Wolf King is an animated epic fantasy-adventure series based on Curtis Jobling’s Wereworld novels. Released on March 20, 2025, the series is available for streaming on Netflix. It follows the journey of Drew Ferran, a sixteen-year-old who discovers he’s the last in a line of werewolves and rightful heir to the throne. Directed by Tom Brass and produced by Angelo Abela, Tim Compton, Kate Little, Claire Poyser, and Curtis Jobling, the series is brought to life by Jellyfish Pictures. Wolf King features a talented voice cast and consists of eight episodes.

Plot Overview:

Based on Curtis Jobling’s Wereworld books, Wolf King is an epic fantasy adventure series that follows Drew Ferran, a young man who discovers he is the last of an ancient line of Werewolves and the rightful—though reluctant—heir to a realm ruled by Werelords. Probably the most popular iteration of this trope was seen in William Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark. "So this is the great wolf everyone's talking about?" Netflix has unveiled an official trailer for an animated series called Wolf King, streaming this March on Netflix. This is adapted from a series of YA books titled Wereworld, which begins with Book 1 - Rise of the Wolf. Imagine a world ruled by Werelords – men and women who can shift at will into bears, lions, and serpents. When Drew suddenly discovers he's not only a werewolf but the long-lost heir to the murdered Wolf King's throne, he must use his wits and his newfound powers to survive in a land suddenly full of enemies. Drew's the only one who can unite the kingdom in a massive uprising against its tyrant ruler, Leopold the Lion. A young commoner comes of age and learns he's the last of a long line of Werewolves — and heir to the throne — in this epic new fantasy adventure series.

Actress Georgia Lock reflected on her time on the set of the film Strictly Confidential in her new uInterview.

Directed by Damian Hurley, Strictly Confidential follows a young woman who can’t accept that her best friend killed herself as she journies back to a Caribbean island to investigate her death.

“Honestly, it was an honor,” she told uInterview founder Erik Meers of working with Hurley. “This film is special to me for a lot of reasons, but I met Damian through this project, and he’s become a very close friend of mine. I’m extremely fond of him.”

“What I love about how he directs is that you can see he is thinking about how beautiful the shot is going to look,” she continued. “He’s considered that. I feel like you could pause this movie anywhere, and it would be a beautiful scene that you could paint.

Actress Elizabeth Hurley has working in the industry since the late 1980s. Initially gaining notoriety as High Grant’s girlfriend, Hurley soon found herself in the spotlight with movies like Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997) and Bedazzled (2000). She was also seen in TV shows like Gossip Girl and The Royals.

Hurley is mother to model and actor Damian Hurley, whom she had after a brief affair with American businessman Steve Bing.

Her son, 22, is now dipping his toes in the directing pool with his debut movie, Strictly Confidential, starring his mother in the lead. The movie was released earlier this month, but it was years before now, that the Hollywood virus entered Damian.

The other is the fact that the new thriller was written and directed by Damian Hurley and stars his mum, Elizabeth Hurley. Georgia Lock (Evermoor), Lauren McQueen, Freddie Thorp, and Genevieve Gaunt round out the attractive young cast in this soapy, sexy Caribbean-set outing from Lionsgate.

Director Damian Hurley didn't trust audiences to read between the lines in Strictly Confidential. The film's main crime is having nothing to say, with dull twists and off-putting eroticism. Strictly Confidential picks up steam in its final act, but Hurley still has a ways to go as a filmmaker.

As the directional debut from model-turned-filmmaker Damian Hurley, Strictly Confidential is a poorly acted erotic thriller that enters the realm of the bizarrely Freudian with the realization that it stars his own mother. A lifeless story of a young woman drawn into a world of conspiracy, lies, and hidden secrets, Strictly Confidential feels like its script was generated by AI, the actors were reading off a teleprompter, and when they weren’t sure what their lines were, they decided to kiss each other. Thankfully, at just 21 years old, Hurley, who also wrote the screenplay, has plenty of time to improve.

“Some secrets are meant to stay buried” says the ad line for “Strictly Confidential.” But you’d need a sizable underground bunker to contain all the effortfully shocking revelations sprung in this very silly sudser, which starts out looking like an erotic thriller-mystery, then descends into a series of flashback-laden explication monologues more apt for “Dynasty” than Agatha Christie.

Damian Hurley’s directorial feature, with famous mum Elizabeth top-billed and producing, provides several hardbodied younger performers opportunity to model clothes and approximate recognizable human emotions on the coastline of tax haven island nation Saint Kitts and Nevis. But what was likely an enjoyable working Caribbean vacation for cast and crew proves somewhat labored for viewers. Nonetheless, watched in the right spirit, with appropriate libations, it could prove quite entertaining … if not in the way presumably intended. Lionsgate is releasing to U.S. theaters, digital and on-demand platforms on April 5.

The Disney Channel is preparing a supernatural animated series featuring the voice talents of Strictly Come Dancing’s Craig Revel-Horwood, comedian Rufus Hound and young British actress Georgia Lock.

The kids’ broadcasters will roll out Sadie Sparks in 2019. The show follows the enchanting story of a 14-year-old girl, Sadie, who finds out she has magical abilities and becomes a wizard-in-training, with the guidance and mentorship from a very old and very grumpy rabbit, Gilbert, who is sent to the human world from the Magical Realm to train Sadie and harness her volatile magical skills.

Sadie must navigate the challenging world of high school, juggling exams whilst training to be a wizard. The show combines two animation styles, the Magical Realm appears in 2D and the human world in CGI. Sadie and Gilbert hop between the two worlds using their magician’s hat portal.

The show is a spin-off of the Evermoor mini-series, which aired on Disney Channel UK; the Us Disney Channel; Canada's Family Channel; and Disney Channel Australia and New Zealand, in 2014. The Evermoor Chronicles is the first Disney series shot entirely in UK. The series focuses on Tara Crossley and her family, who have just moved to the village of Evermoor. Australian actress and singer, Naomi Sequeira stars as 14 year old Tara Crossley, who moves from the States to start a new life in the spooky Evermoor Manor, where she discovers a magical tapestry and appears to have powers to predict the future. 19 year old Naomi was discovered by Disney Channel Australia during a talent search.

17 year old Georgia Lock (represented by Curtis Brown) from Buckinghamshire, well known to Cbbc audiences as Sadie J and a presenter on Cbbc's Friday Download, will play the hot-tempered Bella.

George Sear from Leigh on Sea, also a presenter on Cbbc's Friday Download, will play Seb. George trained with Sandra Singer in Westcliff, Essex.

Earlier this month rising Welsh star Aneurin Barnard was cast in the title role of Mariah Mundi in Mariah Mundi and The Midas Box the film adaptation of G.P Taylor's novel, and the first film in a potential franchise.

Joining him, will be 17 year old Mella Carron from Dublin as Sacha, a young Irish maid at the Prince Regent Hotel, who concerned that strange things are happening and that children from the area are disappearing, teams up with Mariah to help him find out the truth.

Mella attends the Independent Theatre Workshop in Dublin (of which Game of Thrones' Jack Gleeson is also a graduate). She has had previous small screen roles in Death of a Superhero and Camelot.

Newcomer Xavier Atkins from Buckinghamshire stars as Mariah Mundi's young brother Felix. Xavier attends the Peploe-Williams Academy, the same theatre school as Sadie Jones star Georgia Lock.
