“Beverly Hills Nannies” star Kristin Lancione talks about life in the spotlight
Three weeks ago, Kristin Lancione was like most of the world. You know, those of us who go about our daily lives without being the star of our own TV show. But that changed July 11 when Beverly Hills Nannies premiered on ABC Family. Lancione conceived the show as a behind-the-scenes look at those who help well-heeled 90210 families take care of their children. Since it’s been on the air, Lancione has received a lot more attention than she was used to, not to mention a heckuva lot more Twitter followers. She dropped some tasty morsels about what sort of [...]...

‘Beverly Hills Nannies’ Premieres Tonight: Meet The Wild & Crazy Cast
HollywoodLife.com has an early look at all the diaper-changing, errand-running, baby-sitting madness! When you live in the world's most famous zip code, everything about your life is glamorous — even when you're covered in baby vomit! ABC Family's newest reality series Beverly Hills Nannies, premiering July 11 at 9 p.m., shines a spotlight on the lesser-known girls (and guys) whose responsibility it is to rear the spawn of the rich and famous. Among the show's leading ladies are: Kristin Lancione, who plans to open her own nanny agency very soon; Lucy Treadway, a "top nanny choice" for Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller (though I think she dodged a bullet there); Amanda Averill, a recent transplant to Los Angeles; Shayla Quinn, who's described as a "stickler for manners"; Amber Valdez, an aspiring TV show host; and Maggie Thorne, who might be too much of a party girl to also be a successful nanny.

'Beverly Hills Nannies': 'There's a fine line' for child caretakers of the rich and famous
We've seen how the real housewives of the rich and powerful live, but what about the hired hands who help make their lavish lifestyles possible? That's where "Beverly Hills Nannies" comes in.

The brainchild of Kristin Lancione, herself a nanny who runs her own nanny placement agency, the real-life ABC Family series -- which premieres Wednesday, July 11 -- will follow nine people who either work for or are trying to work for well-heeled families in La-la-Land.

Getting families to participate in the series was difficult, Lancione says, because there was no intent on pulling punches in the portrayals.

"There are situations where maybe a nanny thinks the family is being a little snobby or the kids are being a little bratty," she says. "We all love our families that we're with, and we're treated with respect, but there's a fine line, and sometimes we really are considered the help, and...

'Beverly Hills Nannies' is exactly like 'The Baby-sitters Club' - if Kristy and the gang could drink
ABC Family's new realty series "Beverly Hills Nannies" follows the fabulous -- and sometimes not-so-fabulous -- lives of an elite group of nannies as they take care of kids, pets and often the moms. The show may be new, but the concept sounds very familiar to us -- and probably any woman who grew up in the '80s.

"It's like 'The Baby-sitters Club,'" says Maggie, wannabe nanny and childhood friend to Queen Bee of the Nannies, Kristin, in the show's Wednesday (July 11) premiere.

"It is like 'The Baby-sitters Club,'" Kristin murmurs.

"We used to read those books when we were kids," she adds, while shoving a dog-eared copy of "Bsc #37: Dawn and the Older Boy" under a throw pillow (except not really on that last part).

And the show is just like "The Baby-sitters Club" -- except the sitters can drink and drive...
