Zouk was ground zero for Los Angeles nightlife last weekend.

The new nightclub, located at 643 N. La Cienega Blvd. in the space formerly occupied by Nightingale, toasted its long awaited arrival with a three-night opening weekend celebration that kicked off Thursday with notable names like Marc Anthony and Zouk insiders. Zouk Los Angeles is a joint venture between Sam Nazarian’s sbe and Hui Lim’s Singaporean nightlife entity Zouk Group. Both were in the building on Thursday for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony and preview party that featured light bites and live performances like a traditional drum ritual.

The action continued Friday with a headlining performance by DJ Politik and guests like influencer and entrepreneur David Dobrik. Metro Boomin took the reins for Saturday night by jumping behind the decks for a 40-minute hip hop performance in front of a packed crowd. Just in time for summer, Diana Ross has released the party-ready jam, “Turn Up the Sunshine” — her new collaboration with Australian multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker, better known as Tame Impala. The song is slated to appear on the upcoming soundtrack for the animated film, Minions: The Rise of Gru.

The groove-laden track — written by producing superstar Jack Antonoff, Sam Dew, Patrik Berger and Kevin Parker — evokes the ebullient energy of Ross’ early solo efforts while allowing the 78-year-old superstar to showcase her vocal chops alongside playful instrumentation mixing funk, disco and psychedelic pop.

Diana Ross has dropped a new single, “I Still Believe,” along with a teaser trailer for her upcoming music video for “All Is Well.” Both tracks come off her album Thank You, out November 5th via Decca Records/Universal Music Group.

The full video for “All Is Well” will be unveiled alongside her album. The clip was directed by Amanda Demme in collaboration with the singer’s sons, Evan Ross (producer) and Ross Naess (photography). It marks her first music video in over a decade.

A concert documentary centered on Diana Ross will be released in honor of the legendary singer’s 75th birthday, and in this exclusive clip from Diana Ross: Her Life, Love and Legacy, Ross performs “I’m Coming Out” to a rain-soaked audience at New York’s Central Park.

In the clip, Ross can be seen running in tulle shawl and sequin-encrusted jumpsuit to the Central Park stage, where she arrives and gives a dynamic performance of her 1980 empowerment anthem to a record-breaking crowd. The show continued on despite a heavy thunderstorm.

Diana Ross is known for her killer vocals and legendary hits, but she is also known for her big, modern family. The singer is mom to five children from three previous relationships. In 1965, when she was still with The Supremes, Diana began dating Motown CEO Berry Gordy. They were together for several years and even had a child together, Rhonda Suzanne Silberstein, in 1971.

When Diana was two months pregnant with Rhonda, she tied the knot with music executive Robert Ellis Silberstein, who was managing her at the time. Aside from Robert raising Rhonda as his own daughter, the couple also welcomed two children of their own, Tracee Ellis Ross and Chudney Ross, in 1972 and 1975, respectively. After nearly six years of marriage, the two divorced in 1977.
