Sofía Vergara’s Look Alike Sister, Sandra Vergara: How Does She Make Her Money?
Image
Sofía Vergara‘s Sandra Vergara has joined the cast of Netflix’s Selling Sunset Season 9. However, it is surprising given that the Vergara sister has little experience when it comes to real estate sales. According to RadarOnline, she obtained her California realtor license only on May 15, as per government records.

Joining the cast of the show means that Vergara is now part of the elite real estate brokers, The Oppenheim Group, who sell luxurious LA apartments in the show. The outlet also revealed that Sandra Vergara could have been cast in the Netflix show before she got her realtor’s license. While Selling Sunset is her latest gig, she earned her money from a thriving modelling and TV career.

She began modelling at the age of 24 and has appeared for reputed magazines like Maxim, Esquire, and Regard. She made her acting debut in the Peruvian drama film Days of Santiago...

After Wildfires, Local Prosecutors Crack Down on Price Gouging in Housing Market
Image
Local prosecutors say they’re cracking down on the price gouging that’s been widely reported in the media in the days after a pair of deadly wildfires swept through Altadena, the Pacific Palisades and Malibu. The blazes have destroyed, damaged or otherwise rendered uninhabitable thousands of houses — and have turned their grief-stricken, now-homeless residents into often-desperate bidders in the already superheated local housing market.

“The City Attorney’s office is evaluating approximately 650 price gouging complaints, most related to rent,” a spokesperson for Hydee Feldstein Soto tells The Hollywood Reporter.

In a statement, the newly elected Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman, who noted that his own office had yet to be presented by its law enforcement counterparts with price gouging cases, nevertheless explained that it would seek maximum punishment for such offensives, noting “these predatory actions are not just crimes — they are a direct assault on our community...

‘Selling Sunset’ Star Jason Oppenheim Exposes Landlords for Inflating Rent After L.A. Wildfires: ‘This Isn’t the Time to Be Taking Advantage’
Image
Celebrity realtor and “Selling Sunset” star Jason Oppenheim is calling out the illegal practices of price-gouging landlords.

As deadly Los Angeles wildfires continue to devastate the Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Eaton Canyon and nearby regions, leaving thousands of people displaced and frantically searching for shelter, online conversation has turned to Los Angeles landlords who are taking advantage of the emergency situation.

Oppenheim told BBC about a client of his who fell victim to price gouging, a practice that is prohibited in California if rent prices rise over 10% during a declared state of emergency. “I had a client, we sent him to a house that was asking $13,000 a month,” Oppenheim explained. “He offered $20,000 a month and he offered to pay six months upfront, and the landlord said, ‘No, I want $23,000 a month.’ There are price gouging laws in California, they’re just being ignored right now, and this isn’t the time...

‘Selling Sunset’s Jason Oppenheim Calls Out “Landlords Taking Advantage” Of Wildfires
Image
As wildfires continue to ravage Southern California, celebrity realtor Jason Oppenheim is calling attention to a shady practice.

The Selling Sunset star and Oppenheim Group boss put Los Angeles landlords on blast after one of his clients was a victim of price-gouging, which Oppenheim noted is illegal during a natural disaster.

“This is something I want to discuss because I think it should be exposed, but we’re having landlords taking advantage of the situation,” he told BBC. “I had a client, we sent him to a house that was asking $13,000 a month. He offered $20,000 a month and he offered to pay six months upfront, and the landlord said, ‘No, I want $23,000 a month.’ There are price gouging laws in California, they’re just being ignored right now, and this isn’t the time to be taking advantage of situations, and it’s also illegal to take advantage of a natural disaster.

Jason Oppenheim, star realtor of Netflix’s “Selling Sunset,” has offered free representation and to credit back any commission paid for Los Angeles residents displaced by the ongoing wildfires.

Selling Sunset's Chelsea Lazkani Missed Several Red Flags Leading To Her Marriage's Downfall

On paper, Selling Sunset's Chelsea Lazkani has the perfect life with her ex-husband Jeff Lazkani but the red flags were there.

According to ScreenRant, Jeff and Chelsea met in 2015 on a dating app and later married in August 2017. The pair has two children and looked to have the perfect life in California, but life was not as rosy as it was portrayed on her Netflix reality TV show.

Chelsea filed for divorce in March 2024, citing "irreconcilable differences." Although Chelsea didn't speak about their split at the time, it played out in season 8 of Selling Sunset, which premiered in September 2024.

Selling Sunset: Chelsea's Husband Ruined Her Life (& 9 Other Heartbreaking Show Disasters)
Image
Selling Sunset star Chelsea Lazkani has been a staple on the show since her debut in season 4, but after some serious issues with her husband Jeff Lazkani took over, many have been looking back at the heartbreak thats always been a part of the series. Throughout Selling Sunsets eight-season run, there have been several scandals, tons of heartbreak, and a near-constant stream of drama that has pulled viewers in season after season. From the very beginning, the over-the-top nature of Selling Sunset was a driving force for viewers to come back to the show each year.

Originally a vehicle for original cast member Chrishell Stause, who began working as an actor on Days Of Our Lives in 2013 before getting her real estate license, Selling Sunset has become more about the Oppenheim Group as a whole than one specific cast member. Selling Sunset: Emma Hernan Vs. Nicole Young (The Affair Rumor Drama & 7 Other Wild Catfights From The Show)
Image
When Selling Sunset star Nicole Young spread a rumor that Emma Hernan was having an affair with a married man, the glitzy reality series became more like that Netflix infidelity thriller, Marcella. All of a sudden, Emma was the femme fatale, trapped in some shady Fatal Attraction-style drama. However, Emma's not a vengeful "bunny burner." She says that Nicole knew the affair rumor was false before she talked about it on the show. This wasn't the only wild clash featured in the series - not by a long shot. These ultra-competitive realtors are always at each other's throats.

The O Group realtors seem to embrace the "law of the jungle," rather than laid-back California cool.

Sometimes, ambition brings out the worst in human beings, just like greed does. On Selling Sunset, power and cold, hard cash are the motors that drive so much rude misconduct. As real estate agents fight for listings and commissions,...

Selling Sunset: "Cowgirl Queen!": Was Alanna Gold's Pioneertown Mistake A Clout Chasing Move?
Image
Alanna Gold certainly made a splash as a new cast member on Selling Sunset season 8, but was the Pioneertown plotline all for clout? While the desert-loving maven initially seemed more down-to-earth than her fellow Oppenheim Group agents, her star quickly dimmed as Alanna's Pioneertown bragging came to light. It seemed at first that Alanna just wanted to bring the feuding agents together for a fun weekend away, but it might have been a way for her to get more online attention.

As one of the best real estate shows on television, Selling Sunset features highly fashionable and dramatic real estate agents in the Sunset Strip all working for Brett Oppenheim and Jason Oppenheim to sell luxury houses. However, Alanna might have been a producer plant to build drama and a name for herself outside the show. Ahead of Selling Sunset season 9, it's time to check out some of the signs.

Selling Sunset: Nicole Spread The Emma Hernan Affair Rumor (Signs Nicole's Jealous Of Emma)

Selling Sunset star Nicole Young has been one of the most dubious villains on the series thus far, now going against Emma Hernan and spreading rumors about her alleged affair. While Selling Sunset season 8 focused on the drama between Bre Tiesi and Chelsea Lazakni with Emma at her side, the drama thats occurred off-screen since the season ended has been juicy. Nicole, who joined the show during Selling Sunset season 6 after appearing as a guest during seasons prior, is consistently difficult to watch. Even as a top O Group agent, her time on Selling Sunset has been rough.

Image
Selling Sunset star Romain Bonnet is a handsome Frenchman who's married to Mary Bonnet, and he does seem like a gold digger sometimes. However, it could be argued that Romain really is in it for love. Since he's so hard to figure out, it's time to examine some clues that point to him being a user, as well as signs that he might not be.

On Selling Sunset season 8, the drama's explosive, thanks to Alanna Gold's Pioneertown mistake and Nicole Young's trouble-making. She spread a damaging rumor that Emma Hernan was having an affair with a married man. Alanna apologized for acting like she owned the Western town, but so far, Nicole hasn't said she's sorry. Meanwhile, Chrishell Stause is so offended by Nicole's actions that she's unwilling to film with her. That's why there won't be a reunion. As the tension rose, Romain was there in the background,...

Selling Sunset: Nicole Young Should Be Canceled (She Spread The Emma Hernan Affair Rumor)
Image
Nicole Young should get canceled after she accused her Selling Sunset co-star Emma Hernan of having an affair with a married man. Selling Sunset season 8 premiered on September 6, and to say it was drama-filled would be an understatement. Between the multiple arguments that broke out among realtors at the Oppenheim Group, to Chelsea Lazkani's divorce, the arrival of a new real estate agent, Alanna Gold who claimed to own Pioneertown, and Nicole's allegation against Emma, there was a lot to unpack. Despite being one of the top agents in the O Group, Nicole is no stranger to drama.

The real estate agent joined the luxurious firm in December 2014 but only became a cast member in Selling Sunset season 6 in 2022, after Maya Vander, Christine Quinn, and Vanessa Villela left. Nicole became quite popular due to her ongoing feud with Chrishell Stause. The two costars went head-to-head several times, with Nicole...

Selling Sunset: Alanna Gold's Pioneertown Bragging (& 7 Other Cringe Scenes You'll Never Forget)
Image
Selling Sunset star Alanna Gold got so excited about Pioneertown that she seemed to brag about owning the place even though she doesn't, and that wasn't the only cringe scene on the glitzy LA-based series. Plenty of times, cast members have gone too far, showcasing embarrassing antics. On the Netflix hit, egos are out of control - Oppenheim Group realtors jockey for position, fighting for the best listings and the most screen-time. This series often brings out the very worst in its participants, shining a light on ruthlessness that's almost concealed by Chanel suits, sky-high heels and supercars.

As the real estate agents try to grab the brass ring (and ring that too-loud bell), they often push too hard... sometimes, hilarity ensues. At other moments, watching them lower themselves is painful.

This show is ultimately about money. Realtors want it - rich clients have it. The O Group agents want...

Selling Sunset: Emma's Alleged Affair Damaged Her Reputation (& 7 Other Times Troublemaking On The Show Got Out Of Hand)
Image
Selling Sunset's Emma Hernan is angry because Nicole Young spread a rumor that she had an affair with a married man, and that isn't the only time that a cast member has stirred the pot. In fact, over eight drama-packed seasons, the feuds have been explosive. The Netflix series shows the glitzy, upscale side of Los Angeles - it's all about candy-colored skirt suits, spray tans, big hair and luxe Hollywood Hills enclaves. However, there's a seamy underbelly, as some Oppenheim Group realtors will do almost anything to usurp their rivals. When the manicured claws come out, it's not so pretty.

Selling Sunset season 8 exposed the shadow sides of certain O Group realtors, but trouble-making on the show's been raging like a wildfire since season 1. Reality TV is about ramping up the drama - when emotions are heightened, viewers can live vicariously through the cast members... this creates a sense of escapism.

Selling Sunset: Chelsea's Heartbreaker Husband Jeff Humiliated Her (& 7 Other Jaw-Dropping Moments From The Show)
Image
Selling Sunset season 8 has exposed some harsh truths about the cast members - it's showcased the inner worlds of the real estate agents like never before. This time around, there's been so much scandal and emotional turmoil. When the smoke cleared, it was obvious that there was real dysfunction in the Oppenheim Group. In fact, Nicole Young's trouble-making antics were so extreme that Chrishell Stause refused to film the reunion with her.

The fiery feuds in Selling Sunset season 8 are still smoldering. Offscreen, Emma Hernan's defending herself against damaging "affair with a married man" allegations that Nicole spread. Nicole's acting like some kind of queen on Instagram, clearly trying to shake off the shade she's getting from her castmates. She pretends she doesn't care, but maybe she should have thought twice before creating such a toxic environment. If she wanted to keep appearing on the show, it might...

Inside The Hollywood Reporter’s Power Broker Awards, Hosted by Jason Oppenheim and Mary Bonnet
Image
“It’s really not often that you get to see everyone in the same place,” Jason Oppenheim of The Oppenheim Group said Wednesday. “It’s pretty much just The Hollywood Reporter Power Broker Awards that I get to see everyone in one room. That’s really cool. That makes this special.”

Oppenheim was joined by colleague and Selling Sunset co-star Mary Bonnet to present THR‘s fourth annual Power Broker Awards. Neither was apprehensive. Instead, they were thrilled to be able to present awards of merit to friends and associates. “I would say I’m way more nervous at some other award shows,” Oppenheim said. “But I feel comfortable in front of these people. We do deals with them. I see them every day.”

Eclectic brokers, dressed in everything from evening gowns to well-worn jeans, mingled outdoors at the serene and elegant Swan Lake and the Hotel Bel- Air, where the awards ceremony was held.

Selling Sunset star Chelsea Lazkani unraveled when she heard rumors that her husband was romancing another woman in Los Angeles, and there are some clues that she might remain single for a long time, if not forever. The vibrant, confident realtor with the high-glam wardrobe became a mere shadow of herself for a while, but she never stopped fighting. Selling Sunset: "Absolutely Fabulous!": What Pioneertown Scammer Alanna, Chelsea & The Other Stars Wear In Season 8 (Their Style Is Wild)
Image
Selling Sunset season 8 has been a riveting watch so far - the sun-soaked, glitzy series is so LA, and its cast members, including newcomer Alanna Gold and the "queen of Manhattan Beach," diva Chelsea Lazkani, are showing off standout style. While the series isn't just about "absolutely fabulous" hair, makeup and clothes, the stars are dressed to kill. Chelsea was called out for flaunting too much skin, but she doesn't seem comfortable in modest clothes. At the Oppenheim Group, women (and Jason Oppenheim too) should wear exactly what they want, if only to entertain Netflix subscribers.

When the powers-that-be tried to reign in Chelsea's style, she didn't look like herself. She's all about form-fitting and revealing clothes that show off a toned, petite body. She wants couture-level glamour. Chelsea loves to shock, so it's possible she wears micro-skirts and corsets just to raise eyebrows. In the reality TV realm, how could that be bad?...

Christine Quinn's Divorce Settlement Has Caused More Questions Than Answers
Image
Selling Sunset alum Christine Quinn is used to shocking tabloid headlines because of her villainous role in the Netflix reality TV show, but now the headlines center around her ongoing divorce and custody battle. One of the biggest question marks will be what Christine's divorce settlement is after being married for four years and enduring alleged domestic violence outbursts from her soon-to-be ex.

There Will Be No ‘Selling Sunset’ Season 8 Reunion, Amid Cast Mutiny (Exclusive)
Image
Spoiler Alert: Though this article is a news story, it also contains spoilers for Season 8 of “Selling Sunset.”

The drama among the “Selling Sunset” cast continues to spill out onto social media and in the press, but sadly for viewers, Netflix will not be filming a reunion for Season 8 of the show. Reunions for “Selling Sunset” aren’t ritualized in the way that reunions for Bravo shows are, but after the Netflix series produced its first one in 2022 for Season 5, the cast sitting down with “Queer Eye” star Tan France for a special that drops within two weeks of the season is something that audiences have grown to expect. And after a messy eighth season of the popular real estate show, the castmates of “Selling Sunset” have a lot to discuss in front of their fans — but won’t be doing so. (Netflix’s representatives had no comment.)

The melodrama is manifold.

Selling Sunset Season 8: Did Chelsea Lazkani's Ego Ruin Her Marriage? (Does Her Ex Deserve All The Blame?)
Image
In Selling Sunset season 8, the strong, beautiful and determined queen that is Chelsea Lazkani unraveled, devastated by cheating allegations about her husband Jeff Lazkani, but maybe she was riding for a fall. Yes, Chelsea's a brilliant realtor who rocks Manhattan Beach, California, selling luxe homes and pocketing commissions that aren't exactly chump change. She also dresses to kill, flaunting some seriously expensive clothes and accessories, including Azzedine Alaa dresses, Versace pumps and Blumarine necklaces. Some of her #Ootd, as the charming cad Daniel Cleaver from Bridget Jones' Diary would say, feature "non-existent skirts."

She's been called out for unprofessional attire. Chelsea tried an earth-toned business suit and appeared to be miserable in the dull ensemble. That's why this diva needs to shine in extreme designs that showcase her confidence. While there is a lot to love about Chelsea, she's egotistical. When she scolded Bri Tiesi for bringing Nick Cannon's baby into a broken home,...
