘Not Weird’

As Democrats continue their rhetorical strategy of trash-talking Donald Trump, running mate J.D. Vance, and other “weird” and “creepy” conservative policymakers attempting to thrust the country into the dark ages, the former president has become increasingly furious at the messaging overtaking media outlets and internet memes.

During a Thursday interview with conservative radio host Clay Travis, Trump attempted to reverse the criticism and said that Democrats were “the weird ones.” He insisted, “Nobody’s ever called me weird. I’m a lot of things, but weird I’m not. And I’m upfront.

Caitlin Clark’s Probable Olympics Snub Draws Outrage From Sports Pundits
Image
The reactions to news that No. 1 WNBA draft choice and NCAA all-time scoring leader Caitlin Clark is likely not on Team USA’s squad for the Paris Olympics is mostly drawing outrage from fans and pundits.

The popular Indiana Fever rookie is apparently not going to be on the team, according to several reports. She has an outside shot if someone gets hurt between now and the start of the games.

A few lone contrarians pointed out by the time of the games, Clark will have played back to back college and pro seasons, and could stand a rest. But most lamented that the WNBA’s star attraction won’t be must-see TV at the games.

Some of the reactions:

Yet Caitlin Clark is not selected to the Team USA Women’s Basketball team heading to Paris for the Olympics?!?! All she does is grow the game, pack arenas, and set rookie records.

Fox’s sports and pop culture brand OutKick grabbed 81 million total multiplatform views during the first quarter (Q1) of 2024, according to Comscore data released this week.

The figure represented a 10 percent growth in multiplatform views on a sequential basis, the data showed.

Right-Wing Broadcaster Clay Travis Encourages NYC Trump Supporters To Get On Ex-President’s Hush Money Jury & Refuse To Convict Him
Image
Amid Donald Trump’s hush money trial, right-wing broadcaster Clay Travis sparked controversy with a tweet that urged Trump supporters in New York to engage in potentially illegal activities to support the former president.

“If you’re a Trump supporter in New York City who is a part of the jury pool, do everything you can to get seated on the jury and then refuse to convict as a matter of principle, dooming the case via hung jury,” he posted. “It’s the most patriotic thing you could possibly do.”

Travis’ suggestion quickly drew attention to potential legal implications. Lying to gain a place on a jury is a federal crime, and individuals who serve on a jury are expected to base their verdict solely on the evidence presented in the trial. Social media users quickly pointed out that Travis’s call to action was jury tampering, a felony offense.

Journalist Who First Reported Israeli Child Beheadings Says She Saw Atrocities ‘With My Own Eyes’ (Video)
Clay Travis
The TV news correspondent whose description of decapitated infants and other atrocities from the Hamas attack on southern Israel went instantly viral pushed back Wednesday against questions around her reporting, saying she witnessed the atrocities “with my own eyes” and calling the reflexive doubt “sickening.”

Nicole Zedek was on the ground early this week for i24NEWS, an international 24-hour news television channel based in Tel Aviv. Her reports describing beheaded babies and children were immediately shared and widely discussed around the globe — including scrutiny and outright doubt, which she addressed Wednesday during an appearance on “The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show.”

Zedek said she was grateful at first that her reporting had spread so quickly, “because people need to see those images and need to hear exactly what’s happening here on the ground in Israel.”

“I witnessed some of those scenes with my own eyes as we were walking through this community,...

Swift was spotted enthusiastically cheering on Kelce from a private box at Arrowhead Stadium, in the company of Kelce’s mother, Donna. Hot New Republican Idea: Put Rfk Jr. in the Cabinet

Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis is talking up the prospect of Democrat and Joe Biden rival Robert Kennedy, Jr., serving in his administration.

In a new interview with right-wing commentator Clay Travis, DeSantis was asked whether he’d consider the anti-vax conspiracy theorist Kennedy as a running mate. DeSantis, who has campaigned vigorously (and fecklessly) to appeal to vaccine skeptics, downplayed that idea, arguing that the Democrat was “averse to our base” on 70 percent of the issues.

CNN Anchor Poppy Harlow Storms Off Set After Sexist Comments By Don Lemon
Image
Don Lemon made sexist comments about former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R) on Thursday that enraged his co-anchors that Poppy Harlow left the set. Kaitlan Collins followed Harlow off the set and into the bathroom.

Tension has been building between the three for several months.

The controversy began with a proposal Haley made in her presidential announcement speech about instituting a mental company test for politicians over the age of 75.

“This whole talk about age makes me uncomfortable,” Lemon said. “I think it’s the wrong road to go down. She says people, you know, politicians are suddenly not in their prime. Nikki Haley isn’t in her prime.”

Lemon continued, “A woman is considered to be in their prime in [their] the 20s and 30s and maybe 40s.”

Harlow immediately called him out, saying, “What are you talking about, wait … Prime for what?”

Lemon then attempted to backtrack. “That’s not according to me,...

Former Marine Resigns as July 4 Parade Grand Marshal After Right-Wing Texas Radio Host Targeted Her Family
Tucker Carlson
A former Marine and pro soccer player has pulled out of grand marshal duties for a July 4 parade in Friendswood, Texas, after a conservative Houston radio-show host targeted her online with a Twitter post featuring a photo of her son.

Haley Carter and her family received physical threats of violence as the apparent result of Jesse Kelly’s tweet, according to a statement by the suburban Houston city. The tweet falsely suggested Carter was a Communist, criticized her advocacy against gun violence and referred to Friendswood as a conservative “blood red city.”

“She’s a gun-grabber. She’s into drag. She’s into trans activism,” the tweet read from Kelly, who is a periodic guest on Tucker Carlson’s primetime Fox News show and hosts a nationally syndicated radio program. The tweet also featured a photo of Carter’s son, screengrabbed from a social media post.

Green Bay Packers Qb Aaron Rodgers Calls Mvp Voter “An Absolute Bum” For Considering His Vaccination Status
Image
Aaron Rodgers had an answer today on a most valuable player voter, and he didn’t state it in the form of a question.

The former Jeopardy! host and current Green Bay Packers quarterback called out Chicago-area radio interviewer/newsletter editor Hub Arkush, who refused to vote for Rodgers as NFL Mvp because he’s unvaccinated.

Rodgers said during a Wednesday press conference that Arkush’s controversial stance made him an “absolute bum.”

The AP has presented an award recognizing the NFL’s top player since the 1957 season. Arkush is one of 50 people the Associated Press allows to vote for league Mvp. Arkush said he didn’t vote for Rodgers because the quarterback is a “bad guy” and one of the “biggest jerks in football.”

“I don’t think you can be the biggest jerk in the league and punish your team and your organization and your fan base the...

LeBron James Hits Back At Opponent’s Sneaky Sneaker Criticism Of James, His Ties To Nike & Nike’s Ties To China
Image
Every Lakers-Celtics game draws attention, but Friday night’s matchup in Td Garden was under an even bigger spotlight than usual.

For one thing, it was the first night back for the Lakers’ LeBron James after a 10-game absence due to injury.

For another, Celtics backup center Enis Kanter called the Lakers star out on game day for reported worker abuses at Nike factories in China. James has a lifetime contract with Nike and the shoe giant also recently bought a piece of the NBA legend’s SpringHill Company.

“Money over Morals for the ‘King,’ wrote Kanter on Twitter. “Sad & disgusting how these athletes pretend they care about social justice…They really do ‘shut up & dribble’ when Big Boss...

Naomi Osaka Calls Out Megyn Kelly for Criticizing Her Magazine Covers
Megyn Kelly in Megyn Kelly Presents (2016)
Naomi Osaka is setting the record straight on her recent press coverage after being criticized by Megyn Kelly. On July 19, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debuted its 2021 issue with Megan Thee Stallion, Leyna Bloom and the tennis star on its covers. "First Haitian and Japanese woman on the cover," Osaka tweeted along with the photos. Shortly after, conservative sports analyst Clay Travis tweeted his reaction to Osaka's cover, which was released about two months after she decided not to speak to the media at the French Open to prioritize her mental health. "Since saying she's too introverted to talk to the media after tennis matches,"...

Naomi Osaka Hits Back at Megyn Kelly Over Pre-Olympic Media Blitz: ‘Do Better’
Megyn Kelly in Megyn Kelly Presents (2016)
Tennis star Naomi Osaka hit back at criticism from Megyn Kelly on Monday, telling the podcaster to “do better.”

It all started when conservative radio host Clay Travis tweeted, “Since saying she’s too introverted to talk to the media after tennis matches, Naomi Osaka has launched a reality show, a Barbie, and now is on the cover of the Si swimsuit issue.”

Kelly weighed in next, writing, “Let’s not forget the cover of (& interview in) Vogue Japan and Time Mag!”

Osaka — who has been speaking out about her mental health struggles recently and withdrew from the French Open and Wimbledon after saying she did not want to speak to press because it made her anxious — replied to the former Fox News and NBC News host with her own tweet.

“Seeing as you’re a journalist I would’ve assumed you would take the time to research what the lead times are for magazines,...

Rush Limbaugh’s Radio Replacements, Clay Travis And Buck Sexton, Are Confirmed By Syndicator Premiere Networks
Image
Clay Travis and Buck Sexton have been confirmed as the permanent replacements for longtime conservative talk radio fixture Rush Limbaugh.

The duo will take over the daytime slot June 21, with plans to preserve it as a bastion of right-wing talk, albeit from a younger perspective. The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show, syndicated by iHeartMedia’s Premiere Networks, will air from noon to 3 p.m. Et on hundreds of radio stations across the country.

Limbaugh died in February at age 70, after wielding considerable influence in conservative circles for decades. Gaining traction during the presidency of Bill Clinton, he pioneered a brand of talk radio that proved enormously lucrative but also contributed to the political divisions in the U.S. Former President Donald Trump joined a number of Republicans in paying tribute to Limbaugh upon his death, though some outside the conservative establishment did not mourn his loss.

Travis, 42, founded Outkick Media,...

Fox To Acquire Sports Brand Outkick Media, Which Gained Early Attention By Attacking ESPN
Image
Outkick Media, a sports-focused digital media brand that gained attention in the years after its founding in 2008 by relentlessly attacking ESPN, is being acquired by Fox Corp.

Lachlan Murdoch, CEO of Fox, on Fox’s earnings call with Wall Street analysts described the deal as a fit with Fox’s ongoing push into sports wagering. He called Outkick a “leading operator” in sports news and opinion content and a “unique and special voice and one that aligns with the Fox audience rather well.”

Outkick has an exclusive marketing agreement with FanDuel, which is also a partner with Fox, and is a “significant source” of wagering referrals, a press release said.

Financial terms for the deal were not disclosed.

Founded as Outkick the Coverage by lawyer and online sportswriter Clay Travis, Outkick established itself with college football coverage. It went on to gain wider attention and readership by attacking ESPN.

Fox Buys Clay Travis’ ‘Outkick’ Sports-News Site
Image
After making a business in delivering news with a conservative point of view, Fox Corporation is looking to do the same with sports.

The company has purchased Outkick, the conservative-leaning sports-news site founded by entrepreneur and online personality Clay Travis.

The acquisition was unveiled by Lachlan Murdoch, the company’s CEO, during a call with investors on Wednesday. Financial terms were not disclosed. Outkick, said Murdoch, is a leader “in sports news, and more critically, sports opinion,” and is likely to align with Fox’s core audience.

Travis, a former attorney, founded the site as an extension of his work doing sports columns for CBS, Deadspin and FanHouse. He is known for outspoken, even flip, commentary, and many people who are not close followers may best know him from a CNN appearance in which he was taken off the air by anchor Brooke Baldwin after he made references to female anatomy.

Cousin Sal on Sports Gambling: ‘You Can Either Shame Everybody Who Is Involved or Embrace It’
Clay Travis
Against all odds — which is also the name of his podcast on the Ringer Podcast Network — Cousin Sal Iacono has made the leap from the writer’s room on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” (hosted by his famous cousin) to the host’s seat.

In August, Iacono was named as one of the hosts of FS1’s new sports gambling show “Lock It In.” He’s joined by co-hosts Clay Travis of “Outkick the Coverage,” odds maker Todd Fuhrman and Rachel Bonnetta. For someone who has many, many years of experience with sports gambling (he has appeared on longtime pal Bill Simmons’ podcast every Monday for more than a decade to guess the NFL lines) and in the TV world, the move in front of the camera has been a comfortable fit, especially on a topic he knows well.

“Charlie Dixon from Fox wanted to start this show,” Iacono recalls of the...

Steve Harvey ESPN Remarks Draw Fire From Conservative Sports Analyst
Steve Harvey
Talk and game show host Steve Harvey twice referred to the Golden State Warriors as “gorillas” in a conversation with ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith on Wednesday during an NBA championship pre-cast.

Harvey made the remarks when asked whether his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers could do anything to derail the Warriors, who are up 3 games to none in the best-of-seven championship series. So far, there has been little uproar over the comments.

Harvey twice used the “gorillas” description when talking about how the Warriors have dominated. “You can’t stop them,” he said. “You gotta outscore them. You can’t stop all them boys. They’ve got too many gorillas on the team. They coming to play, man. They got 800-pound gorillas on their team.”

Fox college football analyst Clay Travis, who founded the outkickthecoverage website, is one person who has noticed the silence regarding the remarks, commenting on them in two separate tweets.
