Directed and written by Chad Archibald (Bite) and co-written by Jayme Laforest, I’ll Take Your Dead see’s us follow a guy named William who disposes of dead bodies on his farm, bodies that were victims of gang related murder in the city. When a woman’s body is dropped off by one of these seedy looking gang-bangers for William to get rid of, he soon realises that the woman isn’t actually dead, and decides to help her and keep her against her will, until he can fathom what his next step should be. The situation gets worse for William when the attempted murderers of the woman find out that she’s still alive, and try to put her out for good.

This morning the Canadian Screen Awards announced their 2017 nominations, recognizing the best of last year's Canadian films.

The awards are given out by the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television. This year's nominees boast a diverse line up of films that tell stories not just in English and French, but also Mandarin, Atikamekw and Inuktiut.

The most high-profile of the bunch would have to be Xavier Dolan's It's Only the End of the World, which is a likely contender at the Oscars this year in the Best Foreign Language Film category. It made the shortlist of nine films that will be considered at the Oscars, which also includes Germany's Toni Erdmann and Chile's Neruda.

Netflix has released a creepy new trailer for its upcoming Michael McGowan series Between. The Canadian thriller stars iCarly‘s Jennette McCurdy as one of a group left behind by a mysterious plague that has killed everyone over the age of 21 in the tiny town of Pretty Lake. The youth are quarantined by the government and forced to redefine their society in order to survive.

The cast also includes Jesse Carere, Ryan Allen, Justin Kelly, Krystal Nausbaum, Brooke Palsson, Shailyn Pierre Dixon, Kyle Mac, Jim Watson, Wesley Morgan, Michael Reventar, Jordan Todosey, Sarah Podemski, Jack Murray, and Shailene Garnett. The show is produced by Don Caromdy Television and Mulmur Feed Co. in association with Elevation Pictures Corp.

Breaking its pattern of releasing an entire series at once, Netflix will dole out Between‘s six one-hour episodes weekly beginning at 11:30 p.m. Et on May 21. In Canada, the show will premiere on May 21 at 8 p.

This week, The Flash goes up against Farooq (guest star Michael Reventar), a metahuman who must harness electricity in order to stay alive. During their battle, Farooq attacks The Flash and siphons all his powers. Meanwhile, Tockman leads a coup inside the Central City police department and takes several people hostage, including Joe and Iris.

With great power comes great responsibility. We’ve heard it time and time again, and while many superhero stories emphasize the burden of that responsibility, “Power Outage” takes a very different approach. This week, Barry admits that he loves being The Flash. We see it early on in the episode, when Barry uses his super-speed to cut through a lineup at a coffee shop, than later on when he laughs in...

Often, in superhero fare, fans have to wait for a sequel or a second season to feature two big bad villains in the same showing. The Flash decided to change that up tonight by bringing two antagonists front and center, and allowing them to cause havoc on two separate fronts. The interesting thing with "Power Outage" was that the writers didn't let the title hero save the day in both places (even though his speed could have let him do so), choosing instead to let the not-so-helpless non-metahumans take care of their own problems. Perhaps the more interesting thing is that the biggest villain isn't waiting in the wings, he's hiding in plain sight and biding his time. And the most interesting thing is how The CW managed to take a series about a guy who runs really fast and quickly turn it into one of the most entertaining hours on television right now.

You never know what you have until it’s gone.

Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) is about to get a harsh dose of reality on the latest installment of The Flash. We're approaching the much talked about "Arrow"/"Flash" crossover event on December 2nd, but before that the superhero series has three more new episodes to air.
