The Tourist: Season Two? Jamie Dornan Series' Future Uncertain in the US
The Tourist needs a new home. The action drama series has been renewed for a second season by BBC, but The Tourist has lost its US outlet. Season one was released on HBO Max in March 2022, but the American streaming service didn't pick up the second season. Max is removing the first season from the service on September 8th, a sign that the streamer isn't reconsidering.

Starring Jamie Dornan, Danielle Macdonald, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Damon Herriman, Alex Dimitriades, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, and Kamil Ellis, the series follows a man (Dornan) who wakes up in an Australian hospital without his memory. He must remember his past before it catches up to him.

The Tourist: Season Two; BBC Renews Jamie Dornan and Danielle Macdonald Drama Series
The Tourist has been renewed for a second season. Initially billed as a limited series, BBC has decided to bring back the thriller series for more. Debuting in January 2022, The Tourist was among the most watched on the UK network, with an average of 12 million viewers per episode.

The drama series was released on in the US, but the streaming service has not picked up the second season yet.

Starring Jamie Dornan, Danielle Macdonald, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Damon Herriman, Alex Dimitriades, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, and Kamil Ellis, The Tourist follows a man (Dorman) who is in a car crash and wakes up in an Australian hospital. He has amnesia and must work to uncover his identity before his past catches up with him.

HBO Max announced the March 3 premiere of its mini-series “The Tourist,” starring Golden Globe nominee Jamie Dornan (“Belfast”). Dornan stars as a British man who is pursued by a large tank truck in the Australian outback, ending with him waking up in the hospital with no memory of his identity. As people from his past follow him around, he begins to look for answers.

The cast also includes Danielle Macdonald (“Dumplin’”), Shalom Brune-Franklin (“Line of Duty”), Damon Herriman (“Mindhunter”), Alex Dimitriades (“Total Control”), Ólafur Darri Ólafsson (“Eurovision Song Contest”), and Kamil Ellis (“Bushwacked!”).

“The Tourist” was written by Emmy and Golden Globe winners Harry and Jack Williams (“Baptiste”), who also executive produce alongside Christopher Aird (“Liar”). Olivia Deeble and Luka Gracie’s ‘More Than This’ to stream on Paramount+

Paramount+ will showcase an authentic take on the teen experience next year with coming-of-age drama More Than This.

Written and co-created by teen actor Olivia Deeble, the six-part series tells the oftentimes raw story of five 17-year-old students and their teacher whose diverse worlds collide when they are thrown together into a Year 12 English class.

Deeble stars alongside 18-year-old co-creator Luka Gracie and a young cast that includes Kamil Ellis, Ellmir Asipi, Josh Heuston, Oisin O’Leary, Celine Ajobong, Tharanya Tharan, and newcomer Selena Brincat, with Bert Labonte as the teacher.

Baby Banksia is producing the series with the assistance of Big Finish Creative, Shapeshifter Studios, and the Australian Children’s Television Foundation (Actf). Charmaine Gorman and Kate Gorman are producing, with the latter also directing with John Sheedy. Jason Haigh-Ellery, David Devjak, and Bernadette O’Mahony are executive producing with the Gorman siblings.

The casting directors of 1%, Breath, Sweet Country and The Merger are the finalists in the feature film category of the Casting Guild of Australia Awards.

The Cga has also announced the 10 winners of this year’s Rising Stars awards, who are nominated by Cga members and chosen by a committee comprising Kirsty McGregor, Nikki Barrett, Anousha Zarkesh, Tom McSweeney, Faith Martin and Nathan Lloyd.

The recipients are George Pullar (Fighting Season), Michael Sheasby (The Nightingale), Harry Greenwood (True History of the Kelly Gang), Tess Haubrich (Bad Mothers), Markella Kavenagh (The Cry), George Zhao (The Family Law), Milly Alcock (Upright), Kimie Tsukakoshi (The Bureau of Magical Things), Harvey Zielinski and Alexandra Jensen.

McSweeney tells If: “I’ve watched Kimie grow as a performer over the past decade from a kid with a fantastic singing voice to an actress of conviction, dedication and positivity.
