Avi Amon(I)

Avi Amon is a Turkish-American composer and sound artist. Avi recently composed the music for The Fisherman (dir. Zoey Martinson), which premiered at the 2024 Venice Film Festival. His score for Everything You Have His Yours (dir. Tatyana Tenenbaum) premiered at DOCNYC in 2024 is available on all streaming platforms. Additional film scores have been featured at Cannes, Disney, HBO, Hulu, Slamdance, SXSW, Tribeca Film Festival, and more.
Theater work includes music, songs, & sound design for projects with: Ars Nova, The Bushwick Starr, The Kennedy Center, New York Theatre Workshop, The Old Globe, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, PAC NYC, Page73, Signature Theater, The Public, and Waterwell. Avi is a MacDowell Fellow, in-residence at The Shed, and has received artistic support from the Jonathan Larson Grant, Berkeley Rep, The Dramatists Guild, Goodspeed, Mercury Store, New Music USA, The O'Neill, Rhinebeck, and others. Avi is the music director at the 52nd Street Project and teaches at NYU.
