Having exploded onto the scene with his original superb short, Roid Rage – a grindhouse style indie flick about a guy with killer hemorrhoids which he wrote, shot, directed, edited and scored the film himself – Ryan Lightbourn has got behind the camera for his feature-film debut with vicious creature feature Sleepwalkers, shot in the Floridian bayous and swamps and starring Ansley Gordon, Amanda Phillips, Tommy Goodman, Ben Owen, and Ben Evans.

Sleepwalkers tells the story of five college students as they attempt to enjoy a festive spring break getaway, only to encounter a deadly, nocturnal presence. As horrific events unfold, the group joins forces with a local convenience store owner and a prison escapee. Nighttime approaches and they must set aside their differences and use their wits to survive.

Ryan Lightbourn ("Roid Rage") continues to move his creature feature Sleepwalkers through production. This film was shot in the local Floridian bayous and swamps. And recently, Lightbourn released a second, longer trailer for this film. The clip shows more of the film's practical effects and characters, in peril. As well, Sleepwalkers stars Ansley Gordon, Amanda Phillips, Tommy Goodman, Ben Owen and Ben Evans. The film's second trailer and two new stills are hosted here. In the story, several Spring Breakers find a nightcrawler, in the local everglades. The partying is replaced by blood curdling screams. Now, these friends will have to team up with a group of locals, to take down one of Florida's most dangerous myths. Will anyone survive? As an update, Lightbourn is in the post-production phase of filming. Sleepwalkers will be completed shortly. Then, the film will begin a film festival run and a release date will be announced shortly.

Now, Lightbourn has set his sights on completing his first feature and it is titled Sleepwalkers. Sleepwalkers takes place on Spring Break in the bayous of Florida's deep woods. Truly a creature feature, Sleepwalkers stars Ansley Gordon, Amanda Phillips, horror movie veteran J. Larose (Insidious 2) and Dale DaBone. Fans of horror can view the film's first trailer here. The story for Sleepwalkers involves five friends on vacation. They choose the wrong place to go camping. Soon, creatures emerge from Florida's murky swamps and these monsters turn: Kyle (Ben Evans), Kate (Gordon), Amy (Phillips), Owen (Ben Owen) and Evan (Tommy Goodman) into something hideous! Ryan Lightbourn is the director of “Roid Rage”, a film that our own Todd Rigney seemed to enjoy quite a bit. You can read his review for that inspired tale of depravity here. Lightbourn has followed up that gruesome effort with, from the looks of it, another rather bloody tale of woe in the horror “Sleepwalkers”. Check out the first trailer for the film, along with a poster and some images below. Strangely, it’s not about finding a cure for sleepwalking. Go figure.
