Watsoncreator and executive producer Craig Sweeny opens up about bringing back Randall Park as Moriarty in Season 2.
Speaking to TV Insider, Sweeny said "I definitely wouldn't rule it out" regarding a potential return of Park's Moriarty in the upcoming second season of Watson. "I mean, definitely the act will haunt Watson, and you’d be a fool to say, I would never allow Randall Park to act in our show. I mean, I would love to see him again," Sweeny added.
Sweeny went on to discuss Park's role in the series, how it was specifically built to tie back into the overarching story of Watson Season 1, and how being unable to save the villain from a lethal dose of poison in the season finale has impacted Morris Chestnut's titular doctor. "I believe that Watson really approached that from a perspective of doing the least harm and even though...

After breaking ground with his 2021 movie “Casablanca Beats,” which marked the first Moroccan feature to vie for a Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, filmmaker Nabil Ayouch (“Much Loved”) is achieving a new milestone with his latest movie, “Everybody Loves Touda,” which premiered at Cannes Premiere and is now eligible in all categories at the Oscars. It’s the first Moroccan film to do so.
“Everybody Loves Touda,” penned by Ayouch and his wife, the actor-turned-filmmaker Maryam Touzani (“The Blue Caftan”), tells the story a young poetess and singer known as a Shaeirat (Nisrin Erradi), who raises her deaf-mute son in a small Moroccan village. Hoping to give her son a better future and more opportunities in life, she moves with him to Casablanca where she faces setbacks. Erradi, who previously starred in Touzani’s feature debut, “Adam,” prepared for the part in “Everybody Loves Touda” for a...

Abstract art plays a featured role in the first few episodes of Hulu’s new heist drama Culprits. A Rothko exhibit is the site of an early meeting between two aspiring criminals, and the artist’s canvases are a topic of conversation. A later episode walks through a full room of striking works, a Mondrian here, a Kandinsky there. Nobody discusses the paintings this time, but London is full of places to hold meetings, so this interest on series creator J Blakeson’s part feels more than incidental.
Like many things in Culprits, however, the eye for 20th-century masterworks ends up being more of a red herring than a fascination with substance, a burst of color or geometry to attract the eye more than a point of thematic resonance. Despite a fragmented narrative and a couple of interesting characters, very little in Culprits feels all that modern and nothing so much as flirts with abstraction.

Culprits is a fun and engaging TV show with action, heart, and a compelling story. The cast is great, with old and new faces bringing the vibrant criminal underworld to life. The action may not blow you away, but it is above average with real stakes and subtle visual effects.
Culprits is engaging TV that knows how to please. Hulu’s latest entry has action, heart, and a compelling story. J Blakeson’s (I Care A Lot) mystery heist can be melodramatic at times and the dialogue leaves a lot to be desired, but none of that gets in the way of it being plain old fun. The cast is great all around, with old and new faces building out the world. Meanwhile, the cinematography, music, and costume design put the finishing touches on a vibrant criminal underworld.

Culprits is a TV series adaptation of the anthology novel, focusing on a family man named Joe who tries to protect his new life from being destroyed by his criminal past. The show is created and helmed by J Blakeson, known for his work on films like I Care A Lot and The Disappearance of Alice Creed. Culprits follows a non-linear narrative structure, with time jumps between "before" and "after" the heist, adding mystery and tension to the storytelling.
Inspired by the anthology novel, Culprits will be available to stream on Hulu beginning December 8. The story takes place after the events of a high-stakes heist and follows family man Joe Petrus as he attempts to nurture his relationship with his fiancé and provide a loving environment for their two children. However, Joe's dark secrets are at risk of being exposed and his criminal activity threatens to destroy the new life that he built for himself.

Series creator J Blakeson enjoys heist films but wanted to do something different with the subgenre. The trailer for Hulu’s Culprits shows that he did just that, setting the story years after a heist when the robbers have put their former criminal ways behind them and have established new lives.
“Heists have been done so many times, the great thing about this is that you can sort of play in that sandbox with the tropes and the expectations and the iconography of the heist, but actually tell a story, which is much more about these people who are dealing with this bad thing they’ve done and the consequences of their actions and trying to escape who they were and are trying to become a person who they’d like to be,” said Blakeson in an interview with Variety.
