Not Even Madea Can Take the Streaming Crown From This 96% Rotten Tomatoes Must-Watch Adventure on Netflix

Tyler Perry (Sistas) has proven himself as a valuable asset to Netflix. Just recently, the comedian and filmmaker managed to take over the streamer's charts with the surprise hit movie Straw, which dominated the global Top 10 and accumulated millions of views. It was pretty safe to say that the new installment of the Madeafranchise, Madea's Destination Wedding, would be a top performer – and it was. The new movie just didn't count on a dark horse that is quickly becoming one of Netflix's biggest hits ever: KPop Demon Hunters.

This past week, the animated movie continued its winning streak among the Netflix Top 10 globally. Ever since it premiered, the movie has ranked among the most-watched titles on the platform, and this week it added 24 million views to its total – which, at 80 million views, makes it one of Netflix's biggest animated movies ever. In addition to a surprising performance on Netflix, the...

5 One‑Season Comedies on Apple TV+ to Binge This Weekend
Image
Apple TV+’s sci-fi shows like Foundation and Severance are famous for their unrelenting plot twists and complex characters. However, the comedies of the streamer are not something to sneer at as well, especially when they’re led by heavyweights like Ted Lasso. But not many want to invest in a multi-season long comedy. After all, sometimes a short and sweet season is all one needs to get a few laughs before moving on.

Thankfully, Apple TV+ is a treasure trove of one-season laughter buckets that deliver a satisfying and funny story in a few episodes. So, if you are looking to cleanse your palate after heavy dramas with a satire on fame or perhaps with quirky workplace shenanigans, then this is the right place.

Netflix's New Fantasy Adventure Movie With Squid Game Star Debuts With Strong Rotten Tomatoes Score
Image
A new Netflix movie starring one of the leads of Squid Game is doing well on Rotten Tomatoes. The South Korean survival thriller Squid Game is one of the streaming service's biggest original series of all time, with season 1's 256.2 million views making it the most-watched season on the platform and season 2's 192.6 million making it the third most-watched. The series, which was created by Hwang Dong-hyuk, follows a group of adults competing in deadly children's games for a big cash prize.

Because most of the core characters were killed over the course of season 1, there are very few members of the Squid Game cast who have appeared in both seasons. These core stars include Lee Jung-jae as Seong Gi-hun (Player 456), Wi Ha-joon as Detective Hwang Jun-ho, and Lee Byung-hun as Hwang In-ho (The Front Man). All three stars are also set to appear in the upcoming season 3, which is set to conclude the series.

Bravo’s Love Hotel Season 1 Review: Swapping Conflict for Connection
Image
“Bravo’s Love Hotel” presents a deceptively simple concept: take four stars from the Real Housewives universe, fly them to a sun-drenched resort, and set them up with a pool of bachelors. The participants are familiar faces to fans of the franchise: Shannon Storms Beador, Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, and the one-and-only LuAnn de Lesseps.

Each arrives in Los Cabos with a public history of romantic mishaps. The show gives them an opportunity to find a new connection, facilitated by comedian Joel Kim Booster as the resort’s quick-witted “love concierge.” What could have been a standard reality spin-off instead becomes a fascinating document.

It places its subjects, women whose lives have been edited for drama for years, into a controlled environment designed for something else entirely. The premise asks what happens when you change the formula that made these figures famous.

The Stars and the Uninitiated

The series assembles a...
