Natalya Dvoretskaya was born in Chelyabinsk, Chelyabinsk region, RSFSR, USSR [now Russia]. An army brat, she lived in Germany for 6 years while a teenager, then lived in France for a while, ultimately returning to Russia. She has been acting since 2008. Her first film was Cold Souls (2009), directed by Sophie Barthes, and with Paul Giamatti in the main role. Her part was small, but that's how Natalya got involved in film acting and decided to be an actress. In 2012, she graduated from the famous and prestigious Boris Shchukin Theatrical Institute in Moscow. Natalya first became popular in her native Russia during the long-running series Yasmin (2013), where she played Masha, a young woman who emigrated to Turkey to start a new life and to find herself. All 62 episodes of the series were shot in Moscow on a huge, expensive set made to look like Istanbul. That was a kind of break-through role for her, and after that a lot of producers and castings directors began to give her roles. She has had more than 35 different roles in feature films and television series, in comedies, dramas, and adventure films. She has played deep and intense dramatic roles, as well as comedic roles. Natalya acts on the stage, too, and played Gittel Mosca in an off-Broadway production of "Two for the Seesaw", which garnered positive reviews. She is fluent in English, German, French, and Turkish, in addition to her native Russian. To hone her English acting skills, she attended The New York Film Academy in New York, graduating in 2015.
