Can you believe that Christmas is less than a week away? Five new horror movies come down the chimney this week in celebration, including the at-home debut of a recent box office hit.

Based on his fake trailer from the Grindhouse Double Feature (2007), Eli Roth’s Thanksgiving hit theaters last month, and it was surprise-released on PVOD at home yesterday.

You can rent the film for $19.99 or purchase it (digitally) for $24.99.

In Thanksgiving, “After a Black Friday riot ends in tragedy, a mysterious Thanksgiving-inspired killer terrorizes Plymouth, Massachusetts – the birthplace of the infamous holiday.”

The cast for the feature length slasher movie includes Patrick Dempsey, Addison Rae, Jalen Thomas Brooks (“Walker”), Milo Manheim (Zombies), Nell Verlaque (“Big Shot”), Gina Gershon (“Chucky”), Tim Dillon and Rick Hoffman (Hostel).

Roth wrote the script with Jeff Rendell.

On the surface, Jeong Yong-ki's new South Korean horror “The Ghost Station” seems to be your average entry in the genre, following a similar path as many other recent releases from the country. However, there's a bit more going on beyond the scenes of this one, co-writing a solid story with two of the masters of the J-Horror movement in Koji Shiraishi who was responsible for films like “Noroi: The Curse,” “Grotesque,” and “Occult” among numerous others in a prolific career. As well, screenwriter Hiroshi Takahashi, who penned the original “Ringu” and several of the sequels, teamed up with director Jeong to base their new film on a popular webtoon that incorporates plenty of J-Horror ideas and concepts into a high-quality South Korean feature. The end result is this wholly enjoyable if overly familiar genre effort, coming to Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital from WellGO USA on December 19.

"Something is lurking below the city." Well Go USA is releasing this Korean mystery horror thriller in the US on video starting soon this month. The Ghost Station, directed by Jeong Yong-ki, originally premiered at the 2022 Busan Film Festival last year. It already opened in Korea earlier in 2023, along with a few other countries in Asia, and an international premiere at FrightFest. What is it about? A public service worker at Oksu Station witnesses a shocking event & recruits his friend to help uncover the truth behind the station's mysterious happenings. The story follows Kim Na-yeong (played by Kim Bo-ra), a journalist struggling to craft any quality stories for a clickbait-infested gossip site. Upon hearing from her friend about a string of supposed suicides connected to Oksu subway station, Na-yeong begins to pull at a frightening thread that unravels a mystery far more insidious than initially expected...
