Fans of the Sandra Oh-led Killing Eve, which ran for four seasons from 2018 to 2022, are getting a prequel series in the form of the BBC’sHoney. The series, which was previously announced, per Deadline, will actually be a prequel series to Killing Eve,which will focus on the story of Carolyn Martens, who, in Killing Eve, was played by Fiona Shaw (the Harry Potter franchise).
Although the fact that Honey will be a prequel series to the Phoebe Waller-Bridge-created Killing Eve was not announced with the series, there were hints that it was going to be a prequel. The lead in Honey is named “Marta” and Sid Gentle Films, which produced Killing Eve, is also producing Honey. The series is being written by Emma Moran, who is the creator of the Disney+ series Extraordinary.

Exclusive: Billed as a “flirty” Cold War spy drama, the BBC and Zdf’s Honey sounded a surefire bet when it was unveiled at Series Mania last week.
Turns out the broadcasters left out a rather sweet nugget of information.
Deadline hears Honey is in fact the previously-teased prequel to Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Killing Eve and will tell the story of Carolyn Martens’ character, who was played with BAFTA-winning aplomb by Fiona Shaw.
It is highly unusual for networks to release a show’s synopsis while holding back such a plot point, although there were clues. The lead in Honey is called ‘Marta’ and the production outfit is none other than Killing Eve producer Sid Gentle. Honey writer Emma Moran, who created Disney+’s BAFTA-nominated Extraordinary, was not involved with Killing Eve but has a Waller-Bridge-esque dramedy flair to her writing. The broadcasters declined comment on Honey’s connection with Killing Eve.

Sky One sci-fi Intergalactic is part conspiracy thriller, part prison break drama, and all space romp. It’s set 150 years in the future, when all of Earth’s nations have united into a single authority known as the Commonworld, and a new element has enabled Earth’s people to escape ecological collapse and colonise other planets via intergalactic travel. Over eight episodes, available to stream as a box-set on Now, we follow a group of female fugitives searching for freedom and uncovering long-buried lies.
The cast has been gathered from far and wide, ranging from relative newcomers to TV like Diany Samba-Bandza to more familiar faces Natasha O’Keeffe, Thomas Turgoose and Eleanor Tomlinson, and established actors Parminder Nagra, Craig Parkinson and Neil Maskell. Here’s who everybody is playing, and the major roles where you may have encountered them before.

This week marks the launch of new Sky Original series Intergalactic, and to mark the occasion we had the pleasure of speaking to several members of this illustrious ensemble. Below find interviews with Parminder Nagra (Bend it Like Beckham) and Craig Parkinson (Line of Duty), as well as Sharon Duncan-Brewster (Rogue One) and Oliver Coopersmith (Tin Star), before ending on Thomas Turgoose (This is England).
We discuss everything, ranging from the remarkable sets the actors worked on, to the costumes, and the characters they’ve been given. We talk about the film’s strong, empowering feminist approach, and why even though who turn up their nose to science-fiction, ought to give this one a go. We ask whether the actors were able to nab any memorabilia from the shoot, and we even chat to Parkinson about Line of Duty. Enjoy!

Sky One’s new sci-fi drama series, Intergalactic, features a cast as stellar as its out-of-this-world settings. On a visit to its impressive set at Manchester’s appropriately named Space Studios, we got to chat to some of the actors who are boldly going into the depths of a fascinating galaxy. For those of us whose biggest source of excitement this past year has been a trip to the shops, it’s a tempting proposition.
The show’s key characters are a ragtag bunch of prisoners aboard the transport ship Hemlock and their guards. They’re forging a new future after they make a break for freedom, with a futuristic Earth’s authoritarian government in hot pursuit. The lively, larky chemistry between the actors is evident from the minute they come bounding in, covered in alarmingly realistic fake blood after filming the violent aftermath of a parasite infestation.
