India’s Yash Raj Films (Yrf) has set a release date for their hard-hitting female cop franchise film “Mardaani 3,” starring Rani Mukerji as the fearless police officer Shivani Shivaji Roy.

The film is directed by Abhiraj Minawala, associate director on “War 2,” who came to the project after working on Yrf productions including “Band Baaja Baraat,” “Sultan” and “Tiger 3.” The script is by Aayush Gupta, fresh off the international success of Netflix’s “The Railway Men,” produced by Yrf, which marked his streaming debut as a screenplay writer.

On the release anniversary of Mardaani 2, Yrf officially announced that it is making Mardaani 3 with the brilliant Rani Mukerji again essaying the character of a daredevil cop Shivani Shivaji Roy.

India’s Yash Raj Films (Yrf) has tapped fresh talent to helm the third installment of its successful “Mardaani” franchise, with Bollywood star Rani Mukerji returning as police officer Shivani Shivaji Roy. “The Railway Men” scribe Aayush Gupta will pen the screenplay, while Abhiraj Minawala is set to direct.

Production is scheduled to begin in April, marking the franchise’s first entry since 2019’s “Mardaani 2.” The announcement comes from Yrf head Aditya Chopra, who has positioned Gupta and Minawala as rising talents within the studio’s creative ranks.

The trailer of the Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain starrer, Loveratri has just come out and it is every bit as colourful as promised.

The story follows the journey of Sushrut (Aayush Sharma), a happy go lucky boy from Baroda in Gujarat, India, who meets a beautiful Nri girl (Warina Hussain). The two hit it off and a fairy tale romance develops. However, trouble arise when it comes to light that she to go abroad again after Navratri festival is over. The rest of the trailer shows Sushrut trying to woo his ladylove.

Loveratri is a simple love story against the vibrant backdrop of Navratri. Moreover, brothers in law, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan also play a small cameo in the film.

Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, produced by Salman Khan Films, Loveratri is set to release in cinemas on 5thOctober 2018.

Abhiraj Minawala is a former assistant director who is now helming Salman Khan Films ambitious production Loveratri, starring Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain. Minawala has previously assisted on films like Band Baaja Baraat, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Fan and Sultan.

His directorial debut Loveratri is set against the backdrop of Gujarat and the onscreen couple’s love story unfolds over the span of the festival of Navratri. Filmed extensively in the British capital, the film is set to release in UK cinemas on 5th October 2018.

Salman Khan has finalised a leading lady for his upcoming project ‘Loveratri’ produced by his banner, Salman Khan Films. The film will have his brother in law Aayush Sharma in lead role. Just recently he had officially announced the movie. Aayush Sharma’s directorial venture Loveratri is the story of a Gujarati boy who falls in love with a girl while dancing the garba during the colourful festive season of Navratri. The shoot will kick off in Baroda and Ahmedabad in February 2018. For the role, Aayush Sharma is undergoing language training as director Abhiraj Minawala doesn’t want him to get the accent wrong. Moreover, he’s taking dance classes as well as he needs to master garba. Once he perfects the move, Abhiraj will start filming.
