Geoff Hall(IV)
- Director
- Writer
- Producer
Geoff Hall lived in the industrial town Hartlepool, England.
He performed street theatre and always felt most at home in the arts.
After being a mature student at Bristol Polytechnic (1987) to study art history, he thought that a career in academia was calling. This was not to be and eventually as time goes by, Geoff became a writer and arts mentor in Bristol.
In 2009 he started Handy Cloud Productions and produced three short films; his first film as writer, director and producer was "One" a period comedy about marriage, which was shown at the 168 Film Festival in Glendale, CA. The film received critical acclaim, but Geoff wanted to move away from comedy.
2012 saw the production of 'My Name Is Sorrow' a female-driven story about one woman's experience of sex trafficking. The film was released in Bristol, UK as a charity premiere, in support of Unseen UK, which helps the survivors of sex trafficking. The following year, he received an award from the Cooperative Bank Social Fund and the film was translated into Russian and released on Vimeo.
A few years later he joined the community at Stage32, where his talents have been nurtured and encouraged. Most recently this has led to the creation of a new production company, International Imaginists (i-i) and the company's first feature, "Seeing Rachel" is in development. It is a female-driven psychological thriller about human trafficking and organized crime and Sandra Correia is the Executive Producer and Ben Richards the Producer. His other projects can be seen on the i-i website.
As a writer-director-producer, Geoff is committed to the social responsibility of his project and is deeply committed to social impact entertainment.
