Long out-of-print cult classic Freaked will be released on 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray on November 5 via Australia’s Umbella Entertainment in collaboration with Drafthouse Films.

The 1993 black comedy has been newly restored in 4K with Dolby Vision and 5.1 surround sound and 2.0 stereo audio options.

In addition to the theatrical cut, the three-disc set includes a previously unreleased workprint along with a rehearsal version of the film.

Don’t F*** in the Woods director Shawn Burkett will next helm the supernatural home invasion thriller The Devil You Know.

In 1983, Jacob Allen Shepherd violently took the lives of his entire family in a secluded cabin while performing an occult ritual. After the brutal slayings, he ends his own life, believing the ritual will grant him supernatural powers. The horrific incident sends shock-waves through the nation, igniting a morbid fascination that leads to the birth of a dangerous cult known as The Flock.

This October is a Massive month for horror movies on physical media.

The studios and physical media labels tend to save some of their best stuff for spooky season, and this year is no exception. While it may not be Friday, there is still plenty to celebrate this Tuesday the 13th, as we prepare to head back to Camp Crystal Lake with Scream Factory’s impressive Friday the 13th Collection, which brings together all the films from the original franchise, as well as the remake and Freddy vs. Jason as well. Scream Factory also put together a Blu-ray release of one of the most seminal films from my childhood this week—Terror in the Aisles—and they even are giving Motel Hell the Steelbook treatment on Tuesday as well.

Stephen King films can be a mixed bag. For every really good film adaptation (Carrie; The Shining; Misery) there’s a bad one (Maximum Overdrive; Graveyard Shift; The Dark Tower). There are also a whole slew of Stephen King films that fall somewhere in the middle. I think Children of the Corn is one of the films that falls squarely in the middle of the pack.

There are some real strengths in the film. It has some genuine star quality, with soon-to-be action star Linda Hamilton (The Terminator) and TV heartthrob Peter Horton (Thirtysomething) starring as married couple Burt and Vicky, who become stranded in a town filled only with murderous, brainwashed children. The children are led by Isaac (John Franklin), who has a direct connection with an evil entity the children worship called He Who Walks Behind the Rows, and Malachai (Courtney Gains), Isaac’s mean-spirited enforcer.

Happy October, gang! With the Halloween season now officially underway, we have an incredible day of horror and sci-fi home entertainment releases to enjoy. Arrow Video has put together three stunning special edition sets for Children of the Corn, Don’t Torture A Duckling, and The Suspicious Death of A Minor, but we also have several other modern cult titles debuting as well, including Popcorn, 976-evil, and The Hidden.

For all you Charles Lee Ray enthusiasts out there, Cult of Chucky and the Chucky: Complete 7-Movie Collection both come home on Tuesday, and Scream Factory is also releasing the recent indie horror thriller Jackals on Blu-ray.

Other notable home entertainment titles bowing on October 3rd include American Horror Story: Roanoke, A Ghost Story, Haunters: The Art of the Scare, Little Shop of Horrors: The Director’s Cut, iZombie: The Complete Third Season, and Vampyr: Special Edition.

This news blast, also included a screenshot comarison, pitting the old bootleg edition of the Producer’s Cut of Halloween 6, against the new HD transfer. Due out on September 23rd, the 15-disc collection includes all of the Halloween movies together for the first time, including the rare producer’s cut of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers. The night of film begins at 10:30 p.m. and will be hosted by a man that lives and breathes horror, Justin Beahm.

A new indie flick is on its way from director Jordan Pacheco entitled Dead Bounty featuring the first "unmasked" Michael Myers, Tony Moran, and we have your first look and more cold off of the slab! Dig it!

While on the search for a fleeing felon, Dead Bounty (directed by Jordan Pacheco) follows a group of bounty hunters, lead by 'Bosk' (Tony Moran) and 'Henry' (Timothy Patrick Quill), who head into a vast New England forest in hopes to capture a dangerous man. Closing in on their quarry, the group encounters more than just a murderer on the run when they are confronted with a seemingly endless horde of the undead. With no shelter, no help and no end to the carnage, survival seems hopeless.
