Due to the series' formulaic nature, most Power Rangers episodes don't contain especially cathartic moments. Nice as it can be to see a character learn a lesson or use a new weapon or Zord to defeat a monster; these things are expected. Where the series shines is when it takes its time to build up to something big or when it catches its audience by complete surprise.
Power Rangers is frequently capable of making fans leap out of their seats with joy. Throughout the entire series, there have been moments that feel especially satisfying because of how big their impact is on either a narrative or meta-textual level. These moments include outstandingly executed victories over villains, meaningful changes in the relationships between characters, and the re-introduction of familiar faces to the show.

The Power Rangers franchise, based on the Japanese Super Sentai series, has run for 30 years, with a new cast of Rangers taking up the mantle almost every year. In the 30 seasons of Power Rangers, there are some Ranger colors that constantly appear, with Red Rangers, Blue Rangers, and Yellow Ranges in almost every Rangers team. However, there are some Ranger colors that break the standard.
Every few seasons, a new Ranger color debuts, such as the appearance of Boom in Power Rangers S.P.D., the first Orange Ranger to appear on-screen. In some cases, a Ranger color that is usually worn by women is given to men, or vice versa, such as Vesper from Power Rangers Hyperforce being the first and only female to wear a black Ranger suit in the franchise's history. Some of these characters stood out, breaking the status quo for their Ranger colors.

Warning: This article contains Spoilers for Power Rangers Cosmic Fury.
Power Rangers Cosmic Fury introduces the show's first Orange Ranger after 30 years, fulfilling a long-time fan wish. The Orange Ranger is a rarity in the Super Sentai series that Power Rangers is based on, with only a few shows featuring an Orange Ranger. The inclusion of an Orange Ranger in Cosmic Fury is even more important considering that the show may have been the end of the current Power Rangers chronology.
Power Rangers finally has an Orange Ranger 30 years later thanks to Power Rangers Cosmic Fury’s Fern, played by Jacqueline Joe. Since 1993’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the franchise has seen dozens of seasons, multiple teams, and hundreds of Power Rangers. However, some Power Rangers colors are far more common than others. For example, every Power Rangers team includes a Red Ranger, whereas not every season has a Green or White Ranger.

New Power Rangers Cosmic Fury images may have seemingly revealed the Orange Ranger's identity. With the show set to premiere on Netflix on September 29, the sequel to Dino Fury is perhaps one of the most ambitious Power Rangers installments yet, with the cast including the first female Red Ranger (Hunter Deno) and the return of original Blue Ranger, Billy Cranston (David Yost). However, the most speculated topic has been the rumors about an Orange Ranger, the first ever in the Power Rangers franchise.

Power Rangers Cosmic Fury introduces a never-before-seen Power Ranger color, which adds to it being a season of many "firsts" for the franchise. The addition of Fern as the Orange Ranger marks the first time Power Rangers has featured an actual Orange Ranger on the TV show. Cosmic Fury is the first Power Rangers season to have a main team with three female Rangers and two Ranger couples, breaking traditional Ranger team dynamics.
Power Rangers Cosmic Fury, the next Power Rangers season, features a never-before-seen Power Ranger color that changes the franchise in many ways. All episodes of Power Rangers Cosmic Fury will premiere globally on Netflix on September 29. Cosmic Fury, which is partially adapting Uchu Sentai Kyuranger, is the 30th Power Rangers season and will bring the saga full circle with the return of original Blue Ranger Billy Cranston. Mighty Morphin’s Lord Zedd is also making a comeback.

Power Rangers Cosmic Fury's new intro reveals a brand new Power Ranger color through one of the Zords: Orange. This is set to be the first Orange Ranger in the franchise's 30-year history. Jacqueline Joe, who played Fern in Power Rangers Dino Fury, will be joining the main cast of Power Rangers Cosmic Fury. This suggests that Fern will become a Power Ranger in the new season. If Fern becomes the Orange Ranger, she and her girlfriend Izzy, Dino Fury's Green Ranger, will be Ranger partners too.

Ignoring shifts in cast and subject matter, the most noticeable difference between the brilliant first season of Jane Campion and Gerard Lee's Top of the Lake and its second season, Top of the Lake: China Girl, is in setting. Griffin's return to Paradise, her hometown and the setting of her terrifying, life-altering rape as a teenager, felt like …...

There is something darkly meditative about Jane Campion's (Bright Star) work Top of the Lake, which was the first television series ever to be screened at Sundance, and definitely deserves the distinction. The premise is reminiscent of works like The Killing or even Twin Peaks, where a special investigator begins unraveling a disturbing central mystery that is ripping a small, remote town apart. In this case it's Mad Men's Elizabeth Moss as Robin, who is home in New Zealand visiting her cancer-stricken mother when a 12 year old girl, Tui (Jacqueline Joe), the daughter of a local drug lord, is found to be five months pregnant. The father? "No one," Tui writes down. Soon she disappears completely, and what follows is a dark and twisted journey that uncovers the moral decay of what appears to be a pristine paradise.
