The official X (formerly Twitter) account for the upcoming A New Dawn anime film announced today that the Yoshitoshi Shinomiya-directed and written film has been postponed to 2026. The official website for A New Dawn , an upcoming original animation film directed by Japanese painter Yoshitoshi Shinomiya , announced two additional voice cast members today. Miyu Irino will play Sentaro Obinata, the protagonist Keitaro Obinata's older brother. Takashi Okabe will play Eitaro Obinata, Keitaro's father. Miyu Irino is known as Haku in Hayao Miyazaki's 2011 film Spirited Away and Jinta "Jintan" Yadomi in the 2011 TV anime Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day . Unlike Keitaro, who struggles to find the fantastic fireworks, and Kaoru, who leaves her hometown to seek a future in Tokyo, Sentaro works for the local city hall and is more serious.
